A suspiciously short list of Thursday pressers so far, so there might be more to add to the below:

    9am - Hurzeler
    1pm - Lopetegui
    1.30pm - Silva
    1.45pm - Dyche

You’re doing great with english. I’ve seen you say it a few times and thought in the end, you know, just let him know. As for your team, the defence looks a bit weak to me. I’d upgrade
          Lewis personally.

Considering the new rule of saving 5FT is a one week punt before playing a Wildcard still a clever move?

Shouldn‘t you rather be saving this transfer in case there is any unexpected injury just after WC? So you‘d avoid to be in an uncomfortable situation just after WC.

Haven’t saved more than 3 so far.
Kudos to those who managed to reach 5.

I decided against it on WC6 (Havertz [mci] - Watkins [WOL] was the move I considered). Would've netted me 4 extra points but in retrospect I think the extra FT saved (I had 3 after WC and managed to keep them a couple weeks longer) was more valuable given that I wanted to hop off triple Arsenal fairly sharpish after SOU and then rejig Haaland funds a couple weeks later

Go for the immediate points available to you in the short term rather than planning for something that may never happen, I say.

saved 5 at the start then wildcarded thinking I could then punt each week. Failed miserably would have been beetter off with my pre wildcard team. Wouldn't bother saving transfers again

    Morning all,

Assuming Palmer fine / only out this week I will keep him. Therefore think my options are either:
    a) Greaves > Hall
    b) Roll - Would leave my bench really skinny this week

Team for this week if Palmer is out and I roll:
    Fabianski
    Lewis / Ait-Mouri / Mykolenko
    Rogers / Mbeumo / Salah / Carvalho
    Haaland / Solanke / Cunha

    Flekken / Davis / Palmer / Greaves

    What dou you prefer?

Gabriel, Ait Nouri, Milenkovic (greaves, lewis)

    1FT 0.3 ITB

    Verb / Fabs
    TAA / Pau / RAN / Greaves / Mosquera
    Palmer / Salah / Mbuemo / Semenyo / Rogers
    Haaland / Vardy / Raul

Not sure whether to play is safe and do a dull transfer like Mosque out for Hall, or aggressive and Haaland&Vardy out for Solanke&Cunha (or something).

    Any comments?

very similar team to me but your defence is slightly stronger (Gabriel & Milenkovic vs Davis & Mykolenko).

I am contemplating Greaves > Hall but think I would roll therefore I think your situation is also a roll

  15. No Professionals

    Team feels ok

    Flekken
    Lewis Milenkovic Ait-Nouri
    Salah(c) Palmer Mbeumo Rogers Semenyo
    Haaland Solanke

    Verbruggen Davis Konsa Chiwome
    1ft 0.1itb

It's very tempting to take Palmer out for Fernandes or Son, but with Leicester up next it feels like I should keep him (although I have no decent subs).

    B) Palmer to Son
    C) Palmer to Fernandes

Got 2 FT and 1 sad DCL + not keen on Watkins/Rogers vs. Liverpool. Raya can also do one with the form Arsenal are in but that's not a priority

    A) DCL to Cunha/Welbeck (bench Rogers)
    B) Watkins to Isak (bench DCL)
    C) both
    D) swallow the Villa boys' likely blanks and save for 3 FT after internationals

    Raya
Trent Robinson Ait Nouri (Davis, Torres)
    Mo Palmer Mbeumo Johnson Rogers*
    Watkins* Wood (DCL*)

    . .. probably A, right?

Also is it too wild to consider starting Rogers over Watkins? Seems to be better at everything at the moment

If you don't trust Watkins over Rogers, it's time to sell him, too much money to be on the bench.
DCL isn't a priority sell in my opinion, West Ham is a great fixture so I would give him one last chance.

      1. cigan
        • 7 Years
        1 year, 28 days ago

Yeah it's why I'm considering selling, had him from the start and obviously never benched but he's on borrowed time

If I have to play 1 one of them, Rogers seems to be in better form at the moment regardless of the price (and it's not like I'm losing money anything by doing that)

Agree on DCL vs. the hopeless West Ham defense but I'm afraid Southampton was last chance and he did nothing at all. Should never have bought the bum in retrospect

Odegaard coming back is so badly needed for Arsenal. Makes Saka and Havertz better assets imo from a creativity perspective but also takes that leadership burden off Saka so he can get back to doing his own thing. From a non-FPL perspective although he did have one outstanding season in FPL, Odegaard is really underrated as a footballer. They've looked very one dimensional without Odegaard.
