This evening we roll out the final part of our series of Projections articles for the season ahead. Having already assessed the Keepers, Defenders and the Midfielders, it’s finally time to start searching for value up front.

With the aid of our freshly Projections, we’ve analysed the average points expected per player over the course of the upcoming campaign and, applying this to the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player price list, have listed the top ten in terms of expected value per Fantasy pound for the season ahead…

          Yes he will start, but is likely to be playing deep in midfield. But if VDV get's injured, he'll be gold dust, playing in the hole and on all set-pieces.
          So he's a good option, just not as good when VDV is on the pitch.

    Last season, Mata was a huge huge differential for me, in my mini-leagues and over all as well I suppose. Not many teams had him in, which surprised me. I remember one game during the DGW he picked up 4 assists and 2 bonus points.

    If any +ve news arises, it's Lamps out and Mata in for me, no brainer.

    Anyone else very tempted to go with the Bale/Siggy combo? Because I see Siggy picking up where he left off, in terms of form, and I also am not scared of VDV rotation. Modric on the way out.

    I also like Lampard(c) for GW1, so the tricky part for me has been fitting those three mids in, plus Rooney/Aguero/Petric up front, and still cobbling together a non-laughable Def/GK situation. I am currently thinking Lescott plus four cheapies, two cheap GKs, and Noble plus a 4 or 4.5 to round out the Mids.

    Very silly, slightly silly, or sneaky smart?

      I agree with this. The problem is his price range. It's a horrible figure to try and fit in your team. It's too high for a budget option.

          Community Shield will confirm. But I'd say yes. Providing he's match fit, he'll start every match bar when he's rested before a big match imo. He's Chelsea's best player.

      I am starting to be of the mind that Aguero will kill it this season. Fixture proof captaincy option too - which Dempsey is not. So B)

      Personally if Dempsey stays I will be tempted to get him in too.

        Yes it's really hard decision. Scouts thinks Pog is greater value, but I can't ignore Petric amazing pre-season form and tasty early fixtures.

      Dempsey is streets ahead of Guthrie, Petric similar to Pog maybe a little ahead, Aguero and Tev also similar but most on here seem to think Aguero will get a lot more than Tevez. A for me but I'd expect the Aguero lovers to outvote me considerably.

        He's sort of just what Arsenal need. I don't think I'll have him in my team right away, but he could be an option if he's 8.5 - 9. Arsenal create a lot more chances than Malaga so those stats should rise. Mostly I'm excited because I think he'll release a lot of potential in the other forwards - Podolski and Walcott especially, will thrive off a nicely weighted through ball to run onto.

        Given they're very good at home and poor away then it'd be justifiable sometimes, both playing on occasion. I like the symmetry even if they're both playing.

            Dyer for 5.5 but since you already have him maybe Ireland although I'm not a big fan of his. Not many options apart from that. Only Beausejour and Pilkington come to mind.

            There was nine leagues of it last year when the Scout actually ran the H2H leagues. Can't see it changing anything.
