Next time u will be first.

What happened with your WC? I have 4 drafts already and I am on 70 30% to use it GW 26. I hope this WC u will do better, not like the previous one.

      Cheers,

I have a nice one ready to be played before GW27. A little different to the usual you see on here so not sure if that is a good or bad thing.

I've been thinking that too Daniel, but the 1.3m profit on Nani is putting me off.

1.3? That can't be real. What is your selling price? I have 0.4 profit and I can cope with that.

Considering your nickname I think it is worth a shoot. I hope for a Che draw so he won't have a double. IT will easy my decision.

        Using it GW26:

Pros - Gives you the option of a free double transfer in GW28
        - Liverpool, United and Fulham fixtures toughen up, good time to get rid
        - Many other teams hit a soft run of fixtures

Cons - Rivals who haven't used their WC by GW26 can copy you
        - You won't be able to tweak your DGW team to the max, as there might be injuries and info on rotation between GW26 and 27

I will save a transfer this week, do a double next week and use WC in GW27, because the cons outweigh the pros for me.

    Vidic Kolarov Pantsil (Coleman, Nelsen)
    Nasri VDV Nani(c) Adam (N'Zogbia)
    RVP Tevez Berbatov

    Bank 1.5
2 free transfers and wildcard #2 available

My 109 points got a battering by my rival's 129 last week :(.

    Thinking...

N'Zogbia --> Dempsey (for a couple of weeks)
    Nelsen/Kolarov --> Djourou or Kelly

I should have used my free transfer last week to bring in a Liverpool defender but I took my eye off the ball, so to speak. Now my lead is cut to 1 point in my league so I need to score big over the next few weeks.

Can't make my mind up regarding who to bring in though - N'Zogbia and Kolarov have been useless for me and I feel no urge to keep them.

Predicting Newcastle clean sheets is a little difficult
NO CLEAN SHEET: BLA, WIG, STK
          CLEAN SHEET: eve, ars

I think Carr is probably a safer choice but I wouldnt take a point hit to do it.

Why is there so little love for Tevez on the captain poll? City are playing Birmingham who just shipped 5 to United, and Tevez has had some monster scores away from home this year. Arsenal are playing Everton who tend to perform well in the big games and United are playing a resurgent Villa. Just me?

They don't tend to concede as many at home as they do away. Utds game was 5-0 at home whereas when they played Birmingham away it was 1-1.

He's definitely a consideration but mine is between Torres and Berbatov I think.

Fabregas is too much of a gamble. Yes he can be awesome, but getting him seriously weakens the rest of my wildcard side. Besides I think Nasri and RVP should be enough Arsenal coverage.
However the other thought is that no-one above me in my minileague has got him in and he could potentially be a game saver. Hmmm. Tough choices.

I see your point Atilla. My post was more in response to andy85wsm re an alternative capt choice this gw.

Not many can afford the lot of VDV/Fabregas/Nani/tevez/RVP/Berba so I think Fab might be a good "differential" capt if he comes good this week.

I'm happy to go with Hughes(he will be downgraded soon)/djourou/coleman/bardsley/kelly at the back since I will have nani/fab/VDV/brunt/adam/tevez/berba/rvp as my front 8.

Not sure what the best combination is, haven't started wildcard tinkering yet but I'd be wary of Djourou and Kelly's long term starting roles and Bardsley's fixtures. Not that there's a wealth of choice in that price range

Birmingham have lost... once? at home in a year. The 5-0 thrashing at United was a bit of a shock.

Their FA Cup game is against Coventry at home so they won't be that tired as many will no doubt get a rest.

Meanwhile Aston Villa have to play Blackburn which is a far tougher game while United get a nice rest against Southampton.

Then you have Arsenal who will have an easy game against Huderfield while Everton have to play Chelsea. If Everton want to win anything this year they'll HAVE to field a full strength team in that game so I can see Arsenal destroying them.

Likewise I think Torres (if still present) will do some severe damage against Stoke. They have no game over the weekend, are at home and Stoke have no shawcross in their defence.

There many options better than Tevez in my opnion.

It is a good bit overhyped. They have been performing better though. I really think I might get Meireles in the Wildcard, he's been doing well lately and looks a good player.

ive seen meireles mentioned a few times here so it looks like he's tempting a few people. i fear he may be the essien/modric type whose quality doesn't materialise into fpl points. its always hard to tell with liverpool's midfield as they rotate a lot (might have to check the heat/average position maps) but i think meireles may have been almost the attacking mid in front of gerrard and poulson. he definitely gets forward a bit.
could be a good differential for you though pretty sure his ownership will stay nice and small

I can't see many going for him, and the games I've watched he's always been in attacking positions so I'll rummage round the stats before leaping on. If they get Adam though I wont bother.

Yeah I can't see any immediate concerns. I'm playing Baines against Arsenal and Robinson against Tottenham so I'm expecting both of them to concede, but that's pretty much unavoidable. There's no need start messing with things and taking hits just because of that.

    Evra Coleman Bardsley
    Nani VDV Adam N'Zogbia
    Rooney Torres(c) Varney

    Robinson Samba Alcaraz

    Any suggestions?

I know the defence is pretty rotten but trying to save WC till DGW so would rather make 1 poss. 2 changes to this motley crew to get in shape for GW 25 & 26.

All help will be very much appreciated as I had gradually made up an 80 point deficit on my brother over the course of about 12 weeks for a massive chunk of it to be lost again last week :'(

I was going to make no transfers this week then do Torres and Nasri out for RVP and Cahill or A.Young for GW26.

But now I'm thinking just get RVP in this week for Torres. I know it's Stoke at home but I have more faith in RVP.

Got to be Stockdale even though Brum strong at home....then again could see alot of save pts for Foster - Still i'd go with Stockdale

Thanks mate, but Foster potential scares me. I remember he got 11pts at home against Che.

        Aren't Fulham playing Newcastle?

Admittedly not much more there in terms of attacking prowess!

In brief....safe bet Stockdale....searching for point take a punt on Foster.

I would have Stockdale but not sure whether Schwarzer is back or not, so put him in for now, Foster vs City spells bad news to me...

Shwarzi won't be back so Stockdale is safe for this GW. So I presume he is the wise choice. The problem is that whenever I benched Foster he punished me badly.

        Still not decided. Arhhhh

Help please lads, oh and ladies! Don't wanna be sexist!

    Should I wildcard this week?

    Gordon (Krul)
    Bardsley Enrique Kelly Cole (Rafael)
    Adam Nasri Nani (Bale Gera)
    Torres Van Persie Tevez

    1 free transfer

    Cheers

Maybe just swap Bardsley out so I don't have 2 Sunderland defensive players against Chelsea? Then Wildcard next week?

Yeah they are leftovers that I haven't been able to transfer out yet, I know Krul and Gera won't play but Enrique will won't he? If Bale and Rafael were playing I'd be alright!
