    1. Why the he'll is everything canter formatted now?!
    2. Does anyone have a link to the conversation on here from, a couple of years ago maybe, where there was a great discussion on you cant really be who you want to be even if you really try to, despite what people say?. I was thinking about it recently and wished I could remember the good cases put forward for and against. Thanks folks.

Defending a 6-point lead. Best move given the context below? First to 3 wins.

    A) Gordon ➔ Olise (start over Isak)
    B) Petrović ➔ Raya (matches double Arsenal defense) (start Isak)

    Cheers!

    - My team: Petrović + Gvardiol + Havertz + 1 FT (single Arsenal defense)

    - Opponent's team: Ederson* + White + Johnson + 1 FT (double Arsenal defense)
    - Opponent's likely move:

    1. Gordon ➔ Havertz (start Petrović) or
    2. Ederson ➔ Ortega

Apologies for the repost kept messing up the format. For what it's worth, here's what ChatGPT had to say:

Option 1: Petrovic ➔ Raya (Arsenal goalkeeper)
      Raya: 4.1 points
Isak: 4.5 points (Newcastle vs. Brentford has potential for attacking returns)
      Total: 8.6 points

      Option 2: Gordon ➔ Olise
      Olise: 5.0 points
Petrovic: 3.2 points (Chelsea vs. Bournemouth might not be as defensively solid)
      Total: 8.2 points

Result: Raya + Isak (8.6 points) slightly edges Olise + Petrovic (8.2 points).

      Differential Consideration:
      - By bringing in Olise, you counter your opponent's potential move for a differential player, mitigating their advantage.

      Fixture and Form:
      - Both Raya and Olise have favorable fixtures, but Raya and Isak together provide a higher predicted points total.

      Recommendation:
      - Based on the predicted points and strategic considerations, the optimal move would be to transfer in Raya. This move not only provides the highest predicted points but also leverages the strong defensive form of Arsenal and the attacking potential of Isak. This setup optimizes your team's potential for Gameweek 38 while maintaining a strategic edge over your opponent.

I go Salah here for sure.

I'd go Salah if I had 2 FTs. But with a slim ML league very hard to justify a hit.

Slight doubt is Salah worth 2FTs when the 2nd transfer in Muniz will be on the bench

I don't think a bench will matter this week. But with 3.6m ITB, you can also go Chris Wood who is maybe slightly better as bench cover than Muniz.

Agreed, most template picks have something to play for. I just meant I would have preferred the 2nd transfer to be starting rather than downgrade to the bench.

0.1m short on Chris Wood, 4.6m max for FWD replacement.

    Morning all,

Has a bit of a disaster since GW 34 where I dropped from 59k to 178k. Basically messed up a 50/50 on schar or gvardiol and backed against Haaland with C the last couple of weeks.

Got 2 FT’s and a ton of cash. Thinking of ditching Gordon & Bowen (my 2 week punt that didn’t come off) for Eze & Salah (c).

    Team would be;

    Flekken

    Romero, Gabriel, Saliba

Eze, Salah (c), son, palmer, foden

    Haaland, Isaak

    Neto, muniz, Williams, schar

Can wait till Sunday to make transfers but will be hungover post stag do on a train so won’t be on deadline streams.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers and good luck.

    FH GTG?

    Raya
    PP / Gvard / White
    Havertz / Palmer / Foden / Son / Salah
    Haaland (c) / Mateta

Defending a 50pt lead so not worried about being caught. Trying to get +13 for monthly prize. Got some differentials to those around me.

Looking about players motivation to play well /score in GW38:

Are there any players trying to break into their countries first team for the Euros i.e. want to impress the country manager and their club team has something to play for?
Any players need 1 or 2 more goals or assists to break some personal or club or other record?
Any players looking to impress to make a club move for big money?
Is there a player that fits all those criteria?

On the flip side, any players guaranteed to be in first country team, but want to avoid injury so won't play 100% if their GW38 team has nothing to play for? i.e. avoid bringing in or bench them.

Not really anything to discuss - 99% of the league have nothing to play for and no manager is basing EURO squad selection or big money transfers off a single performance in a random final day dead rubber game.

    1FT 7.6 ITB

    Raya (Onana)
    Porro Gusto Gvardiol (Romero Burn)
    Gordon Palmer Foden Son (Garnacho)
    Isak Jackson Haaland

Is Gordon to Salah the obvious move here?

