Pedro but I’m choosing between Welbeck & Delap which is harder.

Haaland, Pedro & Delap feels like a nice front 3 for a stretch while Welbeck is a one week punt (don’t think Forest at home is that great a fix)

Yeah I’m on a WC, he’s cheaper but that Southampton fix next week feels very nice.

Ipswich are at attacking team which puts him higher up the list for me.

    A) Nedeljkovic

    B) Bogarde

Currently have A but considering using my FT to get B if it’s the later.

I'm not trying to fuel speculation or scare monger here...Haaland seems like he was a lot closer with this bloke than when his Grandma passed last year. Lots of photos of this guy throughout his life.

I think there's a genuine chance he misses the game on Saturday, particularly because of a couple of reasons.

    1. City play Inter Milan 4 days later. Perfect excuse to rest Haaland for the more important fixture against last season's Serie A winners. Pep will be stressing about that game after only beating them narrowly in the Champions League final.

    2. With Foden back in training now and a new formation in play, bringing him back could only previously be at the expense of Bernardo Silva; If Foden plays wide his contributions out there ruin the system somewhat if he comes inside.

So...could Pep play Foden false 9 against Brentford on Saturday? It would allow Rico Lewis to continue playing in the same role without ruining his effectiveness and keep the same formation which has proved successful so far.

I may well just be writing my own narrative here, it just might not be far off ya know

It’s not a mystery, more important players people need/want in their team and that requires selling players with significant value. Also Newcastle are garbage away from home and they have 4 of their next 6 away.

Thomas Frank on Carvalho and Van Den Berg after a friendly against QPR yesterday

"They’ve looked good [over the International break], I would say good performances in the game [on] Thursday, both trained well this week and been fantastic after that, so they’ve been progressing like we want them to do.”

"We bought them for a reason, to develop the team and themselves and part of that plan is hopefully they should start.”

I'm on WC and with that little nugget of information I think I'll bring them in now to sit on my bench for a couple of weeks until their fixtures change, it was also the last piece of the jigsaw I needed to create a Haaland+Salah team without making me want to puke all over the place, cheap defense but corners have to be cut somewhere

    Henderson
    Dunk, Lewis, Digne
    Salah, Palmer, Saka, Rogers
    Haaland, Pedro, Delap

    Fab, Robinson, Carvalho, VDB, 0itb

Think berg is a good shout for last defender if you’re on wc I’d be doing same from what I’ve read

Yeah looking at his wiki page he apparently gets some goals too, I'm getting Dunk type attacking vibes (without ever seeing him play lol )

I like the boldness but would go one over them both to mitigate the risk

I get you, problem is I'm shopping in poundland with not much choice so I may as well just go for it

Don’t mind it but I wouldn’t put too much store in presser quotes. Vdb fine, less certain on Carvalho but could be great

Well hopefully he's not needed if Rogers starts delivering, but still I prefer Carvalho to someone like Winks on the bench even with limited minutes

CB mainly, but apparently can play RB too

Does anyone know if Veltman has been declared fit? Yellow flag removed on FPL.

Thanks mate. Start Veltman (h) to Ipswich or Mazraoui @ Southampton?

          That really is 50-50

Saints won’t roll over and expect Ipswich to put up a fight.

          Maz attacking threat edges it

    How’s it going everyone?

Glad for a break from FPL as always. Took a -4 at the start of the window, with a wildcard draft in the back pocket in case that went wrong. Open to wildcarding soon, just didn’t want to this week given my fixtures.

    Everything in working order here?

    Salah Jota Eze Rogers
    Haaland Isak Joao Pedro
