Aided by the new “Advanced Filtering Options“ available in the Members Area, we take a look at the top OPTA performers over the last four Gameweeks and highlight the players who excelled in various aspects of the game. Whether you’re a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Manager tinkering with your wildcard before next Tuesday evening’s deadline, or just weighing up potential transfers, the stats can help highlight who is maintaining that promising form, or who is fading out fast as February approaches.
I would be the FIRST to hope that your posts claiming to be first aren't rightfully deleted by the moderators.
Very handy article for us yet-to-wildcardersOpen ControlsNext time u will be first.
What happened with your WC? I have 4 drafts already and I am on 70 30% to use it GW 26. I hope this WC u will do better, not like the previous one.
Cheers,Open ControlsI have a nice one ready to be played before GW27. A little different to the usual you see on here so not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
Open ControlsI am gonna gamble without Utd players. They have City, Che Liv so I think it worth.
Open ControlsI've been thinking that too Daniel, but the 1.3m profit on Nani is putting me off.
Open Controls1.3? That can't be real. What is your selling price? I have 0.4 profit and I can cope with that.
Considering your nickname I think it is worth a shoot. I hope for a Che draw so he won't have a double. IT will easy my decision.Open Controls
Using it GW26:
Pros - Gives you the option of a free double transfer in GW28
- Liverpool, United and Fulham fixtures toughen up, good time to get rid
- Many other teams hit a soft run of fixtures
Cons - Rivals who haven't used their WC by GW26 can copy you
- You won't be able to tweak your DGW team to the max, as there might be injuries and info on rotation between GW26 and 27Open ControlsIt is a bit of a Sophie's choice - I'm going to play safe though (yawn) and hold it. Can't afford to bugger it up.
Open ControlsI will save a transfer this week, do a double next week and use WC in GW27, because the cons outweigh the pros for me.
Open ControlsGW 26 it is. I don't care id someone can copy me.

8)
Open Controls
Foster (Gordon)
Vidic Kolarov Pantsil (Coleman, Nelsen)
Nasri VDV Nani(c) Adam (N'Zogbia)
RVP Tevez Berbatov
Bank 1.5
2 free transfers and wildcard #2 available
My 109 points got a battering by my rival's 129 last week :(.
Thinking...
N'Zogbia --> Dempsey (for a couple of weeks)
Nelsen/Kolarov --> Djourou or Kelly
Then WC in GW27... thoughts?Open Controls2 transfers after double when everybody are making hits? Why mate why?
Nice team BTW and nice ranking. Its time for another wasted transfer IMO. So what u have a great team. And look that team value? WOWOpen ControlsI should have used my free transfer last week to bring in a Liverpool defender but I took my eye off the ball, so to speak. Now my lead is cut to 1 point in my league so I need to score big over the next few weeks.
Can't make my mind up regarding who to bring in though - N'Zogbia and Kolarov have been useless for me and I feel no urge to keep them.Open ControlsThen let me urge you!
You have to keep N'zogbia, he will get the points we have been waiting for, the next two rounds.Open Controls
red bull or 5 hour energy?
Open ControlsYAAAASSSSSS mon Andy Murray 😀 😀
Open ControlsJust gave away my whole WCteam there SirP!
Open ControlsThere is an element of that to it, but thankfully only Members can read the article (I hope)
Open ControlsWhat dya reckon Atilla, any chance of a Toon cleanie GW27? or swap Simpson for Carr?
Open ControlsPredicting Newcastle clean sheets is a little difficult
NO CLEAN SHEET: BLA, WIG, STK
CLEAN SHEET: eve, ars
I think Carr is probably a safer choice but I wouldnt take a point hit to do it.Open ControlsMight stick with Simpson, as I'd have 3 ars 1 tot and 2 brum not playing gw28. damn fixture minefield
Open Controls
Why is there so little love for Tevez on the captain poll? City are playing Birmingham who just shipped 5 to United, and Tevez has had some monster scores away from home this year. Arsenal are playing Everton who tend to perform well in the big games and United are playing a resurgent Villa. Just me?
Open ControlsI'm definitely considering him.
Open ControlsUnited might win, Arsenal might win City might win.........the choice is yours!!!!
Open ControlsTrue Tevez has been good on the road, but Birmingham can be tough at home and will be on a high from Wednesday night.
Open ControlsThey don't tend to concede as many at home as they do away. Utds game was 5-0 at home whereas when they played Birmingham away it was 1-1.
He's definitely a consideration but mine is between Torres and Berbatov I think.Open Controls+1
Let's not forget the Chelsea game.Open Controls
Fabregas is going to come good. Soon.
