Premier League fixture announcement awaited after City reach FA Cup final

Manchester City will play Crystal Palace in this year’s FA Cup final after Pep Guardiola’s side defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 on Sunday.

From a Fantasy perspective, this will have ramifications.

The final of England’s premier cup competition clashes with Gameweek 37 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), so the match between Man City and Bournemouth now can’t go ahead on that weekend, as City are at Wembley.

But a free midweek follows, which could accommodate the league meeting between Man City and Bournemouth. That would mean no blanks or doubles for either club.

It could also be brought forward to the midweek after Gameweek 36, however, meaning a Double Gameweek 36 and Blank Gameweek 37 for both Man City and Bournemouth.

We’ll likely find out a new date for Man City v Bournemouth – and Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton Wanderers – ahead of the Gameweek 35 deadline this Friday.

For Nottingham Forest and West Ham United, there are no more Blank/Double Gameweeks.

      He might get the odd rest, but there are still four games to go. He isn't getting rested for all of them. Liverpool aren't in the World Club Cup either so Salah is going to get a break over summer too.

      GW38 is probably the worse GW to BB. A couple years ago I only got one more point than I would otherwise have got in GW38 using that chip. Two of my bench players would have come on as autosubs anyway, another didn't feature, and the other was a 1 point cameo.

    As a S frican with no real affiliation I loved Liverpool in the 80's Barnes and Rush and the way they played the game.
    The 90's though I spent some months in London mingling with Arsenal supporters and then Wenger arrived and I witnessed a style of football never seen . So I had found my home and a gunner ever since , that said You'l never Walk Alone remains the iconic emotional go to in all of football.
    So WD Liverpool !!

      PL in first season is pretty great right.

      Shows that it was the right time for Klopp to move on, these fine players had more gas in the tank and needed a fresh voice.

      Would have been nice if they could have done ir for Klopp but Liverpool fans in dreamland regardless.

      Really great team, will go down as one of the best in the PL era (over last 6 years).

      Just shame they didnt have more of a challenger this year!

        Very good team but "one of the best in PL era" is a bit far-fetched. 1 x covid title and then this year's where they've had no genuine competition since Christmas is nothing to shout about. If they go on to win a few more then they're in the conversation of "one of the best in PL era"

    Didnt have Sa or Trips, but my balls deep pick of Cunha (C) was just what the doctor ordered.

    Interesting FH. Most people done well. I just set the team last Sunday morning and didnt touch save to move Kerkez to TAA.

    Going forward want to maintain this momentum.

    Had a good week with a 100 points yet I feel FPL is more boring than ever.

    It’s turned into a risk minimising game similar to investing in ETFs, where ”beating the index” by a tiny bit every week is the way forward. Not sure I’ll play next season tbh.

      TBF it's always been this way , it's only the odd game that get's you well up the ranks then it become largely a boring grind . But learn to enjoy the grind as is a large part of achieving your goals / winning or getting into the money in your MLs

        Its been a really strange season for FPL. Mo's been on another planet but everyone else feels like they're lagging. Probably only going to get 5 players breaking 200 points and nobody bar Mo is going to break 250 probably which I'd have to do some digging but that feels really low.

        Very interested to see what they do with pricing next season because if you were going off this season Mo, Mbeumo and Isak would obviously be due rises. Some of the cheap ones like Kluivert are due rises and I'm expecting the striker pool generally to rise slightly to reflect the meta of them getting greater rewards from this bonus system than before but at the top end Haaland, Watkins, Solanke, players like that are probably due a drop. Forest defence obviously due a rise but beyond that I don't know, some of the premium ones might drop if anything. Some of the big names assets have had shockers for varying reasons and surely one or two of them are due a drop - Foden, Palmer?, Haaland etc

    The AM chip has de railed my whole season. Always planned a FH gwk 34 but dropped the AM gwk 32 on Glasner without thinking. Now left with BB and FH and solid plan. Someone stroke my head and tell me everything will be fine ?
