    Thoughts on below moves?

    A. Mateta > Gakpo
    B. Kerkez > Konate
    C. Jota > Mbuemo
    D Jota > Mbuemo
    E. Greaves > Myko

    Thanks

I assume one of C or D was for a player that isn't Jota.
Selling Jota is a great plan, Mbeumo is a great option.
Greaves to Myko is fine if the money isn't an issue
Selling Kerkez is a very bad idea with Bournemouth fixtures coming up
Mateta to Gakpo I'm on the fence over and I'd prefer you sold a different forward as long as it's not Isak but it's not a bad move.

Thanks, C and D, one of them should have been Jota > Kluivert.

I don'[t really want to sell Wissa so it would have to be Mateta for Gakpo, what do you think.

I've been looking at this as well, what's a better pair of fixtures... All away from home.

    A. Bournemouth and Everton
    B. Leicester and Villa

From the record Salah's goals/assists are pretty similar against Everton and Villa.

His record is better against Bournemouth compared to Leicester.

So it's just the current form of Bournemouth to consider which is the added weight in the TV equation.

I still think Liverpool will win against Bournemouth.

It's not likely Salah gets a hat trick...

A goal and an assist would be a reasonable return in a match.

You can also consider that there are two games between Bournemouth and Everton. Salah might get a knock or something.

Villa away is a hard game. 1 defeat so far this season compared with 2 for Bournemouth. But Villa do ship more goals. I think that fixture would be better for Mo than it would for Slot.

People are overthinking this a bit too much IMO. Could the fixtures be easier? Sure. But Liverpool are top of the PL and UCL for a reason. It's not out of the question that they rock up and win both games, and if that happens then Salah is sure to be heavily involved.

Suddenly fixtures are completely irrelevant for a player no one owned til a couple weeks ago? I mean, I like him and maybe it's close v Bruno, but the hype here is getting very strange that you're so outraged by the mere suggestion of benching him v Pool. And you want to start Kerkez?!

            • 9 Years

Have you been watching the way Bou are playing, especially Kluivert, form is more important than fixtures, united for example have look horrendous, Kerkez I understand as no chance of cs but benching him has gone very badly recently. Liverpool look awful at the back too.

If Liverpool look awful at the back then every single team in the league looks awful at the back as well. Yes maybe they aren't keeping as many clean sheets as they should (late lapse vs Ipswich etc) but they are not giving up many chances at all - stats will back this up too.

In fairness, choosing between starting Kluivert v Wood v Bruno is close, but Liverpool are on a different level to either Forest or Newcastle. Just look at their comparative goal difference for a start.

Kerkez should be firmly on the bench unless you've no better option(s) in defence.

Yes, I love it! And I don't want to be a cynic. But realistically, who do I think is more likely to haul in your midfield? Salah, Mbeumo, Palmer. Do I think Wood is more likely to score against Brighton than Kluivert v Pool? Yeah I do

I would be tempted to play Kluivert because of form especially as most will bench him this week or not bring him in until after the pool game. Would probably start Munoz but I don't see an issue with starting Kerkez either. Bournemouths good form will likely continue against Liverpool imo

Good for thought maybe TC25. Wolves have conceded 28 goals away, Bournemouth and Everton have conceded 20 combined at home

TC on a somewhat out of form Salah against Bournemouth (One of the most inform sides currently if not the most) and Notoriously stubborn Everton at the last ever Goodison derby

Mulling to use AM this GW as all the other chips are available and want to utilise all the budget on the squad later.

    Considering the following managers currently:

    1) Slot - The safe choice. Liverpool top and as discussed heavily low celling but high floor. Both games potential banana skins though.

    2) Moyes - Considering only due to DGW. Both games at home. In derbies, unexpected things happen and if Everton nick a result (even a draw) against LIV along with the expected win against LEI, Moyes will go in FPL folklore.

    3) Iraola - Table bonus on line vs LIV. Bournemouth at home are giant killers and are in tremendous goal scoring form. One for the mavericks.

    4) Silva - GW24(NEW),25(NFO) both have table bonus on the line. Reverse fixtures were wins for Fulham. Team as a whole raise their game for the tougher opponents as seen through the season.

    5) Pereira - Another derby and Aston Villa had been slightly lackluster after Europe. Wolves had a win and a draw in the last 2 games at the Molineux against AVL. Table bonus on the line.

    6) Potter - West Ham picking up form, CHE on decline, Potter visiting his previous employers, London Derby. If Bowen returns, a really good opportunity for table bonus.

    7) Hurzeler - Brighton are meh and are away at NFO. Table bonus is there, but can he upset Nuno. Draw in the reverse fixture.

Thoughts on this? Have only listed DGW managers and the ones having table bonus on the line. Planning one GW at a time and am prepared to chop and change for the remaining 2 GWs.

If I had £1.1m and wasn't hitting TC I'd just play it on Iraolo.

