Its just estimated guess work at the moment but you're probably looking at something like:

Bruno (200 points) + Soucek (100 points)
Greenwood (140 points) + Grealish (150 points)

As you can see you probably can't go wrong with either option. I'd go with Bruno because it's easier to downgrade than upgrade.

Double LFC defence absolutely locked in for me. Easy to forget Adrian played around 10 PL games last season and pretty much made an error in every one.

My thoughts on those with the potential to do it, but where game time risk or the ability to become a donkey quickly (e.g. DCL and Wood) may inhibit them (£7.0m or less):

Midfielders: Foden (£6.5m), Traore (£6.5m), Saka (£5.5m), ASM (£5.5m)
Forwards: DCL (£7.0m), Wood (£6.5m), Antonio (£6.5m)

Saint-Maximin is a real possibility. If he had played every minute last season and kept the same scoring rate, he would have had 169 points. If Newcastle can get some other pieces around him, he could explode.

I think Salah and KDB are fixture proof so I'll have them regardless of fixtures. Third premium will depend somewhat on fixtures but it's most likely going to be Bruno

Pending fixtures I’m on 2 premium mids Salah KDB ( plus Greenwood) with 2 premium strikers Werner Martial up top. Getting Aubameyang as 3rd premium mid did not fit in structure

Werner to Rashford imo... There are more cheap good forwards than midfielders this year. Rashford and Wood gets more points than Werner and Ritchie imo

Not the type of price points I like to have in my starting team.

It's a boring and unnecessarily constricting approach imo. Most players can be gotten in with a mini wild card (2FTs and a hit) anyway

It is based on the premise that you can't win FPL in the first 8-10 GWs, but you can lose it.

Why? Because price volatility is at its highest in the first few GWs (when there are most active players). And a loss of £0.1m at the start of the season is effectively a £0.5m and points hits because of how the initial pricing structure is set.

So by choosing an initial option where you can downgrade to a player who is £0.5m / £1.0m less then it allows you to jump on the 'good' players without having to take hits to restructure completely.

Price points is irrelevant to anything imo. Infact it is a distraction from the main objective of picking the players you think will score more points. Usually all gets out of sync after the first 4 gws anyway. Just like defender rotation

The price point idea hasn’t really bothered me at all in the past, but it’s bugging me with Fernandes this season. I don’t see him as a captain or or a season-keeper, and the only mid within a million of him would be a “sideways move” to Rashford. It’s encouraging me to go for the other Utd options

He is tempting me to some extent. Number one on the list at that price point

Issue for me is he’s essentially competing with premium defenders at that price point. This is compounded by the issue that there aren’t very many contenders at that price. Not sure how I’d switch if he looked a wrong move. That can change of course
