Having added statistical maps to our Match Dashboard a week or so ago, we’ve now brought these new aids into the Player Profiles and, more importantly perhaps, the Stats Comparison Tool.

Our Members can now compare two players head-to-head and get both a statistical view and a graphical view of a players performance. Our new maps allow you to plot stats such as Shots, Chances Created, Crosses, Dribbles, Passes and an array of defensive stats. These can, of course, be filtered by a range of Gameweeks or matches and by home and away fixtures.

The next step is to add a heatmap that will plot a player’s touches on the pitch. We’ll be bringing that to you very soon.

The movie below offers a walkthrough of these new features, running a comparison between Sunderland’s Stephane Sessegnon and James McClean’s over their last six matches.

Memberships are still available for £12.50 up until the first weekend of the season. Click here for details on how to register or upgrade your account and for all our preview movies so far.

Second one but its a tight call. The second one wins it because they are in alphabetical and their home jersey is white.

Haha. I don't know, gut feeling.
Whenever someone's on fire like that and is overused soon after they get injured.

Congrats on getting Sociedad, btw. Let me know how Carlos Vela plays.

    A) Pogrebnyak/Michu/Baines
    B) Tevez/Noble/Cuellar

B would give a front line of Rooney/Aguero/Tevez

i agree that keeping the wildcard is the best strategy.....but it is also seems good strategy to get off to a quick start and gain a bit of value that you can use later. i have a feeling that price increases will be ridiculous after the first gameweek and it could be a great chance to cash in on them.

4.5m mids are no good to rotate, they are for rotting on the bench.

I'd downgrade DDG, Vidic or Yaya and spread the funds. McCartney, Fonte, El AHmedi and Pog are all weak picks, I'd look to upgrade at least 2 of them.

Be wary of Dempsey to start the season, better to wait for the transfer window to shut and get GW4 if he's still at Fulham.

Here's the lowdown from that big cuddly, growly bear Martin Jol:

    - The team that plays tomorrow will more or less be the one that plays against Norwich barring any international injuries in midweek
    - Aaron Hughes has an ankle injury. Is apparently a quick healer usually but definitely out of the game tomorrow, big Mart hopes he'll return to training on Wednesday/Thursday so hopefully will be fit for Norwich we shall see. (if he's not I'd expect Baird to start, although i hear Reither can play across the back 4 so he's an outside punt in which case kelly would be RB)
    - Talked up Petric and said he's even better than he remembers him, also pointed out that he's retired from internationals so no worries there
    - Hugo has picked up another knock but may play a part tomorrow, either way he isn't fully fit so Petric sound very nailed on for now
    - Talked up Ruiz but said he won't be back from international duty until Friday so therefore could be a doubt for GW1
    - No mention of Clint but hasn't featured in any friendlies so I'm assuming he can't be match fit, will be very interesting to see if he features tomorrow
    - Got pretty angry about having international friendlies 3 days before the season

Reckon our GW1 line-up will be: Schwarzer; Reither, Brede, Hughes/Baird, Riise; Diarra, Dembele; Duff, Ruiz, Kacaniklic; Petric (assuming Ruiz has recovered and Dempsey doesn't start tomorrow)

Only seen highlights from the friendlies so would be silly to say but I certainly hope so! Not sure whether to have him as I already have Hughes/Kaca, if I have to lose Hughes then I'll defo get him in

Roll on Norwich with Brede and Petric in my team.

Still no word on who club captain will be? I notice Brede has been captaining the team in friendlies and seem to have the armband last season when I certain someone, who shall remain nameless, didn't play.

Would be very surprised if it was anyone but Brede, yet to be confirmed but can't see it being anyone else unless we give it to Dempsey in a desperate hope it'll convince him to stay. Hughes is the other main contender but Brede has had the band when they've both played in friendlies so assuming big Brede is top dog

Diarra will 100% start, looked so classy when he was playing towards the end of last season. Could see why Real paid 23 million for him, he has had big injury problems before joining us though so may get subbed/rotated with Sidwell a fair bit as the season progresses.

Like Duff but fantasy wise there's better options in that price bracket

    Hi guys.

Played around without having Rooney and Aguero upfront, but have now decided against this!

    What do you think?

    de Gea - Federici
    Ivanovic - Tierney - Fabio - Williams - Cueller
    Noble - Ireland - Hazard - Dyer - Bale
    Cisse D - Aguero - Rooney

Hazard could be Lampard, but you get the idea.

        Milanista

        For GW1

VdV and Torres with the standard Torres - Rooney move GW2 or

        or

Mata/Hazard and Rooney with 1 Chelsea mod becoming VdV for GW2.

I have Saylor in defence if that makes a difference

I think the first one simply because Torres is more guaranteed of game time assuming Chelsea haven't signed a striker by the time GW1 comes.

Currently have Friedel and Fed in goal, I'm thinking of downgrading Friedel to Mignolet.

Last season, Spurs kept 14 CS, Sunderland got 12 despite playing a third of the season with Bruce in charge. Spurs have great fixtures but are also meant to be after a keeper and I wouldn't want to waste a transfer early on if Friedel gets dropped.

Looking at Sunderland's fixtures they are pretty good. Would be comfortable playing Mignolet in all but GW1 and 7 up to GW15. Also have Cuellar but I'm happy to double.

    So, switch to Mignolet?

if you are comfortbale with it yes, Migs is great keeper. Fed's fixture in GW7 is not great, but if you want cover GW1, you're only other option is Green and DGW swings it in Fed's favour

Right, I will build the next Rorke's Drift on a budget even if it's the last thing I do!

Federici Davis - cheap keepers. That's my policy.
Cole - DGW. Place holder for someone like Vidic or Baines.
Fabio and Williams - awesome rotation. Doubts over Swansea but sensational fixtures and as long as Naylor, Vorm, Rangel and Williams remain, then they should be able to muster a cleanie or two.
Collo and Cuellar - like Jack and Jill, Bill and Ben, Ken and Deidre, Cannon and Ball. Doubts over Newcastle with Europa but let's hope, hope they can offer some decent value.

I do like Fabio in all fairness as a United I kinda have too, but he will be essentially a wing-back given how much he likes to get forward

QPR/Swans rotate for 34 out of 38 weeks, which isn't bad, but their first 6 fixtures don't fill me with confidence. Am looking at a potential Hangeland to Fabio/ShawX switch around then, provided I have nothing more pressing

Green & Jussi rotate better. My defence is very similar to Corrigans, except i've been a little more stingy.

        Terry/Ivan (Coloccini Cuellar) (Boyce Gunter)

I looked at Federici/Davis, not keen on the combo. The 2 rotating combos in defence are very solid.

I have a similar rotation strategy, but have Hangeland/Boyce instead of Collocini/Cuellar

    Team at the min

    Friedel – Frederici
    Cole – Demel – Terry (Cuellar,Fonte)
Bale – Guthrie – Noble – Michu (Maloney)
    Rooney – Torres – Aguero

firstly yes i no my midfield is shite, gonna give it a few weeks to see whos playing where then i can downgread Torres

Rooney and Aguero look like season keepers at the min

Best mid for 6.5? would like Michu but is he to much a risk with my already shit mid? maybe Pienaar/Larsson

Plans are after GW1 Terry out Vidic in
after GW2 Ivanovic out Lescott in and likely Torres out Tot Striker in

    any views? cheers

    Also which looks better?
    A)Williams,Yaya,Graham
    B)Torres,Malonry,Fonte

    Yaya + Aguero

    or

    Tevez + Silva?

    Cheers! 🙂
