With the two-and-a-half-week break finally behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the Gameweek 30 Scout Picks.

We deliberated over the Scout Squad submissions made by Marc, Sam, Tom and Neale before coming up with our final team.

As ever, we are limited by certain restrictions in our selection:

  • An £83.0m budget for our starting XI
  • An overall squad limit of £100.0m
  • No more than three players per team

GAMEWEEK 30 SCOUT PICKS

GOALKEEPER

FPL price change predictions: Who will rise + fall on March 6?

We’ve gone with Alisson Becker (£5.6m) despite the potentially tricky test that Everton will pose.

Liverpool, who have won their last three Premier League home games against the Toffees, each by a 2-0 scoreline, boast the second-best expected goals conceded (xGC) tally in 2024/25.

No club has kept more clean sheets than Liverpool’s 12, either.

Everton, meanwhile, are on a nine-match unbeaten run under David Moyes, but have scored the joint-fewest away goals this season, with 11 in 14 matches.

    What combo on WC?

    A) Areola, Livramento, Gordon (4 games on BB33)
    B) Martinez, Trippier, Murphy (5 games on BB33)

Feeling very unexcited about my grimly template wildcard. Got a feeling I'm going to end up convincing myself to go with Savinho or Rashford or Pedro just to feel something.

That is the issue, the different picks don’t feel great

Agree mate, keep searching for good differentials but the best is just a total punt on A City midfielder or Rashford or Watkins. I would even put Saka in the punt category due to the time out. Sticking with Palmer for now but that can definitely change.

Maybe we all shouldn't be picking Raya and Gabriel....

"No Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.4m), then. That’s largely because of opponents Fulham, who have scored in every away league match since the opening weekend of the 2024/25 campaign."

What would you change with this WC? Too much with Sels maybe but bought him when 4.7..
    Plan: BB32, FH34

    (0.0 itb)
    Raya (Sels)
    Gvardiol/Gabriel/Munoz (Burn, Milenkovic)

Of the 4 Newcastle midfielders (including Bruno G) I think Murphy is the safest. The others have higher ceilings but risky minutes.

On wildcard - some minor tinkering since last post

    Raya
    Munoz Gvardiol Kerkez
    Salah Sarr Foden* Kliuvert
    Mateta Marm Isak

    Areola Trippier* Gabriel Murphy*

Plan to play AM in GW31 and FH in GW34

Was originally on Saka from the off, but think he may get rested early doors... took a punt on Foden but know its high risk and could bite me!

Also unsure on Tripps now - should I just got Liv or Burn?

    Best AM 31-33?

Weighing up between Howe, Glasner and Emery atm

Any hits needed here? With Tavernier out, Dango possibly starts v IPS and so decent cover for Haaland.

    A - Haaland > Marmoush
    B - No hits
    C - WC

    Pickford
    Gabriel - Milenkovic - Munoz
    Bruno - Bowen - Kluivert - Salah
    Haaland - Mateta - Wissa

    Dubrovka - Dango - Williams - O'Shea

    1. Fodderx4
      • 8 Years

A over B but I wild carded in a slightly worse position, you would scrape by with a hit. Would you wildcard next week if not? how different would your team be from your current wild team drafts?

      1. Jet5605

Thanks. It's a trade off between lost points this week (not having Isak, Raya) and more info next week (Saka, Villa mids, new injuries) and DGW confirmation.

Isak has a tough game in Brentford who are good away and so I'm thinking a -4 to get Marmoush is a small price to pay for waiting a week

Who would you pick on WC?
    A - Palmer

Palmer is better for minutes and on pens. Neither are on form so they're both risks anyway.

On the same debate at the moment but between Saka and Foden, the latter being a 1 week punt. Personally feels good to get Palmer out my team, even if he is against Spurs…

    Last 3 slots on Wildcard:

A - you’ll want Saka in soon and B will involve multiple transfers to get him in.

B IMO. Kluivert could haul vs Ipswich and Gabriel is a much better pick than Konsa.

GTG or hit in Mateta for Haaland?

    Henderson

    FH34 and BB36.

You prbably have to predict the FAC finalists for BB36.

I was thinking the second one to be Martinez or Sels with BB36 in mind? Tempted by Alisson over Raya but no doubles.

          I might go Raya, Alisson.

The WC template has no Pool defender yet best for CS

If games even get moved to 36 - can't see the cup finalists being happy about being made to play a league game a few days before a cup final if they could easily play it in 37 instead.

Milenkovic, good clean sheet odds, decent attacking threat, small chance of a double, plus he is the best overall pick in case you need him in any other week.

10 playing at home this week, somewhat differential team. If I WC now it won't be much different than the others for the medium term.
If I WC in 31, I could pick a Gordon over Murphy or both and Eze over Munoz. Gvardiol won't be as a good option, rather have 3 Arsenal defenders.

Not sure, but by the looks of it, current WCers plan to BB in 32, I could do it in 33.

^^Need to go different because of rank.

Fair enough if your WC31 team will have a few different picks over WC30.

Even the BB. I don't know what they are doing. BB33 means Kluivert vs Munoz, Kerkez vs Mateta and Sarr, double Arsenal defence vs double Palace attack. Also saw some Martinez vs. double Newcastle attack and Marmoush.

Spending 10.2m on player who is coming back after a long injury and most likely will be eased into the team with a view of having him fully utilised in Champions League seem like a risk.

It would do, but with so much cash and hitting BB in a couple of weeks, I don’t have an issue with benching him like I usually would with a 10.2m player