Four games without a goal...Open ControlsFabregas is too much of a gamble. Yes he can be awesome, but getting him seriously weakens the rest of my wildcard side. Besides I think Nasri and RVP should be enough Arsenal coverage.
However the other thought is that no-one above me in my minileague has got him in and he could potentially be a game saver. Hmmm. Tough choices.Open ControlsI see your point Atilla. My post was more in response to andy85wsm re an alternative capt choice this gw.
Not many can afford the lot of VDV/Fabregas/Nani/tevez/RVP/Berba so I think Fab might be a good "differential" capt if he comes good this week.Open ControlsI can 😀 rest of the team is pretty disgusting though
Open Controls+1
Same here.
I'm happy to go with Hughes(he will be downgraded soon)/djourou/coleman/bardsley/kelly at the back since I will have nani/fab/VDV/brunt/adam/tevez/berba/rvp as my front 8.Open ControlsNot sure what the best combination is, haven't started wildcard tinkering yet but I'd be wary of Djourou and Kelly's long term starting roles and Bardsley's fixtures. Not that there's a wealth of choice in that price range
Open Controls
Sorry was just hoofing in at the mention of Fabregas. It's the one issue that is really worrying me about my wildcard side. I keep looking at it as a thing of beauty until I see Nasri not Fabbers in midfield.
Open Controls
Birmingham have lost... once? at home in a year. The 5-0 thrashing at United was a bit of a shock.
Their FA Cup game is against Coventry at home so they won't be that tired as many will no doubt get a rest.
Meanwhile Aston Villa have to play Blackburn which is a far tougher game while United get a nice rest against Southampton.
Then you have Arsenal who will have an easy game against Huderfield while Everton have to play Chelsea. If Everton want to win anything this year they'll HAVE to field a full strength team in that game so I can see Arsenal destroying them.
Likewise I think Torres (if still present) will do some severe damage against Stoke. They have no game over the weekend, are at home and Stoke have no shawcross in their defence.
There many options better than Tevez in my opnion.Open Controlsstoke will have shawcross and either way the man is a absolute donkey against pace so all the more reason to captain torres
Open ControlsI've the (c) set on Torres *should ring alarms for everyone else* but am now worried about this transfer business. 😕
Open Controlsif i had torres i'd do the same. yeah this transfer stuff ruining the hilariously over-hyped dalglish liverpool turnaround. you beat bottom of the table wolves 😯 and stumbled to a win home to fulham yeah we lost to blackpool but so what
Open ControlsIt is a good bit overhyped. They have been performing better though. I really think I might get Meireles in the Wildcard, he's been doing well lately and looks a good player.
Open Controlsive seen meireles mentioned a few times here so it looks like he's tempting a few people. i fear he may be the essien/modric type whose quality doesn't materialise into fpl points. its always hard to tell with liverpool's midfield as they rotate a lot (might have to check the heat/average position maps) but i think meireles may have been almost the attacking mid in front of gerrard and poulson. he definitely gets forward a bit.
could be a good differential for you though pretty sure his ownership will stay nice and smallOpen ControlsI can't see many going for him, and the games I've watched he's always been in attacking positions so I'll rummage round the stats before leaping on. If they get Adam though I wont bother.
Open Controls
Ryan Shawcross is serving a 2 game suspension (second red of the season) so will miss the FA Cup and Liverpool fixtures.
Open Controlsah fair enough.
...nothing to see here 😉Open Controls

Opinions for GW 25 please guys:
Hart (Carson)
Hangeland Coleman Bardsley (Foley / Simpson)
Nasri VDV Giggs Adam Nani
Berba Tevez Van Persie
Cheers!Open ControlsSorry, Adam is on Bench aswell..
Open ControlsPersonally not a fan of Giggs in there, there's a lot of value around that price range
Open Controls
Great article by the way guys, class act.
Open ControlsSo can people c Torres going 2 Chelsea before Monday? or been left 2 late? i cant c pool letting him go
Open ControlsNo!!
Open Controls
Afternoon all. Hows my team look for this week.
Foster
Vidic Samba Coleman
Nasri Walcott Nani Adam
Tevez Torres Dj
Bench Robinson Skrtel Nzog Foley
Not sure if u should play foster and Samba or Robinson and Skrtel ?
Any thoughts ?Open Controlsplay skrtel ahead of coleman and foster ahead of robbo since u already have blackburn def cover in samba.
Open Controlsdon't like coleman in there.......and nasri AND Walcott might be overkill......
