"It’s been a slow day, but I come to you late with good news — James Maddison’s knee is fine and it’s quite likely he will be fit to face Liverpool this weekend. According to Tom Allnutt in the Times, scans on Maddison’s injured knee came back positive and he should play vs Reds"

Best replacement for Chilwell (Gusto will have to wait!)? 5.5m only to spend.

[Current backline = Chilwell, Botman, Estu, Gusto, Udogie]

    a) White / Saliba
    b) Schar / Burn
    c) Cash / Digne
    d) Reguilon!?

If you are in WC then B since Arsenal fixtures are getting worse and Saka injury doubt, ideally you wanna fit Trippier in somehow. But I would wait to WC since it is close, just monitor Saka and you are probably gtg for this week.

Would you WC this, or tidy up things with 2 FTs....

    Flekken, Turner
    Saliba, Estu, Udogie, Tark, Gusto
    Salah, Sterling, Rashford, Eze, Nakamba
    Alvarez, Watkins, Haaland

Ideally, I'd like to bring in Son, Bowen and a Newcastle defender

Wouldn’t WC, it’s largely a good team. How much itb? Eze to Bowen? Then maybe Rash to Son next week.

I know Newcastle defenders are good but so is your current back line and wouldn’t be in a rush to sell (unless Gusto to Botman in which case you’ll have 5 good defenders)

To get to that you’d probably need -8, so if you want them you’d need to WC.

Eze, Rashford, Sterling and Gusto all need shipping out, imo. I also get the feeling Álvarez is a transfer out waiting to happen.

    Thoughts on this w/c team:

    Areola (Turner)
    Botman Trippier Burn (Evans, Udogie)
    Son Saka Maddison Mitoma Bowen
    Haaland Alvarez (Darwin)

I know it's a benching headache, but I don't really want to pay 12.5 for Salah when I feel there are cheaper options that will score just as much. Feel like Darwin is good cover and there will be some rotation with Arsenal, Brighton, West Ham, Man City and Liverpool. Am I crazy?!?!

    1. Babit1967
      • 9 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

Looks great mate, here is mine with Salah, benching headache as well, but great to have options

      Areola Turner
      Cash Botman Burn Udogie Kabore
      Salah Son Maddison JWP Longstaff
      Haaland Alvarez Darwin

Also allows 0.7 itb for future moves

Triple Newcastle defence is very brave! Is Evans nailed? I’m not sure Turner is nailed either. Otherwise, if you can stand the bench points and Darwin rotation then it looks great

      1. jbenny1107
        • 11 Years
        2 years, 2 months ago

I know. Trying to make up 30ish points on my ML leaders and they all have some Newcastle defensive coverage so thought I might as well go big. None of them played today too which is a good sign.

I think Evans brings some consistency to their defense, but agree he could be a risk.

Turner could definitely be a risk, but think I will go with Areola every game anyways. Seems up for it overall with saves.

Chilwell went off injured, if that helps.

Well it seems FPL are fine with handing out monthly prizes to bot teams from Indonesia so what's the point (if ever there was one) of trying to win this thing? I don't mind losing to legit managers.

With Estupinan and Gvardiol playing tonight and Saliba not in Arsenal squad which of them would you start this weekend (alongside Trippier Kabore)?

    A Saliba
    B Estupinan
    C Gvardiol

    What’s the best option?
    A) Gusto to Kabore
    B) Saka to Bowen/Gordon
    C) Saka & Rashford to Salah & Gordon/JWP (-4)
    D) Gusto & Saka to Trippier & Bowen/Gordon (-4)

    Henry to whom?

    A. Cash
    B. Digne
    C. Burn

B or C means I can do Odegaard > Son next week without needing to do Ederson > Leno (-4) too.

    Areola
    Estu, Botman, Udogie
    Salah, Odegaard, Maddison, Mbeumo, Mitoma
    Haaland, Alvarez

    (Ederson, Semenyo, Henry*, Gusto*)
