OK. From 1.1M to 650K. GWR 271K. Huge gains considering I played this GW with 10 men (no GK). Saka & Salah blank was so painful considering they're two I thought would return. If (and he should) Solanke loses his points, even better week for me with a 42% green arrow.

Eyes move to GW18. 2FTs, 3.1M ITB. What steps do we take?

    Areola
    Porro, Tsimi, Lascells
Salah (c), Saka, Bowen, Gordon, Palmer
    Watkins, Semenyo

    Kelleher, Gabriel, Gusto, Haaland*

    A) Lascelles > Trippier
    B) Gusto > Trippier
    C) Semenyo > Solanke
    D) Kelleher & Gusto/Lascelles > Fabianski & Trippier
    E) Kelleher & Gusto/Lascelles > Dubravka & Trippier
    F) Other?

This is definitely the option I'm most leaning towards, especially as Gusto picked up a minute at the end this GW. He has some lovely fixtures to target between now and GW25. I feel Trippier is a must and having a front 8 causes a headache so happy to stick with the front 7.

So they are obviously waiting on official confirmation of the game being replaced and not agreed that it will be a draw ( both options are on the table going by the rules available to them).

If they were giving the points they would just close it now I assume and job done.

I think you can all rightfully kiss them Solanke points goodbye. Anyone got any alternative view on what's going to happen. We haven't really had much of a debate about it so I think it's a good time to now .... Discuss

They have been horrendous. I get that there are more things important in life considering the reason but all it needed was a tweet or a line on their web page. They have had 17 years to come up with a rule for things like this

I think they've done everything they can to be honest?

The minutes automatically tick over. So a formula is set, game starts at X add a minute until Y unless it's annotated they were substituted.

They waited to see if PL made an announcement, they didn't so now they've informed us all at the conclusion of the GW (effectively).

What did you want, yesterday for them to tweet "no effing clue what to do here until the big wigs at PL decide so chill until we find out more info". Really wouldn't have changed anything. The press and chatter around the game has probably exploded in the last 24 hours because of this too.

It's not off the table whilst there is a rule allowing it

Fwiw the last game called off was in 2006 Watford Vs Wigan. It was a draw at the time when rain stopped play. The FA made them replay it. For the draw to happen all teams and the Prem would have to agree

I think Bou would fancy their chances at home tbh and will not want to give up points Vs one of the ' easier ' teams

      You've nailed it.

Either some boardmemberered-comitee-suited-fellas declare it a draw and the clubs accept it within the next few days, and we got a Solanke 9-pointer.

Or it will be a confirmed rematch due to the match being abandoned also decided by above mentioned fellas and all points are removed and Bou - Lut was never a fixture in GW17.

I actually like that FPL keeps it open. Shows they want to do it right and not go by option 3 = 'new rule' where a player can have 39 fixtures and get rewarded for something that PL do not recognize in the real life table, points, golden boot and so on.

    1) Start Darwin or Taylor this week, get Haaland next week

Tempted by 2) and one of Richarilson, Tripp or TAA?

Sorry for repost, who to downgrade to free up 0.5 for Alvarez => Watkins:
    a) Tsimi => Braithwaite
    b) Udogie => Braithwaite
    c) Hwang => McTominay

Don't have any other pool or spurs at the back so thinking c) is the way to go

We've seen Tsimi rotated multiple times now, including today by the time GW20 arrives he will have played five times (in 15 days) if not rotated. Included in those fixtures are a vibrant West Ham in a knock-out tie, Arsenal (title challengers) and a Newcastle who need Top 4 for Europe again (granted they're awful on the road).

Hwang is clear of McTominay and Udogie, whilst suspended for GW18 has a poor Brighton followed by Bournemouth at home. So for me, I'd lose Tsimi, but only just over Udogie. Only reason I'm not losing him is because I'd have no idea who I'd want to bring in for him! (Maybe Trippier) but then I block Dubravka because I'd have triple NEW.

Is Moreno gonna be a regular starter for Villa now? Gotta be in the conversation if he is. Got to get rid of Guehi…

No idea. He's been fit for a while and hasn't been playing because Digne has done so well.

Moreno was at fault for the goal today, but he also made a last ditch challenge to stop another, and also scored himself, so he's had a good game overall.

I had been looking at Digne before this week, but it looks like both he and Moreno are an avoid for now.

I have Solanke first on my bench and Cash second on my bench.

Will I get 6 or 2 points for Haaland?

Sorry to ask as should already know but which game-week do AFCON players miss? Guess everyone will want 2 free transfers when City play Sheffield to transfer out Salah and bring back Haaland.

Miss from gw21 right through to gw25. Depending on how long they stay in the comps

So week 20 transfer out Salah for Newcastle at home for Haaland (as part of 2 transfers) seems sensible.

I would KEEP Salah vs Newcastle at home, their away form is woeful.

That would mean not having Haaland against Sheffield at home though.

      From GW21

I'm not planning on spreading haaland by getting TAA or trippier. Happy to get Pau torres next week & keep Salah for GW20

      Tripper can wait until later

Villa can potentially be top of the league in the next GW if they beat SHU and Arsenal-Pool ends up a draw. Great work from Unai to take this talented squad to the next level.

Yes indeed. And then they'll have to withstand the pressure of City's relentless winning run still to come.

City don't look like they are up for it. They feel too dependent on Rodri and are missing likes of Gundo and Mahrez who used to bail them out. Wouldn't rule it out from happening but as a change of pace it would be nice to have a new EPL winner.

Personally I think City’s demise is twofold. They are definitely missing a few stand out players who are either injured or left the club like Gundo and KDB. But I think the main contributing factor is most likely their drive. Once you have completed the treble I would imagine it is very hard to be as determined and driven to achieve when you have just achieved everything already.

Selling Gundogan was a massive mistake, he would turn up in difficult periods and run ins.

            He was also a leader.

Completely agree re a new winner. Villa would be one for the books, not quite Leicester but still a mini miracle

Spurs completely bottled it that Leicester year. They might have a while to wait yet for a better chance.

To be fair, Spurs open their legs and invite takers to have a go. I cant see that changing anytime soon unfortunately. Depth of squad, defensive hari-kari is still an issue. I remember my old mate Bob bemoaning at St James' Park when they came 3rd in a 2 horse race for the title in 2016.

Just shows how bad Gerrard was as a manager as the team under Emery is not that different to when Gerrard was in charge.

I might not be paying attention on the night the prices do change. Would rather do it tonight and get it done with. Villa aren't in the league Cup, so there's just the risk of a training injury, which is fine.

Don't think either changes in price. No rush

Only small risk is watkins injury in training. But random events can happen
No one expectex haaland to be out last week & well you've seen events of this week
