  Sandro is quite attacking but looked to me (last night) like the Brazil FBs don't really get that far forward, with Neymar drifting wide toward Vini to create overloads instead. I think maybe Thiago Silva's set piece threat outweighs the FBs attacking potential

    Definitely. Tim Vickery was saying exactly that yesterday. Apparently Tite explains it by saying he wants Man City fullbacks, not Liverpool fullbacks.
    
    Having said that, it may be different if Neymar doesn't play.

      Can't see Qatar being so poor v Senegal. As bad as they were they only conceded once in open play v Ecuador. They're at home, have won an Asian cup against decent, if not top ranked opposition, and surely must have some pride in their jersey.

Why this misplaced sense of optimism/expectancy from Wales today?
a) Azmoun joins Taremi which is an elite level strike force for a team being written off.
b) Wales have played probably the worst 45 mins I have seen so far, ignoring Qatar
c) Joe Allen isn't back and he needed to be
d) 1pm kick off, baking conditions. It will have been a factor when KSA beat Argentina at this time slot and suits Iran for whom many play in national league under similar temp conditions.