Trying to protect a top 50 OR and not sure how risky to go, would you captain Salah if you had him?

    Gabriel Doughty Porro
    Foden Son Palmer KDB Garnacho
    Isak Haaland (c)
    Areola Wilson Reguilon Livramento

    0.4 itb 1ft

Fully appreciate KDB might play, if I get confirmation that he does, then I'll obviously keep him

    1. KDB (if out) and Wilson to Saka and Mateta for -4
    2. Garncho and Wilson to Johnson and Mateta for -4, bench Isak and play 352
    3. Garnacho and Wilson to Havertz and Mateta for -4
    4. KDB (if out) and Garnacho to Havertz and Olisie/Eze for -4 and play 352

1 FT with this BUS team.

    Petrovic (Onana)
    Gabriel - Gvardiol - Porro
    Saka - Foden - Son - Palmer - Bruno F
    Haaland (c) - Isak
    Bench : Hojlund, Gusto, Burn

    A : Bruno F > Havertz
    B : Bruno F + Hojlund > Salah + Muniz (-4)

Does the -4 hits look unnecessary? I'm tempted to start Muniz vs Luton (A) instead of Isak vs BRE (A) if doing B.

If chasing then not sure KDB (C) is a good idea because if he hauls it likely means haaland does too. So maybe Salah (c) but just be aware that there's probably an 80% chance of it going wrong. But at least you'd have had a go

Playing catch up in my mini league and looking for a couple of differential transfers, any help would be great, only have one free transfer but willing to take 2 hits if need be, options are as follows:
    A. Salah, Ortega & Mateta in for Ederson, Gordon & Isak (-8), would also mean playing Dalot
    B. Salah, Olise & Munoz in for Son, Gordon & Dalot (-8)
    C. TAA & Elliot in for Dalot & Gordon (-4)

    Current squad
    Ederson, Petrovic
    White, Porro, Dalot, (Branthwaite, Livramento)
    Havertz, Foden, Palmer, Son (Gordon)
    Jackson, Haaland, Isak

    porro white gabriel
    Foden son palmer havertz
    Haaland isak jackson

    Subs ederson*, Gordon*, Braithwaite burn

    1ft, 1.1 itb

    A. Ederson to someone
    B. Gordon to someone like olise and bench isak
    C. Keep as is

Going to bench boost this week.
maguire and Bruno/havertz to son and Braithwaite for -4?

    Which scores most points?

    1) Bruno > Saka
    2) Bruno/Onana > Saka/Raya (-4)
    3) Bruno/Burn > Havertz/White (-4)

After WC has no Arsenal. Leading ML by 30 points.

Leading my ML with a slim 12 pts.

Only difference in our starting 11 is my Onana vs his Petrovic.

    A) Defensive: Get Petrovic to block him?
    B) Offensive: Gordon -> Havertz / Olise ?

      B. He'll probably make a similar move and you'd be fuming if he beats you because of that

    1) Petrovic, Jackson, Foden, Romero +15 points
    2) Raya, Jackson, Porro, De Bruyne +15 points
    3) Petrovic, Porro, De Bruyne, Cucurella

I'm number 3. The above 4 players are the difference between our 3 teams before we use our 1 FT. They are both 15 points ahead of me.

Very low chance to win from here but what do you think it my best chance? KDB to Salah & cap? I assume they will both cap Haaland so IF city is low scoring it could work.

I'd be tempted with the Salah (c) option for sure. I'm tempted to do this (or Son) myself to catch up a similar amount for manager of the month in mine

      Salah or Son cap.
And hope for a Chelsea CS!

Thoughts on this GW38 punt? 1FT, 0.8 ITB.

Gordon + Ait Nouri -> Luis Diaz + Quansah (-4)?

    Onana Petrovic
Pedro Porro Gabriel Gvardiol Ait-Nouri Gusto
    Son B.Fernandes Foden Gordon Palmer
    Haaland Isak Solanke

    Hi there, so many options....

    2 FT / 4.4 itb

    Petrovic
    Gvardiol, Gabriel, Porro
    Foden, Son, Palmer, Gordon
    Isak, Haaland, Jackson

    (Dubravka, Garnacho, Dalot, Brainthwaite)

    A) Gordon & Isak -> Salah & Mateta
    B) Gordon & Garnacho -> Havertz/Saka & Olise
    C) Gordon & Petrovic -> Havertz/Saka & Raya
    D) other suggestions...?

    Thanks!