Bournemouth do have the better chance for the table bonus in gw24.

I guess that is weighed up against Leicester and a bonus match at Goodison against Liverpool. So I do see the attraction in switching in gw25, especially if you have banked FTs or have about 0.5m itb now.

      On Potter, I'm not convinced.

I'm happy to risk it on a Brentford or Fulham team against Chelsea. I just think that Chelsea normally have West Ham and Tottenham's number.

I do think clubs head to heads count. The predictor models are all massively based on home and away historical data.

      1. Tommy Template
        • 11 Years

Brighton are the most likely table bonus winner according to Elevenify's model if it helps any? 34% chance of beating Forest. Wolves next with 30% then Bournemouth 27%, Fulham 22%, Everton 18%, West Ham 17%. I think his model is generally pretty low on Forest and Villa though if memory serves right.

Yeah, only looking for GW24 currently and AVL do look prime for an upset, AVL's form, lack of CBs and hangover post Europe. 100% going with him in Fantasy Challenge though!

      2. Merlin Magic
        • 10 Years

Iraola may be the smartest choice this week, but don't think I have the appetite for such a big risk. Liverpool are THE team this season.

Great point there that Chelsea have West Ham's number. Plus they are at home.

Leaning towards Moyes or Silva at the moment. But seriously considering Pereira too, considering Wolves at home, AVL's form, lack of CBs and hangover post Europe. May be an upset is on the cards.

It depends on your chip plans and on how open you are to take hits I guess.
If the odds favorites advance to the cup final, you'll have 8 GW29 blankers. 6 FTs(including this one) to deal with it. You bench 3 and have to remove 5 to field 11 that week. Not to mention keeping Wood for the new, ARS, MCI run, or potential underperforming players.
In this context options A and B feel like luxury moves. Then again, I don't know how nailed Greaves is.
Of course, if you plan to FH in GW29, then what I wrote above doesn't matter.
      Tl;dr
Hard to answer without knowing chip strategy and how nailed Greaves is.

    5 chips to play

14 weeks (-2 weeks with the AM chip) to deploy it...

So in 12 gws for those with all the chips in hand, you need to use one 5 times.

Have all chips, 5k rank overall, nees to be flawless with the chips.

If you don't deploy a chip in the next 2 weeks, you're essentially deploying one every other week that's left.

I don't think there is a foresight optimal.

What will be sub-optimal is freezing with fear of not getting it exactly right.

Chips are worthless if not used.

Absolutely nothing wrong or offensive about Ur original post.

I think with limited dgws this season u have to use Ur TC this gameweek and save BB and Am for much larger gameweeks with more options.

Also AM limits the use of other chips so might as well get TC out of the way. aM has the highest upside so I'd want more options for that so save it for dgws involving more teams

I'm not "offended"; just trying to offer constructive feedback on site etiquette (& how he might get more replies) - something you could do with paying more consideration too tbh

            Ok 🙂

Personally, with the AM chip in particular, I prefer to take some risks going for bonus so it's unlikely to be flawless

Just realised we're probably going to start seeing big fluctuations in rank with this new AM chip...especially around double gameweeks. Will be psychologically difficult to take the big red multiple times!

What are people doing with Fulham assets?

Im torn. The small chance of a double and generally they are decent assets for the price.

For me the only way to reach Everton is to sell Robinson or Raul.

Would you guys stick or twist?

Average upcoming fixtures so not a must sell/keep. I am selling to get my 3rd Liverpool player

Robinson's my only Fulham player and I'm thinking of binning him. Only 1 assist in the last 7 games if you ignore the 2 absolute flukes against West Ham, and I'm not sure there are many cleanies on the horizon.

Will probably jump on Everton this week, then back to Forest in a few weeks' time.

Somehow ended up with Harry Wilson in my team. Benching this week (for Wood) then selling in 25, probably to Dango. Not holding out any hope for a DGW

Wilson was a good punt at the time, unlucky he didn't play the whole second half, only with hindsight was he not. Easy transfer to a Bournemouth mid in 25.

Would changing the rule about not being able to use more than one chip at a time actually promote more variance?

Some may go for all out in one week whereas others may spread it out to deal with the different doubles.

Feels like at the moment everyone is in lockstep where Salah's EO this week will be something like 250%+ and then we have the usual bench boost played at the same time with similar players.

    1. Sheffield Wednesday

There already will be enormous variance with deployment of the AM chip.

    B: Kluivert

    2: Hall

    d. wood > wissa

While Fulham is a juicy fixture for sure, with these fixtures it's time to offload on NEW assets and it's high time to bring in BRE attackers.

Might also do Wood to Wissa instead.

They were conceding goals and losing games with them at the back too, so doubt it really matters

I wouldn't consider Fulham, 3rd best defence for xGC this season, "a tasty fixture".

VDV with 2 hammy injuries this season, I can't see spurs making the same mistake again.
