Goals + assists imminent! Who is ‘due’ in FPL Gameweek 11?

You’ve probably heard about Joe’s much-liked ‘Goals Imminent’ table. You might listen to his and Marc’s Fantasy Football Scout podcast of the same name. Now, Goals Imminent is here in article form!

Heading towards Gameweek 11 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL), these Members Area statistics identify some underachieving players who look ‘due’ for a goal and/or assist.

Naturally, we’ll attempt to assess whether they’re unlucky, suffering a rare blip, or just aren’t particularly good.

LAST WEEK’S SUCCESSES

FPL notes: Gyokeres injury, Saka's chances + another Gabriel haul 1

Saturday brought mixed news for Viktor Gyokeres‘ (£9.0m) owners. He scored for the first time in six matches, which could’ve kept him on this week’s table, but a half-time withdrawal meant the Arsenal forward has only racked up seven shots in our investigative period.

We also predicted some Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.3m) joy. Nottingham Forest had only netted once in seven league games, but his header ended such humiliation.

Mohamed Salah (£14.2m) and Bruno Fernandes (£8.9m) appeared on both tables and duly delivered. The Egyptian scored for a second successive match, whereas Manchester United’s playmaker set up the City Ground opener.

Also assisting were Phil Foden (£8.0m) and Bruno Guimaraes (£6.6m).

GOALS IMMINENT

The first table shows players who’ve accumulated at least eight shots over the latest four Gameweeks, but scored no more than one goal.

      Why would anyone want to use up Arsenal slot on Saka Rice Gyo etc
      Triple def is the way
      Plus we have Haaland perma cap, Saka on 10m, pufffh
      Better boost up your def with that money

        fixtures after the int break getting tougher from a defensive point of view but not really from an attacking pov. double defence + an attacker probably better

          For the whole season, triple def is still the best.
          Saka will absolutely beat Arsenal def by point at the end of season, but not on value wise

        More like Timber Saliba Gabriel and from of Rice/Zubi and of course not forgetting the wingers and the keeper and Calafiori of course. In short its the entire 11 since the striker defends from the front as well.

              Although I still think Rice will be better longer term than Cala. Calafiori is a bit of an injury prone player and we have Hincapie and Lewis Skelly who will eventually start getting game time.

    As an Arsenal fan, its crazy feeling awkward during the pen decision today reason being not wanting to concede a goal. I still think we would eventually concede but this teams' defensive organization is absolutely world class.

          I think the least we conceded (progressing on record) the better is the chance to win the league. Its related tho
          When Mou Chelsea often won 1-0, up until December I think the chance to win the league already hit 80-90%

            We still need to keep playing fit, particularly Gabriel, Rice/Zubi, Saliba and Timber. These guys are the bedrock of this team. There are a lot of injuries happening, something has to be done eventually.

    Does it make sense to FH before GW16?

    Following the Gameweek 15 Deadline on Sat 6 Dec 13:30 and ahead of Gameweek 16 on Sat 13 Dec 13:30, Managers will be topped up to the maximum of 5 free transfers, regardless of how many transfers are available to them at that point.

    They do not need to be used in Gameweek 16, they can be carried over between Gameweeks and used at any time.

        Your FT resets when playing FH. And we get a new FH after new year. So to avoid erasing your given FTs from afcon you should play it before or at least use them all before
