The next round of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is fast approaching, with the Gameweek 5 deadline at 11am BST on Saturday.

If you’re after some last-minute assistance, five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, will be answering some of your questions over the next hour.

Team selection, transfers, points hits, captaincy: whatever’s on your mind, ask away.

Tom will be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up. If there’s time, he will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

If you’d like to receive an email notification letting you know when future RMT Surgery’s are live, you can now do so. When editing your profile, under ‘Alerts & Notifications‘, you’ll find a section on ‘Email Notifications‘. In there is an option for ‘Rate My Team Surgery‘, check that box and you will receive an email letting you know when the surgery is about to go live.

You can, as ever, chip in with your own opinions on the RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, you’re free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

Don’t forget that, if it’s an algorithmic answer you’re after rather than an opinion-based one, we also have a ‘Rate My Team’ tool available in the Premium Members Area.

Hi Tom. Hope you are well and enjoyed the Champions League.

I’m 50:50 on a Gameweek 6 wildcard, but own Isak and have no bench. How would you rate Watkins versus Jackson or Solanke as a replacement, both as potential one week punts, but also as assets for perhaps three or four weeks?

    Thanks as ever. Thomas

    Who to start from
    A) Davis (sou)
    B) Lewis (ARS)
    C) Faes (EVE)

If I was confident lewis plays 60 minutes then I'd go B but maybe A is the safer pick?

I would go A. Coming from a Lewis owner, but have the easier decision to start Lewis as Hall is my other defender

Thanks, I'm currently on A but I'm thinking Southampton have to score at home to Ipswich else they might as well go back to the championship now! I also think city v arsenal will be tight, possibly 0-0.

As with everyone else I have e a GW6 WC planned.
Got a draft with Raya, Saliba, TAA, Robertson, Salah and Haaland.
Question is: All those premiums surrounded by some junk or ditch Salah and go midrange Arsenal, then spread it around?

    1. ebb2sparky

Too much money in defence imo. Downgrade Robertson or possibly TAA and spend the extra up top.

    Hi Tom,
I am getting a jump on week 6 transfers and wondered your thoughts.
I have 3 transfers available and have already used my WC.
    Current team:
    Sanchez, Vald
    TAA, Robinson, Konas, Faes, Harwood-Bellis
    Salah, Palmer, ESR, Semenyo, Rogers
    Haaland, Pedro, Havertz

I, like everyone else, want Arsenal and Brentford for their good run. Here are my options:
    A. TAA, Palmer, ESR to Gabriel, Saka, Mbueno
    B. Robinson, Salah, ESR to Timber, Saka, Mbueno
    C. Sanchez, Robinson, Salah, to Raya, Saka, Mbueno

    Any thoughts or other options?
    Thanks so much.

    Henderson (Slicker)

    TAA Robinson Lewis (Hall, Barco)

    Salah Jota Eze Rogers (ESR)

    Haaland Isak* Pedro*

Help appreciated if you could pick one of the below. I am pretty certain that I will WC GW6

    A) Save FT, have ESR to come in if one of Isak or Pedro don't feature (Hall to come in if both don't!)
    B) Do Isak to Solanke/Mateta for a one week punt

    2 questions if I may...

    Pope (Aerola)
Saliba, TAA, Davis (Fofana & Barco)
    ESR, Jota, Rogers, Saka (Semenyo)
    Isak, Haaland, Solanke

GW 5 - use my 2 free transfers = Isak to Pedro and Solanke to Watkins (and captain for this gameweek)..

    Then wildcard for GW6

    Raya (Sels)
Saliba, TAA, Davis (Fofana, Van Der Berg)
Saka, Meumbo, Rogers, ESR (or another) (Semenyo)
    Pedro, Haaland, Watkins

    Thanks in advance!

After making those transfers in GW5, it looks like your WC in GW6 only changes 4 players (a couple of them being 2nd choice GK and 5th choice Def). I would advise against doing a WC to change so little

      I think so.
Schade would be the one he's competing with, but not Schade will be the starting striker so Carvalho takes the wing. That's what I assume the situation is going to be. I think that's how they played midweek.
