    @Knights Templar, arise dear fellow.

Thanks for swaying me to the Haaland v Mo Wildcard. Here's my Haaland team and yeah, Kinda happy with it.

    Hendo
    Gvard. Trent. Maz.
    Son. Odegard. Eze. Doku
    Haaland. Pedro. Isak.

Objections? Bar Trent only pool player

Pedro risky minutes. Prefer A. Armstrong at 5.5

Son looked horrendous last game. Would go Saka or Palmer on WC

Odegaard down to Jota. Or odegaard and Pedro to Havertz and a 5.5 mid + .5 looks better to me as an Arsenal fan

Surprise Sepp is being considered as 5th defender, he will start only when they play 3 at back. More of a next year(or late season at best) project when Pinnock will start getting benched.

Why have you ruled out him starting head of Collins

      1. Holmes
        • 12 Years
        1 year, 3 months ago

Collins is first choice defender and have been playing well since 2nd half of last season. If Sepp was signed in winter window, there was a possibility of instant start but cant see him starting except due to injury and back 3.

        1. Tonyawesome69
          • 6 Years

Did he play well? IIRC he made a several mistakes last season.

      2. Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo
        • 5 Years
        1 year, 3 months ago

Collins is the main man at the back now. He was signed to replace Mee and that process is virtually complete.
vdB is the Pinnock replacement, so that will happen gradually over the next 2 years as Holmes says. The fact Brentford were linked with O'Shea tells you exactly the profile, someone rapid, someone fit, and someone with the ability to play all across the back 4.

vdB may well get starts at RB despite Roerslev's progress over the past year (most improved player last year) and there is the possibility of games with 3 at the back... but ultimately vdB has been bought to partner Collins, from next season onwards.

can see the logic doing it now. no one for city looked rusty against chelsea, pressing was as intense as ive seen from them, the other argument is further into the season they get tired. now could be the time especially with no potential doubles this season

Sure, you can also argue everyone is sharp and match fit later in the season.

I have no issues with folks TC Haaland this GW, just prefer to wait for another opportunity.

Really seems like a perfect storm to play it, just the mental block of not getting a good return so early in the year and then having used the chip is what's holding me back.

        1. ritzyd
          • 8 Years
          1 year, 3 months ago

Best case TC is maybe 25 pts, more likely 10-15pts, even if he gets a 1pt'er there's plenty of time to make that back, failed chips are really not the end of the world. IPS Vs LIV: 6 big chances conceded, 19 goals attempts conceded (12 in box), 2.65xG conceded, the idea of having maybe 175%-200% EO on Haaland over the field also very appealing so I'll be taking that gamble now.

Thanks. That's what I am leaning towards but it feels wrong to have gone with ESR in the squad and not play him in the LEI home fixture 🙂 ...but I guess it makes sense.

Beast 4.5 def apart from Robinson?. Thinking Konsa but feels the wrong week to be bringing him in against the aris.

Agree with Konsa for gwk3 .
Quite a lot of choices all with a bit of risk of rotation save one is Burn

I’m on Lewis but it’s risky. Dunk might be best if you can rotate. Or Davis if you don’t need to play him this week

Thanks guys, was leaning towards Hall or Burn, and even Livra for a more punty pick of reports that Tripper wants out are true.

My WC after my GW 1 BB 88pts

    Pope, 4.0
TAA, Lewis, Robinson, Grieves, H. Bellis
Saka, Foden, Jota, Eze, brerenten Diaz
    Haaland, Havertz, 4.5

Light in defense. If Lewis gets dropped I am comfortable with the 4.0 defenders coming in with the fixtures.

Foden and 4.5 forward to Rogers and Watkins on the cards in the next 2 weeks as an option.

Captain was on Isak. No Salah or Saka on the BB.

        Winners: Havertz, Pope, Raya, Mbeumo

        Losers: Son, Solanke, Murphy

    Pickford
    TAA, Porro, Robinson
    Palmer, Saka, Foden, Jota, ESR
    Watkins, Isak

    Muñoz, Johnson, 4.5

    GTG? Who to captain?

Foden or Palmer. Palmer might be safer on minutes

No Salah or Haaland and you have ESR, doesn't look great tbh. Foden(c) probably

I agree no Salah or Haaland was a mistake. But ESR could still come good, no?

    some defender-dilemma

    got Pickford, Andersen, Castagne, Barco

wanted to do Castagne to Robertson this week, but now with Andersen joining Fulham i like to avoid the double up.

Still do it and then swap Andersen out next week? Or got a better option for 4.5?

Chelsea 43 players (I think) Everton down to 14 senior players. Who should PSR be concentrating their attention on?
