Castagne 4.2m, alternative option to Andersen

Marco Silva reveals Fulham right-back Kenny Tete is set to miss around 8-10 weeks with a knee injury which does not require surgery. Joachim Andersen is back in training ahead of Southampton

Castagne the only senior RB available

Silva on Tete: "It's a big blow. We have Timothy Castagne to replace him. We was impressive last season. When he took Tete's place, Kenny couldn't win it back. This season, it's been the other way round, as Timothy arrived a little late to pre-season."

I don’t think they have a proper left back available. Spurs could look to exploit that with Kulusevski & Porro. I see goals for both sides. Ideally, Liverpool should win but goals change games.

Oliver Glasner: "Eze out tomorrow. Nobody back."

So as it stands is Cunha banned for Leicester or isn't he? - whats with all the confusion, are they going to confirm the ban as they announce the line ups or what?

he is not officially banned yet (unless I have missed something), but I would be amazed if he isn't.

It will be clear pre deadline either way, so if you own, hold.

    4. Tonyawesome69

There's no confusion. He's been charged by the FA for misconduct and the deadline was yesterday for a response. FA have to process his response and conclude on the charge

      1. RNG

The confusion isn't over the charge. It's over the timing of the ban.

Yup TM worded it better. Like I said FA still have to process the response and conclude on the charge

Not according to the attachment from the committee meeting on the FA site

"On 24 October 2024, MK submitted a Disciplinary Proceedings Reply Form. He admitted the charge against him. He did not request a personal hearing."

Looks as though actually Kudus/West Ham appealed the second charge which extended the ban from an initial three games to five.

Kudus and West Ham were given separate charges (breaches of Rules E3.1 and E20)

                    11 months, 28 days ago

I know that. We are talking about two different things.

Kudus appealed the second charge against him:

"The appeal is limited to a second charge and the possibility of a further ban beyond three games. What triggered Kudus and what was said by a Spurs player will be provided in evidence to the tribunal."

All details are in the FA link.

The charge was for his actions after the RC.

It was also alleged that Mohammed Kudus acted in an improper manner and/or used violent conduct after the offence that he was sent off for. The forward admitted to this charge, and he has been given a two-match suspension and £60,000 fine by the Regulatory Commission.

                      https://www.thefa.com/news/2024/nov/06/west-ham-united-and-mohammed-kudus-sanctioned-061124

Yes this was the final decision. An appeal by Kudus against the second charge was still made which would have elongated the process and as a result isn't a good example to use with regards to Cunha, unless he too has appealed.

You can read about the appeal provided by Kudus here:

                        https://www.hammers.news/news/mohammed-kudus-was-stressed-before-spurs-bust-up-and-one-fa-panellist-wanted-west-ham-star-hit-with-mammoth-ban/

The only way to get Cunha to Isak is to lose Trent or Mbuemo and I don't want to do that

    Sels Fabianski
    TAA Gabriel Timber Hall Greaves
    Salah Palmer Saka Mbeumo Rogers
    Cunha Wood Pedro

    2ft
    0.7 itb

I don't rate Isak due to fitness problems, especially around Xmas, 2 transfers waiting to happen

Raul vs Wood from next week as a Cunha replacement?

Rauls numbers seem higher, better fixtures and frees up a bit more money but Wood massively outperforming his stats and nailed.

    1. Jet5605
      • 11 Years
      11 months, 28 days ago

Same dilemma. It's a very tough call IMO. I think both could score similar points but it's basically Raul's better fixtures and cheaper price tag v Wood's 90 minute nailedness and general reliability.

  21. Jet5605
    • 11 Years
    11 months, 28 days ago

    Final WC dilemma:

    A - Henderson & Wood
    B - Allison & Raul

Raul has minute issues but has a longish run of glorious fixtures. Wood is nailed but so so fixtures. Allisson has a DGW coming up but Pool defence isn't as watertight without Konate. I'll play Munoz sometimes which would mean a Palace and Arsenal double up.

    Fabianski
    Gabriel - Timber - Robinson
    Salah - Saka - Palmer - Amad
    Isak - Jackson - XXX

    XXX - Enzo - Munoz - O'Shea

    1. Zladan
      • 8 Years
      11 months, 28 days ago

Pickford is the best keeper on an WC now and rotates well with Fabianski, especially with DGW24.

      Enzo I would avoid.

TAA should be a lock on a WC.

Timber I understand, but not necessary.

Get Myko over O’Shea/Munoz - how many times will you use that 4/5th defender outside of DGW24?

JPedro or Raul the best 3rd striker option for budget enabling.

    2. David Parkinson
      • 3 Years

Hey again. Toughest time of WC week right now I reckon, when the doubt kicks in...

Don't mind Wood's fixtures - Brentford, Spurs, Wolves & Southampton in the next 6 all have good potential. But I think I slightly prefer A. You can easily bench Raul v Chelsea (and/or Bournemouth if he starts at Chelsea) with this setup - rotation with Amad looks decent. Konate should be back by 24 I think

    Young or Munoz?

If you had to pick one, irrespective of the fixtures

Was set on starting Rogers at home to city after his rest and Semenyo 1st sub away to Utd, but after last nights terrible defensive display I’m not sure now, ahhh

    A. Play Rogers, Semenyo 1st sub
    B. Play Semenyo, Rogers 1st sub

    From reputable wolves journos...

As it stands, Matheus Cunha is free to play on Sunday against Leicester.

Wolves are yet to hear from the FA on any potential ban and until they do, he is free to play.

Wolves are expecting Matheus Cunha WILL be available to face Leicester City this weekend

Be more helpful if either of them could tell us if they appealed or not. I mean anyone could tell you that 'as it stands' he plays because we haven't heard otherwise.

Thanks. I’m expecting him to be available for that game & probably a hat-trick like Toney did when people sold prior to his suspension.

Thanks for the info T. Much appreciated.
Bumping the question again -- did any journalist ask at the press conference if Wolves had lodged an appeal?
