The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

Our congratulations go to Acquafresca this afternoon after he clinched the FFS Members Cup with a 72-52 win over Eunuch Jelly last weekend. The margin of victory was mainly down to the winner’s decision to captain a certain Dutchman, as Robin Van Persie racked up a 34 point armband return in United’s home win over Villa on Monday evening:

Acquafresca also had Luis Suarez to thanks after the Liverpool man registered an 11 point return in Sunday’s home clash with Chelsea, while Theo Walcott and Norwich skipper Russell Martin combined for 12 points to help seal the silverware. Acquafresca also receives £100 worth of free bets and a £100 Amazon voucher for his troubles.

Eunuch Jelly opted for Michu as captain in Swansea’s home game with Southampton but the Spaniard’s blank proved costly. Suarez, Wayne Rooney, Eden Hazard, David De Gea and Guy Demel all chipped in with points but weren’t enough to overturn the Van Persie haul – nevertheless, our runner-up can console himself with £50 worth of free bets and a £50 Amazon voucher.

The battle for third spot came down to overall rank after Maddocio and 12 inch of fury both registered 53 points apiece in Gameweek 34. The latter’s superior placing in the standings earned him victory, with captain Suarez producing the points along with Walcott, Patrice Evra and Ben Davies – he picks up £50 worth of free bets and a £25 Amazon voucher.

Maddocio’s tally was helped by Chelsea midfield duo Eden Hazard and Juan Mata, while Walcott, Rooney, Demel and De Gea all played their parts. Ultimately, his decision to captain Michu also proved his downfall after the goalless draw at the Liberty with Southampton.

All of our quartet will be in the draw for the first ever Fantasy Football Scout Shield, which takes place over the final four Gameweeks. This will see the last eight of the FFS Members cup face the last eight participants of the Fantasy Football Scout cup in a similar knockout format, with the final occurring on the last day of the season. We’ll be publishing the draw for that one later on this evening.

The Final

Eunuch Jelly52-72Acquafresca

The Third Place Play-off

Maddocio53-53*12 inch of fury

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Rafael Zabaleta Wilson
    Mata Hazard Michu Fellaini Osman
    RVP Benteke
    (Flappy, Berba, Davies, Demel)

Best move so I can afford Fellaini > Bale this week?

    a) Mignolet > Robles
    b) Osman > Maloney (means playing 3-5-2 in the DGW, probably with 2 SGW strikers)
    c) Rafael > Dawson

Are people going ahead and getting Defoe this week? I think I'll leave it til I see if he starts Vs wig. Ade form is terrible but AVB does like him.
Plus the AVB comments yesterday sound worryingly like "yeah, Jermaine's my super-sub"

I think Nani likely to come in for Valencia who has played a lot lately. Welbeck maybe for Rooney and Cleverly in for Giggs from last match. I see Kags being given a little run actually.

I've waited all week for such a question. This is my exact same dilemma. At the moment I favour Maloney as he was sensational last weekend and plays for a team that simply must win at all costs no matter what opposition. Wigan are also unpredictable and capable of beating anyone and Maloney is out of position.

So too is Michu but Swansea's motivation is questionable. Laudrup has also spoken about the need to focus on defence in the final few games.

Other factors Maloney is at home and I feel Chelsea have more defensive resolve at home than Spurs do away.

Michu benched for me....squeaky bum time.

Not really sure. I wouldn't start him - I think Adebayor for 60 and Defoe for 30 is far more effective than either for 90 minutes - but AVB may feel differently.

not rest, just not risking injury. But the main reason is just to give others games who have been patiently waiting all season and not moaning about it. Also there is need to get Chicha and nani in the shopping window just in case.

if he doesn't then he doesn't but worth taking the risk. He has W Ham home, Swansea away, W brom home (possibly), reading away and norwich home. Worth the risk and could go crazy in the last 2 games

Team is in need of a shake up, so 12 points being spent this week to get most of my DGWers in.

    Evans to Dawson
    Santi to Bale
    Gervinho to Lampard
    Rooney to Aguero

    Giving me:

    Bunn
    Baines, Clichy, Dawson
    Bale(c), Mata, Lampard, Fellaini
    RVP, Remy, Aguero

    Fab(inj), Gomez, Turner(inj), Harte(disappeared)

How's this sound? Might not have a playing keeper this week but don't have the money for Hart until next week.

Liking the Fat Franky option, tempted to bring him in for the double myself. And I'm in a similar position keeper wise but not so concerned about it. You thinking of downgrading and taking a -4 next week to get a keeper in?

Fatty needs 3 goals to break the record. I'm gambling on him doing it and I'll take 3 goals in 4 gameweeks from a midfielder, whether he starts them all or not.

That's right on the keeper situation, Baines to Scharner and Fab to Hart next week.

I can feel that. A brace in the double hopefully cause I'm not willing to take any hits this week. Thought it'd be a Baines sacrifice, makes sense financially vs points. I want some way of getting hart bt not sure it's doable for me, thinking of Lloris.

    This is massive:

"A lot of younger players, the ones who have been on the fringes for the last few weeks, and I desperately want them to feel their contribution has been big. Chicharito, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Nani - I think it's important to get them involved in the last few weeks."

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/8671062

It's exactly what we've been expecting and for once I think red nose can be trusted.

Who dares to sell RVP though?

I sold Rooney to get Tevez, so that's not an option. It's Defoe or Berba I reckon. I think Spurs fixtures till the end might swing it Defoe's way. Berba has 1 nice fixture Defoe has 4 and a DGW (and he could still do something v Chelsea)

I'm ridding myself of him. He and Fulham picked back up in form when thy needed to, getting those points to see them completely safe and have now waned again with not much to play for. And he's not playing as far forward as he was when he was raking it in, so a change of position and no motivation leads to me eating rid.
Whether Defoe or not is the right man is tough though, if he plays it could be a great gamble. If ade starts though, it's looking like a waste of a transfer

Really unsure what to do with him. Was thinking of playing 3-5-2 this week, and giving him a rest. Like the lazy sod needs one. Matter of weighing up who will get more pts over ther next 2 gameweeks. & whether Berb will be arsed v Reading anyway.
