The final and third-place playoff for our latest FFS Members Cup will take place in Gameweek 38, where the final four Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are competing for a £300 prize fund.

A tournament for Premium Members, this is independent of those you can see on the official FPL website.

We’ll bring you the latest results in this article, with a full breakdown of prizes towards the bottom.

FFS MEMBERS CUP

A complete list of semi-final results

Beginning most rounds as the lowest-ranked manager, schnuggi is now used to beating higher-ups.

He’s risen from 5.68 million before Gameweek 30’s qualifiers to a current 2.63 million position, this time overcoming Real Rootsy (88k). This despite making an Assistant Manager mistake: he sold Oliver Glasner’s 10 points for Graham Potter’s one!

Both possessed a 15-point Friday night defender and benefited from Yoane Wissa’s haul. Their captains each saw five points doubled. Instead, the 69-67 encounter was decided by Real Rootsy benching a double Arsenal clean sheet.

Meanwhile, the second semi-final wasn’t quite as close. Rossaldinho beat DavidCuz 70-60, partly because of owning two Aston Villa shut-outs. His captaincy of Morgan Rogers also bettered Cole Palmer.

There wasn’t even a punishment for benching David Raya, as DavidCuz agonisingly sidelined Jorgen Strand Larsen’s 11 points.

What could be decisive in this final is that 64k-ranked Rossaldinho not only rolled his Gameweek 37 transfer but he’s still got a Bench Boost to use, while schnuggi’s Assistant Manager has just expired.

Looking at their Gameweek 37 squads, neither had Mohamed Salah, but there are some key attacking differences.

MIDFIELDERSFORWARDS
ROSSALDINHOSaka, BowenHaaland, Wood
SCHNUGGIDe Bruyne, TrossardIsak, Watkins

Good luck to both Rossaldinho and schnuggi, with there also being Real Rootsy v DavidCuz in the third-place playoff.

HOW DO THE CUP COMPETITIONS WORK?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round were randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a draw, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

WHAT IS THE GAMEWEEK SCHEDULE?

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following proposed Gameweek schedule, though this could be subject to change.

Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup Round Dates

  • Qualifying – Gameweek 30
  • Round 1 – Gameweek 31
  • Round 2 – Gameweek 32
  • Round 3 – Gameweek 33
  • Round 4 – Gameweek 34
  • Round 5 – Gameweek 35
  • Quarter-Final – Gameweek 36
  • Semi-Finals – Gameweek 37
  • Final and third place play-off – Gameweek 38

WHEN ARE THE FIXTURES RELEASED?

Where possible, the fixture list for each round will be published before each Gameweek deadline.

PRIZES

The prizes for both cups are as follows:

1st Place: £150 Amazon voucher
2nd Place: £100 Amazon voucher

In another I need to make up a 5 point deficit.

Congratulations to Ange Postecoglou with Tottenham Hotspurs win against Manchester United first trophy Europa League
since win against Chelsea in the League Cup final 2008. Also, gaining Champions league place & on paper
a much better season than Mikel Arteta at Arsenal

I'm please for him as state wins something in second season which the press took out of context.
Dilemma - should he stay or should he go - your thoughts.

    a. YES

Negative is the Premier League position & over half of Spurs fans wanted him to go.
if he stays but starts next season poorly will be sack - go now after personal social media attacks & stock will be high

    b. NO

Positive with winning a trophy, extra money from Champions League be able to strengthen his team
beating Manchester United four times in a season only time United been beaten four times - Spurs
first eleven if fit can match anyone.

A vase vs Cunha or Gyokeres?
If you factor in league prize money, probably both.

Last few GWs of every season are such a bore-fest when you have a poor rank and nothing to play for...

On contrast, the excitement gets doubled if you are close to a decent rank.

Fun? The fact that you won't be stressing out as to whether you're crowned king of your ML or will have to go and live in a cave in shame for a month? My rank is so bad and with so many numbers it would qualify as a really strong password. May be too late this season for you, but I usually end up with a chip to play which gives me something to think about. Otherwise, just go with the flow, enjoy the matches, get ready to take down the decorations because next season will be here soon enough.

I used to watch matches because of FPL. I have no interest in watching any sports or other stuff if there is nothing in it for me.

I'm on FH with my team already set. Cant bother to put more effort, what would a top 1m rank make a difference instead of top 2m.

Nothing shameful about competing and losing in ML, your strategy/picks just didnt worked.

Salah's my Capo at the weekend as it's going to be an exhibition game at Anfield. The two most successful teams in English football this season will be playing with carefree gay abandon on Sunday and I prognosticate a 4:3 win for Liverpool and a Salah haul.

One of Spurs issues is its a squad chocka block full of injury prone players. You can call some of that unlucky, certainly Solanke was a 38 game player before he joined them, but it a lot of it is known bad genetics and a style of football (not evident last night to be fair) which increases the load on those who werent already injury prone. They'll have 5 or 6 missing by the time the first CL game comes, you can set your watch by the likes of Maddison, Son, Richi etc being crocked

    1. Sheffield Wednesday
      • 5 Years

Micky van de Ven's speed & size means he's always prone to hamstring issues too.

Agree; made worse by a run of bad luck, but too many too often and as you've pointed out, some players just are injury prone and Spurs seems to attract them. I'm a rubbish FFL manager, but I try and avoid them when starting the season - the likes of James etc are great when on song, and fun to watch but you know they WILL get injured.

Depends on your ML position plus ownership within your league .
      Watkins probably best if chasing
Salah or Bowen to play safe & holding especially if rivals don't have Watkins .
For what it's worth rate my team goes Salah , Bowen & then Watkins .

Similar problem. Have Salah and Watkins. Considering moving KDB to Bowen, which doesn't help the decision. Salah is due but in poor form, but does still want those finishing stats. Bowen - it's Ipswich. Villa still have something to play for, and I guess it's a question of whether there's a dying bite in Man Utd this season.

8 returns in last 11 games and United are awful, does have a low ceiling though