Open ControlsSounds good cheers. Now if only I could choose a decent captain once
Open ControlsSee Boom that is THREE people who have asked about captaincy or mentioned it since you changed the grammar of your tagline. When I'm right I'm right. 😉
Open Controls
i would play skrtel ahead of samba and coleman
Open Controls
Just gonna throw it out there, but United have never lost when I've been to Old Trafford...I'm going on Tuesday...
Also I said last week whenever I resign Torres he scores and he did 🙂
Which suggests he'll do nothing this week 😉Open Controlshttp://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/entryhist.mc?id=24685
I'm captaining Van Persie and making no changes. The right move?Open ControlsI forgot to add, barring any injuries at the weekend...
Open ControlsSounds reasonable with some weird gameweeks to come. I think ill do the same! It seems hard to find a really good move this week 😉
Did'nt get any suggestions when i asked the same questions yesterday 😉Open ControlsYeah I can't see any immediate concerns. I'm playing Baines against Arsenal and Robinson against Tottenham so I'm expecting both of them to concede, but that's pretty much unavoidable. There's no need start messing with things and taking hits just because of that.
Open Controls
it's tempting. the goojbaps almost make him a safe option
Open Controls
My Team this week.
Robinson (Foster)
Crainey Kelly Huth (Williamson, Elmohamady)
Fabregas Adam Nani VDV (Baler)
Berbatov VPersie(c) Bent
What do we think? I still have my 2nd WCOpen Controlsalways play the mummy?
Open Controls
Hi guys,
Hart
Evra Coleman Bardsley
Nani VDV Adam N'Zogbia
Rooney Torres(c) Varney
Robinson Samba Alcaraz
Any suggestions?
I know the defence is pretty rotten but trying to save WC till DGW so would rather make 1 poss. 2 changes to this motley crew to get in shape for GW 25 & 26.
All help will be very much appreciated as I had gradually made up an 80 point deficit on my brother over the course of about 12 weeks for a massive chunk of it to be lost again last week :'(Open ControlsGood team i would maybe look 2 get kelly from Pool in and start him instead o Coleman or Bardsley
Open ControlsYou think? I thought it would be laughed at tbh.....too many players not hitting form and gave up my old mantra of thinking guys would come good just coz I had picked 'em.
Open ControlsYeh i think a good team we not bad fixures etc apart from defence but if got Kelly in and benched Coleman or Bardsley. Will def do ok this week then can use wildcard nxt gw or before gw27 deadline thats my plan
Open Controls
I'd get rid of Bardsley. Sunderland have tough fixtures until GW32. Kelly would be a good option for this week but they have Chelsea away next week so maybe Djourou would be better.
Open Controls
Do i need a swap or just leave and do 2 nxt week?
Reina
Vidic,Evatt,Hangeland
Nasri,Nani,Adam,Nzogbia,
TORRES,Berba,Tevez.
Kolorov,Foley,AlbrightonOpen ControlsI have just read that Van Der Saar is out for this GW,
Who should I bring in?Open ControlsHe out o Fa cupo game so should be back for Villa midweek would think
Open ControlsVan der Sar sitting out the trip to the south coast in order to be fresh for Tuesday's Premier League encounter, he may get his chance ahead of Tomasz Kuszczak.
Open ControlsLindegaard is yet to play a competitive game for United since his arrival from Aalesunds but with Van der Sar sitting out the trip to the south coast in order to be fresh for Tuesday's Premier League encounter, he may get his chance ahead of Tomasz Kuszczak.
Open Controls
Is this a pisstake? I've seen a couple of things on twitter suggesting that Gary Neville is going to get Anddy Gray's job 😯
Open Controlsprobably a piss take. Who you seeing that from?
Open ControlsIf that happens – one more reason not to get sky
Open Controlsmy dad said that last night and i thought it was the random ballacks he comes up with like chelsea are after danny graham, arsenal are after marvin sordell etc. where's it from?
Open ControlsSky should poach Kirsteen O'Sullivan from Tv3, definitely the prettiest lass that presents football shows.
http://content.tv3.ie/content/images/0137/kirsteen21_51039.jpgOpen ControlsI cant stand a womans voice commentating on football, does my head in but even that would be better than Neville!
Open Controlsshe's too skinny
anyways they just ripped of espn's pretty girl idea, she does bugger all on the show except for nice eye candy and reading out ridiculous viewer emails and comments
most of the comments and txts are absolute gayballs
but im not complaining 🙂Open Controls
Is everyone binning Kolarov when they WC for GW 27?
Open Controlshe's going to sit on the bench and think about what a naughty boy he's been
Open Controls
Havent been around much this week so i beg your pardon if i missed the news but is Spurs - Arsenal 100% off or can it still be rescheduled for later that midweek?
