Using the ‘per 90’ tool to assess FPL midfielders with the best goal threat

Our series of Members’ articles looking at per 90 minutes statistics has already focused on defenders for creatvity and goal threat.

Having also checked out the standout midfielders for key passes, we turn our attentions to those who have impressed when it comes to shots inside the opposition box.

It should be noted that players must have at least 10 appearances in order to qualify for our assessment.

Hi, since there is not much to write atm but i feel that a lot of people still come to look at new entries (gottcha), i wish to create a memory hour here:

Write down a specific personal memory of a gameweek (one GW) that you remember that gave you a special feeling or ended your hopes or changed your luck or won you your minileague or lost you your sanity for real life.
The day you rode home just to change the captain on your pc pre phonetime or the day when you changed your wc team into a succes a minute before deadline or the day you bought Dusan Tadic and he scored 4assists.
smth like that and it may be very personal!

I'm a relatively new FPL player (this is only my second year) but I've had my fair share of moments. However my pick has to be GW11 this season - I scored 90 points despite not owning Vardy and my captain (Sterling) blanking. That was the week where Lundstram got 21 points, Soyuncu scored a goal (in fact all my defenders scored 6+ points), and Auba and Tammy both did well. But it was the rank swing that really stood out - I got a GW rank of 98k and jumped from 2.2m into the top million and stayed there since.

Imagine I had captained someone else, that would have been a 100+ point GW surely!

There's also GW38 last year, I didn't get the best score but I clutched my mini-league that day, ended up winning by 20 points despite spending most of the season in 2nd place.

Is there a fixture swing before the gameweek 19 deadline for using the first Wildcard?

Leicester and Pool's fixtures definitely took a turn for the worse earlier this week, but you've missed the start of it now (including Pool away at City). So I'd be tempted to save it until the last possible moment when City and Wolves fixtures take a turn for the worse.

How is this looking for a Virtual FPL Free Hit team ?

    Heaton
    TAA, Alonso, Robbo
    Salah (c), KDB, Son, Lamela
    DCL, Abraham, Haller

    Button, Hayden, Masuaku, Simpson

Downgrade TAA or Robbo and upgrade a forward?

You'd probably want a Wolf in there.

Three Brighton players tested positive for Coronavirus? What a coincidence! I take it back, shouldn't be so sceptical in my old age.

I think I've finalised my FH team, just one more decision to make.
Double LIV defence (TAA + Robbo) or TAA + Doherty?
On Robbo now but Doherty could be spreading the risk of CS.

Robbo better chance of a CS, to go with attacking returns.

Rather than Heaton and Holgate on my FH, how does Jakupovic and Taggett sound ?

I'd risk it with double LIV defense, they can also get attacking returns.

For bitm, both options are not that great tbh but between them maybe Targett because he's more nailed than Holgate who misses out frequently.

Hey Rag, question - will an injured player always return in the GW stated, or is it possible that they may return a couple GWs earlier if they "recover" quicker?

There is no magic Harry Kane recovery 😀 They will always stick to the plan.
