A programme of six Premier League matches begins at St James’ Park where Newcastle host champions Man City in the early kick-off. Five three o’clock matches follow, with United’s home clash with Sunderland and Liverpool’s encounter with Villa the headline acts for Fantasy managers, as Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Luis Suarez take up the armband for the majority. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to capture the highs and lows of the day as the action unfolds.

The team news from the North East finds Hatem Ben Arfa missing out for the Magpies through injury – James Perch replaces the Frenchman in a move that looks to shore up the Newcastle midfield, with Jonas Gutierrez shifting forward as part of a 4-3-3. As for City, they are without skipper Vincent Kompany as expected, with Kolo Toure drafted in to replace him. Mario Balotelli is also discarded, with Carlos Tevez earning a start, while Javi Garcia replaces the suspended Gareth Barry.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm not keen on RVP and Rooney double up at all.

Aguero makes more sense to me than Rooney (Although I got on Aguero about 10 weeks to early) 😀

i think either could work, but i see united scoring more goals than city currently which would make me lean toward the double up (if i were to do it). and you always have the option of doing roo-> aguero if necessary

Yeah surprised that his midfield is the same mine is at the moment.

Sterling and Puncheon have worked well for me past few weeks, but I am now looking to bin Sterling after next week and if one wildcard and with the doubt for starting today, would have got rid of him now.

Think Allen at 4.9, is potentially more value now (as will be playing more advanced now, will get a few goals and assists here and there).

allen is a horrible shout. if you got sterling in at a decent price (close to 5mil) id keep him. plays so much further advanced and offers far more threat

I got Sterling at 4.5 which is why I'm not pulling the trigger on Allen.

With Lucas back, Allen will play more advanced now. Got 4 goals and 4 assist for Swansea last year.

He'll definitely get his share and at 4.8 he is reasonable shout I reckon.

I think he's a brilliant finisher but last year he got in behind the defence a lot to get the chances. This season there hasn't been enough creativity from the midfield to let him take shots 1 on 1 imo, let alone chances in the box in general. To be fair at that time Ba wasn't hogging the shots as he was playing on the left.....

ppl who wanna get rid of sterling.. if you bought him @ 4.7 and below he's still unbelievable value no matter what his actual price is.. gettin rid for another cheapie just seems pointless (tryin to console myself for gettin rid of puncheon instead of sterlign for michu 🙁 )

I take it Mancini hasn't looked at that stat, 100% record when Kun & Tevez have started together.
