Tough decision what to do with Tripp on a WC, fixtures are not obvious, price is high, the question is for how long he will be able to keep up these attacking returns, for sure the extra 1.5/2mil you pay for him would be useful somewhere else...

    1. Kaptenen

I am leaning to leaving him out on wc. Want Salah, Haaland & Son so the extra funds from picking Burn/Schär instead comes in very handy to create a overall stronger team

Arsenal 01/02 had 3 different players who took penalties. 04/05 they had 4 different penalty takers, 06/07 they had 4 different takers again. If they aren't being missed then I don't see the issue. Yes I would have liked Saka to have gotten a hattrick in FPL but Arsene Wenger won plenty in his time.

Really? No one cares, except those FPL managers who feel like they are entitled to something they really aren't. Because of comments like this one, I kind of wish that Saka took both and missed them. Then you would actually have a reason to complain and cry, unlike now.

lo it all boils back to FPL with you guys doesnt it? i coldnt give a monkeys. has nothing to do with it. let raya take them for all i care but stick with one taker. im saying from the perspective of a fan whose watched football for a long time it points to a flimsiness in their mindset. 3 different penalty takers when the game isnt even done is laughable. thats something you wouldnt even do in a pre season friendly.

In isolation they are all good penalty takers. (Havertz has 17/18 record I believe)

Ability to switch between them speaks to team togetherness (no one is bigger than the team), and also makes it even harder for the opposition GK to second guess.

As an Arsenal fan I'm all for it

Have you ever considered that there might be a reason for having more than one taker? Like a tactical reason, maybe?

Man City had 4 different penalty takers last year when they won the treble. I guess they must be bottlers too.

      GTG?

      Areola
      Cash - Burn - Branthwaite
      Salah - Son - Maddison - Bowen
      Haaland - Watkins - Hojlund

      3.9 - Chukwuemeka - Gabriel - Taylor

Looks decent, but a bit imbalanced imo. I'd want to strengthen bench slightly and upgrade Branthwaite to a 4.5. Maybe Hojlund > a 4.5/5.5 to strengthen elsewhere?

WC this or save it? Can't upgrade Morris and want Baldock out. Unsure about Botman too

      Leno - Areola

      Botman - Estup - Porro - Cash - Baldock

      Diaby - Saka - Bruno - Maddison - Salah

      Archer - Morris - Haaland

Any thoughts welcome and appreciated. Cheers

Yeah, have been considering that. Part of me wants to keep Bruno as although United are rubbish, he is always involved. I expect them to improve at some point and I usually don't like having two attackers from the same team. That's my thinking anyway. I suppose Bruno could always be transferred back in if/when United do improve.

      My FPL side effort 2.
With Salah coming in we all have to limit our choices. In particular, Trippier. Below allows me to keep 1.4 ITB for inevitable future moves like returning to Saka. My big concern is the choice to get Watkins and sacrifice a mid. I wish I could get to Neto. What are you guys doing?

I’m currently conflicted over Darwin v Watkins - choose your poison!

Darwin cheaper but probably no game after the international break.

I like it but I think I'd want Watkins with his up coming fixtures. Mine is similar ish:

        Leno Areola
        Burn Udogie Cash (Taylor Kabore)
        Salah Son Maddison Diaby JWP
        Haaland Watkins (Archer)

Just concerned about my bench. Could downgrade Leno back to Turner to free up 0.7

I think that bench is fine tbh. All I want from bench players is that they play regularly. No one in your team is currently a rotation risk, and if an injury occurs that's what the FT is for

I am giving good value in Alvarez and if I wanted to go back it would cost me .3.
