Harry Kane‘s (£10.5m) end to the 2019/20 season suggests he could be the key asset for those looking to tap into Spurs’ appealing fixtures this time around.

Jose Mourinho’s men sit second on the Season Ticker for attacking potential over the first six Gameweeks, based on their opponents.

During this period they host Everton, Newcastle and West Ham while they’re road trips take them to Southampton, Manchester United and Burnley.

Spurs players had not appeared in too many Fantasy Premier League drafts before Thursday’s fixture release, but now that we know the schedules, Mourinho’s charges have become more popular.

As Fantasy managers search for the best way to invest in Spurs’ attack, Son Heung-min (£9.0m) and Kane are the front-runners, currently sat in 18% and 14.5% of squads respectively.

Ahead of the new season, we have compared how these two attackers performed during Project Restart. As this uses Opta data, only those with a valid Fantasy Football Scout subscription can access it in full.

What were Son and Kane’s average positions?

According to the player comparison tool Bruno is a way better pick than Rashford based on a GW30-38 comparison parameter. However, I can't help but feel that after adjusting for the fact that Bruno outperformed by a lot, while Rashy underperformed slightly, the advantage of Bruno would not be that great. Between the two of them, would you be focusing on

    A. Getting Bruno after GW1
    B. Getting Rash after GW1 + £1.0 to invest elsewhere?

Bruno. More integral to Man Utd getting goals. Rashford gets caught out wide too much for my liking.

A - think Bruno is close to essential in my eyes given how nailed he is, how high his ownership will be, his various avenues to points and being on penalties in a side that win a lot and should continue to do so with the speedy attackers they have

Neither. A lot of rotation in the Wolves midfield with Traore, Jota, Podence, Neto and Dendoncker all fighting for 2 spots.

Seems to be the season to go big as much as possible and downgrade when form and certainty of starts appears for mid range picks.

I’d usually do price points but looks less relevant this year.

All the big value picks are so reliable for points.

It’s not so much money which is the issue, just hard to find a striker spot for him. I’m interested in Ings/Adams, Vardy, Werner, Mitro and Kane. With Kane being the most expensive and having the option of Son he is hard to justify

Kane ended the season on better form but Son had a higher ppg over the season and is considerably cheaper. Also, I'm not sure how much you can rely on Spurs/Mourinho for attacking points atm and as I want Werner, I can't fit Kane in to my structure.

Yeah, the article makes it sound like we're choosing between two assets at the same price.

I don't feel confident captaining Kane, and 10.5 is too much for someone I won't captain.

This team seems pretty sensible with future planning in mind, which would be Son>Bruno, Auba>KDB and then possibly upgrading KWP to Doherty, or Armstrong to someone around 7 mil.

    Ryan
    TAA - KWP - Vinagre
    Son - Salah - Auba - Armstrong
    Mitro - Werner - Adams

    2.5 itb for future options/moves

Have a theory that spending heavy in attack is the way to go for a couple of reasons:
    1. Short preseason. Cohesion will be weaker amongst teams and training will have been more limited so I expect more goals because of this.
    2. Stronger attacking assets than the beginning of last season. Think Chelsea, Man Utd, Southampton, Brighton have improved. Harry Kane also seems in better shape. Leeds may also be a strong addition to the league but this remains to be seen. Only West Ham seem to have obviously regressed in potential.
    3. With the exception of Pulisic not too many attacking injuries currently carried into the season, but seem to be a number of defensive injuries with some teams in particular Leicester and Crystal Palace looking pretty plagued in that department.

What does everybody think? Has this been explored anywhere else?

while i dont agree with any of your points, i do see value in the strikers. I'll be going with one 9.5-10.5m, one 8.5/9m and one 6/6/5m striker. Some good options in each of those price points

Attacking full backs the way to go in defence.

We will probably get more information to decide with pre-season and transfers but for now, which option would you prefer?:

    A) Werner and Greenwood
    B) Ziyech and Martial

Does anybody know who takes free kicks/penalties for the promoted teams?

    I think pens are:
    Fulham - Mitrovic
    Leeds - Klich
    West Brom - Austin

But could be wrong and not sure on free kicks?

Klich takes most of Leeds’s pens but I heard Bamford took a couple

Intrigued to know if Pereira takes West Brom’s free kicks and/or corners

I did threads on each of these teams on Twitter if u want to check them out (@coysfpl)

      Yes spot on.

With Leeds, Klich and Bamford rotate (when one misses other one takes duties), Klich is currently on them

Great reading, love that Pereira is on both free kicks and corners. Fast becoming nailed in my team!

    Second iteration
    McCarthy | Nyland
TAA, Doherty, Vinagre | Bernardo, Williams
Salah, Fernandes, Son, ASM | Stephens
    Werner, Ings, Mitrovic

    Missing Arsenal option atm

    Any thoughts here?

    Lloris Nyland
    TAA Doherty Davies KWP Williams
    Salah Auba *Havertz* Pereira Armstrong
    Werner Mitro Brewster

Will just have to make a slight adjustment if Havertz is more than 7.5 (downgrading Davies) Not sure they would make him more expensive than Ziyech tbh.

Will play 352 for most part and gives me a decent rotation for fixtures in defence.

Just don't think Lloris is worth the money.. get Aurier instead if you want Spurs cover and Mcarthy/Ryan. Upgrade somewhere else

I prefer my setup as is. I can change up both Pereira and Armstrong with other assets. Defence is well balanced. Lloris will be set forget. Spurs have done much better with him back in goal. Highest ppg last season out of all GK's.

Are you confident Davies is nailed? If so, could be a great pick, mourinho defense looks good for this season and with loris back

The news surrounding Wolves bringing in an extra body at wingback makes Vinagre now very interesting, however, their fixtures after GW2 is too good to go without IMO. If the replacement decreases the 1.5 that was saved I feel like the best option hypothetically speaking looms as Doherty.
What is everyone's thoughts on this?

Gw2 is time to bench Doherty.

Yes, but you are picking him as a keeper.

To be honest so long as the move happens soon I'm happy enough - would rather be forced into picking Doherty and going with another 4.5

I tend to agree. don't want to be making another trade when the priority is City and United transfers.

Is there any way we can see scores per GW for last season for players not managers?
