Using the ‘per 90’ tool to assess FPL defenders with the biggest goal threat

Earlier this week we focused on the new “per 90 minutes” addition to our Members’ Area by checking out the most creative defenders in 2019/20 Fantasy Premier League.

Our series now continues with an assessment of the standout players for goal threat from the back.

I just didn't notice I left them in a list. Literally everything in the game is somehow somewhere in a python list, but I then format it for display. Easy to fix.

96 without Salah. Up to 38.

Selling Vardy (obv just got and captained this week) and Perez for a hit this week

Playing without a Pool Player for 3Weeks now and moved up the ranks like crazy.

Thx to KDB Perez Vardy Kane Rashford Aurier WanBissaka Chilwell

    Now back to Auba (C)

with those city and pool fixtures
trippling up on spurs and leicester and double united was the way to go

thx. its much more fun without pool players but their fixtures were just so bad when i wildcarded three weeks ago.
before i had mane and salah and decided to radically change that.
Fixtures were outstanding and simulators go after fixtures, esp with the big strikers at home.

you can bet on two goals for auba kane vardy aguero(4in2) each time when a bottomhalf league team squares up.

    2. Dr. Agabuse
      • 11 Years
      3 years, 10 months ago

Until last week i had jimenez and aguero. niw vardy kane boom.

If there were a stat showing how much virtual fantasy money everyone had moved around, i'd be up there.
no week taht i dont get a new captain almost.
sadly in real fantasy i dont have the guts to play like that..
or it wouldnt be rewarded like that.
3home fixs in a row also makes it easy and selling while a player is hot is easier when a simulator is recalculating everything.

Four Serie A players have tested positive for covid19 - one at Torino and four at Sampdoria. The EPL would be stupid to try to restart the season.

    1. goriuanx
      • 13 Years

In that case, we'd be stupid to restart football before a vaccine is available.

By that time most if not all clubs would go bust.

Football will return, as will many other businesses whether people like it or not.

The economy will literally crumble to nothing if we don’t start opening up again soon. Im fearful for small businesses, a lot of pubs and restaurants will be forced to close for good, i’m worried what our country will look like in 6 months time. I dont think the Government have a clue what’s going on

If they restart it, play a game or two and then just a couple of players test positive then the whole thing would have to be postponed again. So it's stupid to start it up when they don't HAVE to do it.

I suspect players of relegation teams are the most likely to be tested positive for Coronavirus (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) hence to prevent this scenario the EPL should make contingency plans on how they would address which, joking aside could happen, and complete the season.

We have no idea when the vaccine is coming. ‘A couple’ of players could test positive next season. Maybe the season after that. Do we postpone until 22/23? I’d imagine the sport is pretty much gone by then.

I agree that that would be pretty grim. But you're just making assumptions about what will happen. The facts are that we are in the worst of the pandemic right NOW, and the current football season does not need to be finished. Void it and get one more distraction out of the way for the government, NHS etc, use the best of the various options we have for naming winners etc, and plan for next season when hopefully the hard work that is being done by scientists on a vaccine will have borne fruit.

Totally agree that no football should be played right now but still struggling to grasp why this season has to be voided. The only thing that matters really is delaying play again to the point at which it is optimal in terms of human life - does it really matter at this point whether it’s considered this season or next unless there is a vested interest at play?

Yes theoretically the season could continue in July, August, even September, but that would be messy and would likely impact the start of next season. And it would be a huge distraction hanging around for the next several months when the government, NHS, police etc have bigger things to worry about. I miss football too..but gotta be realistic and do the right thing.

I know. This has little to do with team allegiances.

If we wait for a vaccine before playing football, pretty much every club would fold and the game is gone.

I do agree this season shouldn't be played out though, I think it should be curtailed.

The government must do everything possible to reduce the risk and spread of a second wave.

That being said, waiting until a vaccine is too long. We need to find some sensible middle ground.

Exactly. Completely get that we’d rather no-one had it but it isn’t quite as simple as that. Also as far as I’m aware Italian football hasn’t restarted so struggling to actually even see the relevance beyond the fave that people aren’t safe regardless.

How’s my actual FPL team looking ahead of a restart?

    Pope / McCarthy
    TAA / Saiss / Fernandez / Baldock / Tang
    Salah / KDB / Bruno / Martial / Richarlison
    DCL / Jimenez / Ayew

I will be playing 352 most weeks..

Thinking of swapping Richarlison to Son and upgrading Tanganga to a 4.7 max, just not sure who? Not sure I want double Sheff defence? Dunk maybe?
