Not sure what to expect from the Chelsea boys in this game, but I'm glad I've got them in place for the coming fixture run.

Liverpool don't have a DM, so there's always a chance they grab something. Chilwell seems to be one of their main attackers, basically plays as a forward. James hopefully on pens, set pieces, and also a baps magnet.

Rzd likes to change his set up, sometimes with two out and out strikers, and he got quite a bench.
Pedro offers something none of the other does, and was doing what Rzd wanted him to do, and he was good.
I wouldn't worry about him for now (should be good for both GW2 and 3)

    Concerned at Odegaard today.

They just were not playing through him.

He was deep a lot of the time and getting so frustrated off of the ball when he did go forward. Rice and Havertz need to just play small ones round the corner into his feet but are like crabs and seem to only go sideways.

I was generally concerned with Arsenal. They were slow and predictable.
Took a piece of magic from Martinelli and then one of those Saka moments to get the win.

Was interesting, just camping outside the edge of the area. Arsenal relying on bits of individual flair to cut through the mass of defenders.

Really really vulnerable on the counter as we saw a few times. I’d be surprised if he sticks with this system.

Two main corners after today are Watkins & Eze…still good pics and will score well, but is there better out there.

Only issue is Watkins is nailed and has better next two fixtures than Newcastle. Isak & Wilson will defo share game time evenly across the season (bar injury etc)

But yeah Diaby for Eze defo a consideration for me…

Never been fully convinced by Watkins but there was a lack of alternatives. Jackson didn't convince me in his last preseason game, I started to understand why he doesn't have the most prolific record.

EVE bur liv are decent games, so happy to hold for now By that time Jesus and Hojlund may be strong options. Maybe Isak.

Get both Diaby and Eze rotating them - that was my initial plan. But hearing Foden was starting meant I got him, instead of Diaby.

Stupid move in hindsight. There is no way Foden starts v Newcastle IMO. Now I am stuck hoping he will start v Sheff United in a few gamweeks.

Diaby looked great today, his partnership with Watkins v weaker sides will be lethal.

20% I would say - as Pep only likes Foden he games where the other team backs off.

He is bound to start Rodri and Kovacic and Grealish/Silva/Alavarez will be preferred in attack

Newcastle will be pressing all over the show it won't suit Foden.

That was the first in a row of 76 games where he started in the league I think the commentators said.

Was a strange new arsenal formation (similar to what City are doing) that wasn’t 100% convincing…so depends if Arteta pushes on with it.

Just catching up on MOTD and saw Brighton's penalty. As soon as I seen it I just knew the ref was going to be David Coote. Lo and behold... how is he still in a job? Comfortably the worst referee in the league.

Even less surprising was the incompetence of EPL VAR. I'm still convinced they're sabotaging it because they never wanted it in the first place.
