Members Paddy Power Cup II – And The Winner Is…

Having successfully negotiated a qualifying round and nine head-to-head match-ups, Fuzzy Dunlop is the Members Paddy Power Cup II champion. Deposing our previous winner Kippax Kikkers, he saw off The Lord 64 – 60 in Gameweek 33 to take the top prize.

There was so little to separate our finalists, with six of their starting eleven identical. In the end the deciding factor was Fuzzy Dunlop’s midfield duo of Theo Walcott and Antonio Valencia outscoring The Lord’s Clint Dempsey and Juan Mata by those four points that split them. A mini-game that could have gone either way. Nonetheless, congratulations to Fuzzy Dunlop!

Also in action last weekend were mch and Pablod, both looking to claim the prize for finishing third. Outscoring our finalists, their match ended in a 73 – 67 win for mch. Papiss Cisse versus Stephane Sessegnon settled this tie, with all other attacking options cancelling each other out.

So the prizes break down as follows…

  • Fuzzy Dunlop – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • The Lord – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • mch – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

    hey people, i have 9 players playing this week with dempsey, bale, simpson, cisse and kelly(ful) and begovic with doubles for gameweek 36. im struggling to decide weather to use my transfer to put in another player to make it 10 (was thinking swapping kelly for a sunderland defender, or swapping bale for the likes or walcott or silva, or even maybe both with a -4).
    im struggling to decide weather to bank the transfer so i can hav a big rotation in gameweek 36 and have players playing twice... what do you lot suggest i do

    Right...one GW punt on a striker...Yakubu, Bendtner or Graham. Been thinking Yakubu and most have indicated yes...Graham seems the least favorable option...and Sunderland are hot and cold. Yak on penalties also but playing away to a Swansea team that may or may not be cracking. So what is the verdict then? Oh...Yak means I mirror my rival so could be viewed as a good or bad thing...I doubt he has 11 for this gameweek (possibly only 9)...I'll have a full squad barring rotation concerns...

    Suggestions for this team? I have 10 players for GW 34 with 1 transfer:

    Mignolet (Schwarzer)

    Verm, Evans, McAuley (Simpson, Skrtel)

    Walcott, Sigurdsson, Valencia, Surman (Dempsey)

    RVP, Rooney (Cisse)

    The only DGW player I feel is worth getting rid of is maybe Skrtel. Thinking of saving the transfer as well, although 10 players with one being Surman is a little worrying...
