I've got the same question this week with both TAA and Robbo in my team. I'm thinking of going TAA > Gvardiol to free up some cash and keeping robbo. Otherwise it's Robbo > Lews/Van de ven to free up some cash.

Was thinking Foden in this week before today. Go for this now for a hit or wait one more week. It also strengthens my bench options with 8 decent attacking options instead of always having to play DCL,ESR and Rogers

    Salah and Stewart
    To
    Foden and Solanke

Certainly getting up to speed. Let's see...
78' last night, 24' on Saturday and 90' v Watford. Getting there and looking good.

Pep actually made a comment something like he is slowly but surely getting up to speed which would not inspire me with confidence for a start this week but I am still leaning towards getting on sooner rather than later

I wouldn't personally as I think Eze and Welbeck as attackers have higher upside but go with your gut. Davis did creative vs Villa.

Thinking to go with A and wc in 8, means going haaland-less another week. Would you go A or B and who to captain?

    A:
    Raya
    Gabriel Trent Gvardiol
    Saka Palmer Rogers Eze
    Watkins Solanke Jackson
    (Valdi ESR Konsa H-Bellis)

    B:

    UCL fantasy

Lowest pts at the moment is 6 pts. Only 1 option left to feature in the starting xi so replace overrated Yamal(3 pts) with?
    1) Salah
    2) Bellingham
    3) Trent

Also, will you take out 6 pts for Bellingham or Trent?

    Thanks

    1. SpaceCadet
      • 12 Years

Salah. Same dilemma with vini, Salah and Taa on the bench. Yamal > Salah a no brainer. Not sure how to get the other two in with Haaland being the next lowest scorer.

      1. PartyTime
        • 4 Years

Musiala, Salah, Trent, Bellingham. Bambi & Mo are nailed on to start now.

Might leave the other 2 benched, if I was to risk any it would be Bellingham in for a 6 pts fella.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush so Trent might have to warm that arse on the bench.

Davies out for Vini (Davies/Guerreiro rotation risk) & maybe Rüdiger out for Trent. That’s what I’ll likely do with the team.

    B) TAA, Salah & Watkins -> Gvardiol, Mbeumo & Haaland (-4)
    C) Porro, Salah & Watkins -> 4.5, Mbeumo & Haaland (-4)
    D) Wildcard

    TAA, Gabriel, Porro

Smashed the Great & Good this week. Basically have the same template, except Salah + Havertz + McNeil instead of Diaz + Saka + DCL/Wood. See how it goes over time. But does show you don't have to go too crazy to differentiate.

Very risky IMO. Why ship Liverpool assets against a team that has only kept 1 clean sheet all season?
Palmer up against a much more organised defence than he faced last week.
Will Foden even play? Hasn't had a lot of minutes this season and is supposedly being "eased back in"
Gvardiol nowhere near the same threat as TAA. Can understand wanting to move off ESR, but the other two don't make much sense.

Salah to Diaz to free up the fund and upgrade elsewhere seems like no brainer, and then it is just a decision between Saka vs Palmer. Don't think it is bad move on WC at all at least on paper

If it helps I did similar - though I didn't have Salah - did have Watkins. Can't believe my own stupidity. The only crumb of comfort is that it was a (brutal) reminder of how hard it is to do nothing in this game and to always remember that the players you own have their upside too - don't always focus on the players you don't have.

All of the Great and the Good have Haaland.
I'm really torn as to whether I bring him in. If it was an easy two transfers I might, say Trent and salah, but I very reluctant to rip my team apart.
For context I'd be 5th in their league.

I wouldn't bow to the pressure. Perfectly good strategy to go without and spread that cash with 10m heavy hitters instead.

Moved him out after triple captaining him for his first hat trick; I had planned it as I didn’t think he was value for 15m. I still don’t think he will justify such a price over the season but upcoming fixtures are too scary to go without him.
As FPL goes (and due to red arrows and peer pressure), I took a hit to do Pedro+Salah+Robbo to Haaland+Rogers+Gabriel… this included moving (C) from Palmer to Erling. 31-pt swing.
I may reconsider from GW 12/13.

Maybe a little sideways with risks too. Shelve the idea until the last minute. You might want to roll considering the international break.

With the international break around the corner and all the fun that can follow there, I was thinking how much weight if any do you put on long travellers when picking your team? It could be a coincedence but bar Mbuemo I don't think I own a single non-european player. Diaz ought to be safe this time as Liverpool play Sunday but there are a whole host of South American players with that horrible early morning Wednesday/Saturday pattern, notably Spurs West Ham players who are the early kick off Saturday (Romero, Paqueta) but Gabriel is probably the highest owned player who could be impacted ahead of the Bournemouth game.

These considerations should be made when selecting your squad. We all do it to a level but it is hard to ignore the South American and Asian contributors. The International break is a pain, but it is there.
I am looking at my squad and am affected by Gabriel and to a certain level Salah.
I have a choice of rolling to 4 transfers to reassess and cover contingencies. I so much want Gvardiol, Trossard for Salah so I can move to Haaland, but it is there to bite me this GW.
I have Palmer luckily so I am not forced to move on him but I will lose Havertz to get Haaland as the 3 forwards I want are in a crowded position. I am sure many have this issue.
Can all us non Haaland owners take the risk of going out? Citeh fixtures are to die for so FOMO is taking over.

If you want to clutter your mind; follow them. If you want peace; stick with what you are doing. Similar to deadline info. Hard work and mostly unnecessary! (smile)

I give it some consideration, but the only real part you need to worry about is monitoring injuries. I also pay more attention to Managers pressers to see if they drop any hints that a player may be rested.

Yeah the argument is there, but it existed the week before as well, when nobody was making it. FFS had an article about best cheap forwards and he was behind everyone.

Last Weeks Points is still the main statistic that drives the discourse in FPL.

          Correct.
Sometimes we need to survey the situation, knowing the bandwagons an probably just ignore it. Help rather than knock is a better way of being in peace. My comment had a caveat.
