While we’re still largely in the dark on the extent of Sergio Aguero’s knee injury, sustained after nine minutes of Sunday’s 3-2 win for City, there were developments post-match which offer some further insight.

Aguero put down the frozen peas long enough to turn to his Twitter feed and update on the state of his knee injury, offering a semblance of reassurance…

“The studies I had done revealed there’s no significant injury but it was a very tough hit to my knee.”

He then went on to confirm that a full prognosis is likely within the next 24-hours, with City medical staff presumably waiting for the swelling to reduce before making their assessment…

“Tomorrow, the physicians will evaluate the time it will take for me to recover.”

The buzz on the social network site follows quotes from Roberto Mancini which expressed concern for the injured striker.

“I am worried about Sergio because anything around the knee is dangerous and this injury was so strange. We will have to wait, but we are not sure exactly what the problem is at this point… It was so strange because there was no issue with the tackle. It was not a strong tackle, and Sergio wanted to play on…Maybe he is out for a week, or three or four weeks, or until after the international break. We have to see.”

Meanwhile, City’s skipper Vincent Kompany has backed Edin Dzeko to step up should Aguero face a prolonged spell on the sidelines…

“Any team which loses a player like Sergio will have to deal with a blow. But I remember last season that we had to miss out on Carlos (Tevez) for a long time and we managed to cope all right…I obviously hope Sergio won’t be injured for that long but I just go back to last season when we had to cope with these kinds of issues. It’s not a surprise that Edin Dzeko scored.”

The Daily Mail have jumped the gun somewhat and proclaimed that Aguero will return to action “within weeks” but the truth is, until City declare the results of scans, expected today, we can only speculate on the likely length of absence.

Aguero is clearly a doubt for the trip to Liverpool this weekend and, with an international break looming after Gameweek 3, it could be that City are handed the opportunity to give Ageuro a decent recovery time with a return in Gameweek 4.

Plenty of Fantasy managers reacted to yesterday’s events with an immediate transfer. Aguero has been sold by almost 40,000 managers in the Fantasy Premier League game, more than any other player. With Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie on show this evening, we can surely expect heavy transfer activity involving Aguero to come.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

This is how United is going to line up tonight in all probability.

    ------------------------DDG----------------------
    ----Rafael-----Vidic-----Carrick-----Evra---
    --Valencia---Clevs-----Scholes------Nani--
    -------------------Kagawa--------------------------
    -----------------------Rooney----------------------

Any fellow United fans here? Just wanted to say Cmon United!

Lots of press saying RVP will start, but I'm thinking along those lines too. Possibly Young over Nani. And if he doesn't want to start Kagawa, we could wee Welbeck.

Hopefully we don't fall apart in this one, like the end of last season.

      UNITED!

...and more importantly Kagawa! (don't have him in my team yet but as a Jap, can't be more excited!)

Team looks good although I heard people speculating that Tony V will start at RB.

Guesswork at the moment as the rules may have changed - used to be approx 25% of ownership if a player is flagged so he may not drop at all.

when Chelsea buy a rb he won't be nailed on. I will likely keep him GW3 and bench him unless something changes. But Baines is the man, good cs chance, on set-pieces and pens, and gets forward.

Is it ridiculous to triple up on Swansea?
Already have Rangel and Graham and plan on bringing Michu in.
I don't normally bandwagon but Michu looked great and has awesome fixtures.

If I do bring in Michu, do kick out Pienaar or N'Zogbia?
Obviously I'll wait til after the United game but if Pienaar also has a lacklustre start, it'll be tough to decide between Pienaar, the safe option but with bad fixtures or N'Zog, a gamble but with more potential and easier fixtures.

Cheers Bubbles, they're definitely the best fixtures we'll see all season.

N'Zog could be awesome value but AVL looked poor.

Both have decent enoguh fixtures themselves. But if you want to make the trade, probably N'Zog, imo. It was only one game I know, but apparently Villa didn't look particularly threatening. May take Lambert more time than we think to introduce some attacking flair to Villa.

Villa definitely didn't show the attacking potential that was hyped up in preseason surrounding Lambert.

Disagree with Everton's fixtures though. 5 out their next 7 games are away from home including tough trips to Swansea and the Hawthornes as well as home to Newcastle.

    Aguero Petric Torres

Aguero is dropping and Tevez is away to 'Pool next GW. Im tempted to go Aguero to a United Striker and Play Torres and Rooney/VP in GW2 with Torres to Tevez in GW3. I think this will return more points but i will miss out on the rises. What do you's think?

Adkins didn't see the point of having him chasing the ball. City were always going to boss the possesion. Tactically brilliant really. He made sure we were still in the game then brought on our best player full of running to make a big impact. Strange line of thinking I know but it obviously worked!

    Team is Federici Vorm

    A.) Sell N'Zogbia for Michu

If they don't get a striker I will get him for Torres, otherwise I'll get Kagawa for Lamps

Yeah, I just found it strange being 3.5m and not 3m. Probably just playing it safe.

It seems to have updated the points in the total, just not the individual. All my players from yesterday are listed at having 0, but they've been added to the total.

It's a horrible game. I played it all last season as I was in the top 50 but it's such a poor site and has no decent stats or info. I think I might just leave it.

Oh that. Disturbing. I watched it on youtube.

Not that it's an excuse, but by the time the miners were killed they had already murdered two policemen and did not respond to a watercanon. Video footage taken from Police chopper indicated the minders were busy with "rituals before going to war". Next thing they charge the police with pistols, crowbars and machetes.

What the feck were they expecting?

              No idea.

I only caught the end of a quick video on the news and just saw a shed load of police firing into a crowd of men. Didn't know what the hell was going on!

Quick a quick question for you all, as you obviously put a lot of time and thought into FF. How much money have you got riding on it? Like leeague entry amounts or other bets?
