It’s amazing what a couple of Gameweek 1 goals can do for your Fantasy price. Michu’s arrival to the Premier League was relatively low-key this summer, yet the new Swansea man had racked up 15 goals in La Liga last time round – more than any other midfielder in Spain’s top-flight. Now that he’s hit the ground running with a brace at QPR, the bandwagon has been in overdrive; as a result, Michu has already climbed 0.3 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and, rather conveniently, stolen the headlines away from this week’s differential pick…

Danny Graham’s Fantasy owners have every right to feel aggrieved after last weekend’s blank. With a change in tactics by Michael Laudrup also helping Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge to two goals and two assists respectively, surely an assist wasn’t too much to ask? It wasn’t to be, however, and as the midfielders racked up the points and resultant Fantasy interest, the former Watford man has been overlooked heading into a run of games that sees Swansea play at home five times in the next seven Gameweeks.

There’s plenty of reason to be positive, though. Graham arrived at Loftus Road ahead of the season opener as the top-scoring Premier League player across the pre-season friendlies, grabbing six goals in his final three matches and, prior to the season’s kick-off, a thoroughly-impressed Laudrup revealed he expected his lone forward to comfortably pass the 12 goals accrued in the previous campaign:

“Every day the connection between Danny and Michu looks better and better and we can expect a lot from them. I don’t know what Danny’s record is, but if he stays fit I would say he can score between 15 and 20 goals in the Premier League.”

As the Swans continue their summer friendly form to find the net with a remarkable ease, Graham’s chances of producing in a flourishing attacking unit clearly haven’t diminished after a single Gameweek. Earlier today, Laudrup revealed he has spoken to his wide men, suggesting Graham was left too isolated up front at Loftus Road – a detail he’s sure his side will rectify, starting at home to West Ham tomorrow.

With (SUN, EVE, EDG, WIG) all following the Hammers to the Liberty between Gameweeks 3-8, Graham – priced at 6.0 in FPL and 8.4 in the Sky Sports game, sits with just 7% ownership heading into Saturday’s match. While over 170,000 Fantasy managers have called on the services of Michu, Graham has been transferred in by just 7,000 despite an exceptional run of fixtures. If Swansea pick up where they left off at Loftus Road tomorrow, Graham could well be off the mark and on his way to justifying his manager’s high praise.

Bit of help please guys. I need to get rid of Ireland and get some Swansea coverage - is Michu worth the difference from Dyer or should I go for the cheap option with Dyer??

Also I've got far too many Reading and Chelsea players but really want Hazard - Is it worth getting Hazard for this week (Mata out) or just wait for gw4? If I don't get Hazard - should I take out Mata so I have more players playing gw3 - if so who for - Nasri?? Help!!!

Should have done Michu on Sat dude to catch the rise......Hazard is a great option but will cause you a problem or two next week. Play Mata, could be a great differencial.

Suppose it comes down to who I should have for this week:

      A> Ireland & Mata
      B> Dyer & Mata
      C> Ireland & Nasri
      D> Ireland & Hazard
      E> Dyer & Hazard (4pt hit)
      F> Dyer & Nasri (4pt hit)

E/F would mean I have a full swuad for gw3 otherwise only 10 playing

Currently none of the 4.0m keepers are first choice, but considering things like which first choice keepers are likely to get dropped or injured, who would be the best 4.0m keeper if you had to have one?

    It's panic time.
Vdv at 96% to fall, going at a rate that is very likely to fall.
I have vdv and exactly 0.5 in the bank.

Very tempted to do vdv to bale (c) and have a good captain choice plus no headaches/ulcers in the next 4-5 weeks, despite the fact it will cost me 4 points.

    Should I do it?

There's a small chance he won't drop; only three hours till price changes. He SHOULD figure tomorrow even if he doesn't start, which he may. If he plays, you've got to fancy him to do something.

      I'm holding tight, I think...

    1) Sell A. Cole for Walker

    2) Sell Nasri for Bale

Sorry boys I know this has probably been discussed to death... but should I go RVP or Roon? Thinking RVP has the advantage of playing further up the pitch and also being a goal scoring beast but Roon has pens and scores well at home usually. Leaning toward the Dutchman, should I go with him or can anyone present a compelling enough case for the fatman to change my mind?

I have agonised over this and currently have 3.0m in the bank... which I will spend on neither. They are both over priced. Sure, they will probably score very well but more than 2 upgraded players elsewhere?

Graham was playing higher up the pitch than both Dyer and Michu last week, in both games Torres was higher up than Ivan so that doesn't always count.

I agree it's such a tough decision, I have 2.5m in bank so can get Rooney but will have to take a hit for the Dutchman. Seems I don't have much of a choice.

Good luck anyway what ever your choice 🙂
