    Raya
    Trent Ait Nouri Gabriel
    Saka Mbeumo Palmer Salah Semenyo
    Welbeck Raul

    Bentley Wood Aina Greaves

2 free transfers, 0.5 in the bank.

Any glaring issues ? Assuming Trent is fine of course.
    I'm thinking of just rolling.

Prepare for Trent to not be fine.

With Real Madrid and City to follow straight after Saints, who’s to say he’s held back for those even if fit.

I had 2FT also and already sold. Can’t afford to deal with the doubt.

Bruno vs Isak is very close. Depends on your 8th attacker. Which do you prefer?
    A) Isak and Rogers
    B) Bruno and J Pedro

Rogers will inevitably be rotated or have less minutes during fixture congestion but that's fine he's cheap. I guess same goes for Joao

Disagree as I have Isak, Rogers and J Pedro

Of the 2, I think I prefer B because I don't see Rogers as a monster hauler, while the others could rake in points. However, I'm not on the Bruno bandwagon, personally, as I prefer other midfield options with better fixtures.

He got 2 decent fixtures. Then a move to Semenyo or something in that range is fine, especially if it seems new coaches system does not suit him.

        1. Deulofail
          • 9 Years
          1 year, 1 month ago

2FTs for the sake of 2 fixtures, then cutting down the big hitter spot in the team to a small-timey Semenyo-type? Seems like planning to plan poorly. Why not avoid the sup-optimal and get a team you actually want for the mid-long term?

          1. HelmutCool
            • 3 Years
            1 year, 1 month ago

Ohh I got him in 2 weeks ago. But not totally againts shorter punts if coverage is there on bench and first injury does not result in taking hits.

I assumed we were talking about Saka White Rices's team! Better to bench Bruno for Asr & Man City than to sell IMO, but better to not buy in the first place in most cases, I think.

I guess it depends on your plan with Bruno after Ipswich and Everton. Do you keep him for the tricky fixtures? If not, I'd go with A.

I'm sorry, I misinterpreted. I thought we were talking about the definition of form, but you were reiterating your reasons to buy Pedro. I guess my brain didn't conceive of the possibility that you do indeed consider 25 mins to constitute form. My bad entirely.

Well, it does constitute "form", albeit over a very short duration. Is there a standard expert definition/duration ?

His performance does actually indicate his confidence level and finishing to a degree...

And then one might think has this player played before this season and how did he get on ? Hmmm two goals in 3 starts, not bad...albeit a massive 6 or 7 games ago.

So he has been in form relatively recently based on the matches that he's actually played suggesting he's been "on it" this season notwithstanding injury

He's not had poor form all season. He's either scoring goals or injured. He's no longer injured.

The injury bit has to be the caveat though. Its not like he was injury free all of last season either, this recent one is not out of character. We've all seen the risks of this sort of thing with Son already this season, coming back, breaking down and then having to be eased in again. At 5.4m he seems pretty risk free and I'm sure he'll rise to 5.5 or 5.6 before the breaks over but the one negative of his price is if you go there with nothing in the bank and he gets injured again where are you going with one transfer? Heading into the busy period of fixtures where there will already be rotation, that sort of scenario is not ideal at all.

I’m not sold on either as I prefer Roger’s and Pedro to have a place.

Roger’s offers too much value for his price. I don’t agree about the inevitability of being rotated.

Not a fan of Bruno. Too much uncertainty and you can’t polish a turd when it comes to that United side.

    Henderson
    TAA, Gabriel, Gvardiol
    Salah, Bruno, Mbeumo, Johnson
    Watkins, Wood, Jiménez

Its not a bad team, but might wc just because bot many better timeslots before 29.12 (tou cant have 2 right? Need to use prior to that first one)

I your case you got money in the bank to burn. Would fix goalkeeper situation and invest a little to the bench as games after IB come in flurry and nice to have some depth.
Maybe consider players that rotate well together in offense.

One thing I don't understand is if I select WC team and leave it for a week will the price changes affect my pre-WC team or my current WC team?

Plus if I subsequently change the WC team next week what happens?!

Sorry but confused about this one!

Price changes happen the same way as normal whether you've activated your WC or not. Remember the WC cannot be deactivated once played.

