My defence is as follows: Gabriel Lewis Myko Greaves Van den Berg. Which option you prefer?

    A. Greaves to Timber
    B. Greaves to TAA
    C. Lewis and Myko to Timber and TAA (-4)
    D. Greaves and Lewis to Timber and VVD (-4)

Leaning towards B or C fwiw.

Can't decide on TAA or VVD.

VVD is safer but I feel owed a nice TAA haul after owning him earlier in season.

    1. Think I am going TAA, bit more of a higher ceiling.
Nothing wrong with VVD though as can see some headed goals coming in

I owned TAA for much of the season before his injury and would have been better off with VVD/Konate and the money saved.

Holding fire from Pool defenders for the next couple as I think Fulham and Spurs will score against them

Yeah, this is why I'm really struggling this week. Think I might just roll as ditching Haaland could backfire (held him this long so may as well hold on for the decent festive fixtures).

I find it hard to understand keeping Haaland at the moment, just isn't doing enough to justify paying 14.9m.

    Morning all,

Would appreciate any suggestions on what to do with the below. Feels like a defender transfers is a priority, ideally Greaves but can only stretch to 4.4 which rules out the likes of Hall / Kerkez

    Current team this week:
    Fabianski
    Ait-Nouri / Davis / Gabriel
    Salah / Saka / Palmer / KDB
Jackson / Cunha / Joao Pedro

    Flekken / Rogers / Lewis / Greaves

Yeah feels like maybe these are the options:
        A) Lewis > up to 5.1 Defender. Cucarella maybe?
        B) Greaves > 4.4 defender, Emerson / Lamptey / Igor

        1. Captain Mal
          • 1 Year
          1 year, 1 day ago

          A with Colwill or Kerkez.
          B only for Hujsen.
But I prefer A, that's why I told you to sell Lewis.

Respect for the KDB pick - I am not sure I like it though. Personally, I would get rid of Lewis for a Liverpool defender. City couldn't keep clean sheets this season even before they turned into a pub team and Liverpool are on fire. You'd have Arsenal and Liverpool defence every week then.

That's not for another 2 months and there's a congested fixture schedule to deal with where having good bench options will cover any injuries, rotations, suspensions etc.

Having seen Everton's fixtures for the next 8 gameweeks, I don't think I'd want to play Myko in any of those games.

Was set on bringing in Bruno for ESR. This week on paper is a tough match against city but they’ve been shite for weeks and even before they turned shite they couldn’t defend. However, United always make me think twice. Alternatively could save my transfer. I have no other issues (except who to captain) and I still have my wildcard. Any advice? If useful, my midfield is Salah, Palmer, Saka, Rogers with forwards of Wissa, Jackson and Cunha.

I am still tempted even though every fibre of me is screaming "it is still Manchester United". I could then play Rogers and Bruno in midfield and bench Wissa as Brentford are away, which means they will be shite (he will score a hattrick now). What would your reason be to do the transfer?

        1. Captain Mal
          • 1 Year
          1 year, 1 day ago

Bruno has been my most consistent performer as of late. Even if United are bad (and make no mistake, they really are) they have had no trouble scoring goals and Bruno is very likely to be involved (through ball, mid/long range shot, late run in the box, set pieces, many avenues to points). Despite a couple of early subs, his expected minutes are great moving forward and definitely much better than Smith Rowe's.
I'd play Wissa over Rogers by the way.

It's your call of course, but I think Bournemouth is a much, much better team than West Ham and they are playing at home, too. I expect an easy victory for the Cherries and wouldn't be surprised if they kept a clean sheet as well.

Is Salah clear of Palmer as (c) this week? He is clear favourite in the poll but I’m not sure, Fulham can be a stubborn team to play against versus Brentford who leak a lot of goals and are significantly weaker away from home.

Not much in it between Salah, Palmer, and Saka imo. Hard to say which one gets the biggest haul. Fulham is a good side and Robinson is a quality defender but I'm not going to overthink it. Salah is getting 11 ppg this season.

Fulham have both their first choice CBs unavailable and Salah has hit double digits in 10 of 14 games so far.

I'm surprised Fulham is a 'green' FDR fixture in FPL tbh

      Results away from home:

      MUN 1-0 FUL
      IPS 1-1 FUL
      NFO 0-1 FUL
      MCI 3-2 FUL
      EVE 1-1 FUL
      CRY 0-2 FUL
      TOT 1-1 FUL

      Not exactly leaking goals!

Of all teams for the last 6 away games played Fulham =
      - Fewest big chances conceded (9)
      - 2nd fewest goals conceded (6)
      - Lowest xG conceded (5.9)
      - 2nd fewest shots in box conceded (42)

I think the official PL site FDR is supposed to be very simplistic, to the point of saying will this team win this game 7 times out of 10 maybe? Thats a yes. Fulham are decent sure but mid-table decent against the league leaders away from home. FDR is only really looking at likelihood of a win not CS or goals scored.

Assuming we don't get a clear update on Gabriel, would you do Mbeumo + Bednarek -> Enzo + Trent with 2FT's. Would like Isak but don't think I can justify getting rid of any of my current forwards.

    Would give me this:

    Verbruggen
