it's not really mad as Mbeumo is well worth having and so is Son if playing central.

Of course all 4 will score points.

I think he's returned an assist or a goal in the last 10 league matches in a row.

Something like 24 times all told over 21 games.

I guess that's what you are paying for, captain or not.

It hard. I dropped him GW3 for Foden and Archer to Isak

The Isak move has caught me cold but I may keep for now wevwill see

But Foden Saka Rashford Eze and Maddison all returned

If Son carrys on through the middle Maddison Son could be the new Kane Son relationship Also like Awoyini punt next week as well

Mbeumo and Mitoma is the one I regret more atm as there electric stars but Mitoma looks so much better but not on pens. So does Eze to be fair but that's not FPL

May take a -4 this ITB
I don't know who will go this week
          Pedro , Foden Isak?

How did you do this week AC/DC?

I dropped back by 41% according the Live FPL to 1.1 million.

It's early days and the 72 points this week were a lot worse than the 63 last week.

... over 10 times worse in fact! Funny old game.

72 points was a gw rank of 5.3 million so over half the game outscored you.

You gain rank with above 2.5m gw ranks consistently or by owning differential hauls or TC on Haaland this week.

You've got to take the 40 points off your score, so the other 10 guys got just 32 points between them.

    Turner (Onana)
    Andersen Saliba Udogie (Colwill Kabore)
    Maddison Bruno Saka Salah Diaby
    Haaland Wissa (Osula)

If no issues over the IB, thinking of doing for -4:

Onana, Osula, Salah ➡️ Leno, Alvarez, Szobo/Son/Bowen(etc.)

Look OK? Would rotate Wissa in and out (although tbh might just move on after GW6). Hitting out Onana feels a bit silly, but Leno does have a nice run starting with Luton next GW. Wary Turner may get dropped with the new keeper.

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)

*Could alternatively do Onana + Wissa to Leno and Alvarez and keep Salah another week or two, would have to do it tonight though

          • 5 Years
          2 years, 3 months ago

If I was to do this move then yeah, need the funds and despite Fulham's dreadful form, Leno is still proving ridiculously consistent. Palhinha will be back next GW too

    2. Wobbles

When you've got two frees, I don't think of the third transfer as -4. It's -4 for the package.

I own Onana and I don't think I'd want him as my only keeper, so if you think it's possible/likely Turner's going to get dropped, I'd go for it.

32 points from 10 players is not a lot no matter how you cut it dude. The reason it is as low as 72 is because of all the reasons you mentioned. A squad would only need (H)aaland, two 8 point returns and a team of two pointers to get that much. Say if you owned Rashford, Forden and Udogie that would be enough to get you there.

Based purely on the opposition. Burnley and Everton look like they are there for the taking. Alvarez becoming essential though imo, until KDB returns.

Which do you prefer the look of?

    A. Jota + Jackson > Son + Alvarez -4

    B. Jota + Martinelli > Son + Maddison -4

    C. Go without Son, and Jota > Maddison

Looks like something is up between ETH and Sancho. ETH said he wasn't selected in the squad as he didn't show the "level" required in training this week, Sancho says he's being made a "scapegoat"

People saying it's ETH usual tactics.

The player being criticised but he wanted to make his case.

Odegaard > Son for free? No other Arsenal assets.

Maybe, hard to say without knowing your other mids. Ode is making returns and I think was 2nd top mid scorer last year. But seems like the kind of season where you need to sell good players often. So many midfield options. Son as a CF is must have though.

Who’s the better pick going forward Rashford or Bruno?

A week ago everyone was saying Bruno now changing their tune.

I only saw the second half but Bruno still looked OK, created a chance for Martial and I think one for Rashford from an angle that went wide/ was blocked. He was only on the pitch a short while but Højlund looked like he'll have the effect I expected where he'll link up well with Bruno and Rashford in particular and result in them doing better

Currently midfield on a wildcard is..

Foden, rashford, saka, maddison , mbembo

Bizarrely I'm thinking my weakest link is foden so should he be the one out for son ?

      I'm wildcarding also.
      I'm leaving Foden out.

    1FT, 1.3 ITB, thoughts?

    Flekken - Turner
    Dias - Chilwell - Estupinan - Udogie - Kabore
    Rashford - Saka - Fernandes - Maddison - Mbuemo
    Haaland - Jackson - Archer

    A: Jackson to Alvarez
    B: Rashford to Son
    C: Saka to Son
    D: Fernandes to Son
    E: other?

Did I sell Rashford, Maddison, Wilson and Nuñez on my GW3 wildcard?

      Yes I did.

Did I bench Ødegaard this week?

      Yes I did.

      Do I own Haaland?

      No I don’t.

A whole lot of rough, no smooth in GW4.

Bad: Didn't captain Haaland, feel like I wasted a transfer on Pedro to Wissa as I may just get rid

Good: Maddison, Salah, Turner over Onana. Rolled FT!

I should have done this last week when it was a lot smoother.

Rough Rashford, Sterling and most of the rest of them.

Smooth Mbeumo, Salah and some big bloke up front.

Just watching Alvarez haul while Jackson spluttered and lost top spot on mini-league was rough

Mbeumo replacing Ødegaard just about worked and generally smoothish

Rough: Sold Salah (8) for Sterling (2).
Smooth: Haaland (C), Mbeumo, Mitoma, Awoniyi.
Saka and Ederson were the only others to score more than 2.
      Small red arrow.

Smooth: Decided against using 2FTs to bring in Sterling (2pts), bringing in Alvarez (14pts) instead, saving the other transfer

Rough: FFS mods banned me twice for the same BS thing and FFS Support is no help as usual.

Smooth... Didn't sell Sonny!! Wanted Pedro out and Jackson plus Sterling or Maddison in. Only way I could make it work was to sell a 9.0m mid. Had an inkling Son would come in this week after the Carabao display, so sold Rashford. Other bonus was Rashford was close to dropping which he did. So for the first time ever I had two hat-tricks with one captained! The double transfer was an utter fail though and with so much player movement I wildcarded Saturday night to tidy things up. 80 points with Odegaard and Saka the only other points of note.

Rough... Back to back 0 pointers from Onana. He's gone on wildcard. Gvardiol benched. He's gone too.

Someone in my family league triple captained Haaland.
When I congratulated him, he replied that he didn't realise he'd triple captained him till he saw his points - he must have pressed the option without realising!

A young lad in my mini league had all three hat-tricks plus Salah and Allison. It added up to a 105-point haul so hats off; but then again he’s still ranked at ~4 million.

      65 points. 3.7m OR. 599 HOS.

Rough: Team is a mess, no clean sheets again, Pickers OG, -4 for Sterling blank, Archer haul on bench.

Smooth: Still can use wildcard after IB to sort this mess out. NFL fantasy starts this week which I'm normally better at. Man U fans moping about at work after we beat them yesterday 🙂 always brightens up a Monday morning.

Fab week. 92 points and all 7 of my attackers returned as well with a special mention to Alvarez as my biggest differential.

I have no Chelsea and no United assets and none of them hurt me too bad except for Rashford's 7.