I played wc this week, took an 0.7 hit first day letting go of wood, rogers and haaland which I had value in all. But had to happen I guess...
Now I got pretty much final draft, only Raya has a placeholder in his place in case he would drop 0.1 (is close dropping)
Some gains with Hall, Bruno, Wissa, but nothing mindblowing.

Front line of Wood, Solanke, Raul

But also really throwing points away keeping Flekken and Muric with Pickford , Fab, onana and verburggen good fixtures.

Solanke to Isak/ Pedro with only FT

    Or

    Get an actual keeper

    1. Hazz
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

On the goalkeeper front I'd probably just hold Flekken for the next two. Decent enough fixtures, even if he is allergic to clean sheets.

Then if Verbruggen is your man, switch to him in 15.

I'd avoid Pickford. Fixtures turn ugly. Look at that run. Maybe a clean sheet against Wolves, but possibly not a clean sheet in there till GW23 or so after...

Onana is proving his worth. If you do want him, probably move now for the next two... but Ipswich cable of goals.

FYI I have Flekken & Fabianski and probably hiding till 15 or so.

Solanke to Isak is the most attractive there for me. Raul could be moved into Pedro in 13, unless you want to hold him.

That’s a great reply many thanks. Confirmed what I was thinking which is super helpful.

Probably do Isak in for solanke now and eat humble pie for getting solanke last week (did get Bruno same time!)

Then bench wood, keep for Ipswich at home and look at Raul to Pedro next week

May your arrows be green friend

Mate I did exactly the same RE: Solanke. I was far too 'scared' of the Ipswich fixture as I didn't have Johnson either. Definitely a case of being blinded.

Isak was quite possibly the #2 choice of mine for that spot (I posted about it) but opted against it as NFO would be difficult...

Your plan is the same as mine, even with Raul GW13 (probably).

Former Valencia president Paco Roig admits he tried to buy the referee against Bayern Munich in 1996:

"I tried to buy a match through an agent who tricked me. He said he's very close to the referee,

I gave him the 3 million euros, and then in the 5th minute, the referee awarded a penalty against Valencia."

Joao Pedro or Welbeck the better pick on WC?

Both good options. I'm getting Welbeck as I think he's more sure of mins and if its the wrong move he's easier to move on whereas if Pedro gets injured again he's dirt cheap and if you've used all your budget up on the wildcard its a stretch to get anyone bar Strand Larsen to replace him. FYI Welbeck is believed to be close to a price rise so if you're heading that way I'd head there before tomorrow.

Cheers, I really like that reasoning. Will go with Welbeck as well.

the mins bit is just my opinion by the way, could easily work the other way round but they'll both get some minutes either way and there's some lovely fixtures ahead for a really decent attack at that price point. As I say, not an expert on the price change malarky but the usual sources are saying Welbeck will be 6m very soon so get him in before you lose out on that 0.1m.

Thanks, I will. Yeah, we can of course always only speculate on mins. and the like, but fingers crossed as always.

Is there any need to activate WC or save it? Got 2 FTs, 0.6itb

    Salah Palmer ESR Mbeumo
    Haaland Cunha Wood

    Valdi Winks Johnson Harwood

No need at all with 2FTs.
Not much time to use it to get the benefit, but if your teams in good shape then why bother.

    Thoughts? 3ft and 2.9 itb

    Kellher, Flekken
    Ait-Nouri, Konate, Vdb, Lewis, Faes
    Salah, Mbeumo, Bruno, MCNEIL, Rogers
    RAUL, STRAND-LARSEN, HAALAND

Thinking: McNeil, Strand-Larsen & Haaland --> Palmer, Isak & Havertz?

Is Ragabolly on here from time to time?

LiveFPL is such a great thing, but I'm a bit curious about how theese Legendary Managers (all time top1000) are calculated.

Does anyone know the formula for the 'Alltime score' listed next to the managers name on the legendary list? Those in the bottom have a score listed as 51.91.

    Thanks in advance!

Providing Palmer is passed fit, would you do this?

    Garnacho, Haaland > Palmer, Isak

Yes for free. Means I start DCL and Collins, though…

Then no imo... rather concentrate on getting rid off them 2.

No money in the bank to remove them really.

Could do Porro > Hall and play Hall over Collins. Then I’d have some money to get Wissa or Cunha. Not sure the upside is there…

Tricky one because all four players have good fixtures.

I think both Haaland and Isak score double digits. It’s just Palmer vs Garnacho is not a competition - Garnacho wing back…!?