Open Controlsimo i think wenger and arsenal will want to keep a local derby and their first final and years more than 3 days apart. i don't know how much power clubs have to pick and choose in these matters
Open Controls
is it just me or is Dawson an incredibly good buy considering Tottenham's awesome run of games?
Open ControlsThought strongly about him, then realised that Hutton is probably a better option, then thought bugger Spurs at the back I'll look at Coleman instead
Open Controlshe's part of my planned merri-go-round
gw26 dawson in
gw28 coleman in for dawson
gw29 dawson in for r.johnsonOpen ControlsWhatever happened to Jagelika/ Evans/ Dawson?
Open ControlsYou mean Jagelika/ Evans/ Dawson/ Konchesky doncha? 🙂
I had Jags for weeks, I think the highest he got me was 2.Open ControlsJagelika/ Evans/ Dawson was the FFS pre season defence of choice - look how well that one went! 😉
Open ControlsDawson was ok until he was crocked, jeez I had some faulty bandwagons in the side.
I remember my first post on here was a RMT (inevitably) and I was hooted at for daring to include Rafael, how times do change. 🙂Open ControlsOkay, perhaps not a cockup of boselli proportions then
Open Controls
evans did alright. he got the phone-in: 6,0,6.
i thought dawson was good value at 5.5 so now t 5.1 he's really tempting meOpen Controls
curtis davies will be 4.9mil btw. not sure he'd be worth the 0.2 saved over r.johnson though. i guess it may be the end of the murphy 3.9mil dream though. foch was right to doubt that one
Open Controlsim guna pay the extra for johnson, if dann returns with 3-4 games to play i dont want to have to waste a transfer getting rid of davies at that stage of teh season when every transfer is even more important
thats why my wc team is guna be full of players unlikely to be dropped
going for djourou kelly etc is asking for trouble imoOpen Controlssame. johnson's finally started scoring those goals he was meant to be scoring last season after his championship exploits. seems the most likely to get baps in the brum defence too
Open Controls
Martins for the double?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/birmingham_city/9379619.stmOpen Controlsahhh just realised the deadline was an evening one next week, was looking forward to football the weekend since i missed it the last 2 weeks, boo urns!
on a + ive more time to figure out my team, cba doing it this weekOpen ControlsFA cup this weekend. Let me cheer u, next GW is evening deadline u'll be able to see the lineups.
Open Controlsthe midweek brum game was top notch great game
ill still watch the fa cup but its just not as fun 🙁
ive still dodgy internet so i cant be on the fpl ball as much
c what i did there?Open Controls
Foster or Stocdale this GW and why?
Cheers,Open ControlsGot to be Stockdale even though Brum strong at home....then again could see alot of save pts for Foster - Still i'd go with Stockdale
Open ControlsThanks mate, but Foster potential scares me. I remember he got 11pts at home against Che.
Open Controls
stockdale vs jones/fuller/carew
foster vs tevez
You know the answerOpen Controlsstockdale vs best/ameobi/nolan not jones/fuller/carew 😉
Open ControlsApologies.
There you go, even more clear cut I would say!Open Controls
Aren't Fulham playing Newcastle?
Admittedly not much more there in terms of attacking prowess!
In brief....safe bet Stockdale....searching for point take a punt on Foster.Open ControlsAnd that is an excellent comment. Cheers ICon.
Open Controls
I would have Stockdale but not sure whether Schwarzer is back or not, so put him in for now, Foster vs City spells bad news to me...
Open ControlsShwarzi won't be back so Stockdale is safe for this GW. So I presume he is the wise choice. The problem is that whenever I benched Foster he punished me badly.
Still not decided. ArhhhhOpen Controls
Help please lads, oh and ladies! Don't wanna be sexist!
Should I wildcard this week?
Gordon (Krul)
Bardsley Enrique Kelly Cole (Rafael)
Adam Nasri Nani (Bale Gera)
Torres Van Persie Tevez
1 free transfer
CheersOpen ControlsNo IMO,
Open ControlsKrul no
Gera no
Enrique no
rest is okay but I dunno, you could do betterOpen ControlsYeah they are leftovers that I haven't been able to transfer out yet, I know Krul and Gera won't play but Enrique will won't he? If Bale and Rafael were playing I'd be alright!
Open Controls
Hi, does anyone know when the rescheduled Arsenal and Birmingham games are due to be announced?
Open ControlsI don't but its to early. After weekend IMO.
Open Controls
Odemwingie or DJ in for Carroll???
