This evening, we roll out the draw for the inaugural Fantasy Football Scout Shield. This pits the quarter finalists of the FFS Members Cup against the last eight of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup which took place earlier this season, with the final taking place in Gameweek 38. The Shield follows the same knockout format, with £100 Amazon voucher for the winner and £50 Amazon voucher for the runner-up.

Scout cup winner Wild Rover is up against former world number one Iyad Zahlan in one of the plum ties of the opening round –Iyad’s side “Giavarra555” is the highest ranked amongst the 16, sitting in 42nd spot in the overall rankings.

Members cup runner-up Eunuch Jelly (680th overall) is up against the rank outsider Stevey Trader, whose side currently stands around the 335,000 mark. Mr KK, who finished third in the Scout Cup, squares up to 12 inch of fury, who ended up third in the Members cup last weekend.

After finishing as runner-up to Wild Rover in the Scout Cup, Mile High will be hoping to go one further – sitting in 76th spot overall, he’s up against cuihe_508, while Fuzzy Dunlop (2K) is the favourite against Heart of the City (21K).

New Members cup holder Acquafresca now pits his wits against Maddocio, who was forced into fourth in the same competition on overall rank alone. Site regular Rickie Smokes lets go will face ange1range1 for a place in the last eight – ranked at 10K and 12K respectively, their match-up looks an even battle.

Finally, Tommy Tynan’s Left Shin Pad goes head-to-head with JMS; the latter’s had a solid season and dropped out of the top 1,000 for the first time since Gameweek 10 last weekend – he’ll be looking to make amends with a green arrow.

        Sagna, Clyne, Wilson, Turner, Harte..

I'm trying to catch my ML rival up (cut 130p to 60) in the last month so worried about taking these hits as he has 2FT this week

if you are planning on bringing him in for a hit in GW36, might aswell take it now and have him instead of Wilson.

I have no axe to grind with Suarez or Liverpool and i always believed he was harshly treated in the Evra affair however how can the Club be complaining about the 10 game ban.

He bit someone before...........this bite was totally unprovoked..............the only provocation was they were losing and he was annoyed after giving away a penalty................. and he would have done a lot more damage to Ivanovic except he was a moving target. The intent and length of the attempted bite was scary..............

Liverpool constantly refer to themselves as a "Great Club"....................Rodgers seems to think the "unreserved apology" should count for something..........what were we to expect, a 75% apology??

2 players before have done the same in the english leagues. one got a yellow, one got a 5 game ban. thats why they are complaining, a lack of consistancy

The Defoe incident was part of this "no re-refereeing the game"......which is nonsense...........of course games should be "re-refereed if there are clear incidents where referees have made clear errors................Justice must prevail. Plus, if players know ANY incident can be looked at again, then they might change their behaviour.

As for the other "bite", i don't know about it, but the fact that Suarez bit someone before should have been a reason to extend his ban, the fact that his attack on Ivan was unprovoked should also have been taken into account.

If someone repeatedly has unprotected sex with prostitutes and gets an STD ... they can't say they are unlucky.

If, completely unprovoked, you bite a guy during a game (something you have done before), you should not complain that your suspension is too long. You did something totally stupid. That is no part of football. Tough sh*t.

He is a brilliant footballer. But he has serious issues. If he stops doing ridiculous stuff on the field, he will stop feeling hard-done by.

It's unfair because it effects the club harshly, that and the inconsistency of bans given to players. Many people feel that if this was another player it wouldn't be as harsh.

Each incident should be treated independently.

Terry got a 4 match ban, Suarez gets 8?!

It was just a wee nibble, hardly a massive issue.

What about Evra's "celebration" on Monday? He should get banned for that.

Evra provoked the racist comments from Suarez.

Evra moved his hand away first.

Evra deliberately celebrated right in front of Evra.

Evra took the piss out of Suarez again on Monday night.

Evra is a dick & has not got any punishment for his constant provocation.

I don't believe Evra behaved well last season during all that.

I think Suarez was harshly treated. However,i am looking at the bite as a 2nd Biting offence ,it was vile and unprovoked and the intent was there to do more damage to Ivanovic than he did.

Was it though? I didn't see a mark (and i'm not defending what he did) but if i wanted to maliciously bite someone i would at the very least draw blood. Maybe there's more to this spat than meets the eye, maybe Ivanovic provoked him in some way?

Have a look at when Suarez sees red and loses the rag? When they are losing. That was the provocation. It's a huge flaw in his character..............other players are dangerous when they are losing too, Suarez takes the biscuit though

AK, to answer your question, Boselli had scored a bunch of goals in pre-season in 2011. He was a bargain price and Wigan had Norwich at home in GW1, I think. Tons of people on FFS had him in their teams, even as captain. He did nothing ad eventually lost his place in the side.

Hedging is as good as any. I'd prefer to find a phrase slightly more pejorative.

'Hedging without testicles' for instance 🙂

Agree with this. Watch his goals for Liverpool back (its good viewing) - all about pace and confidence. He doesn't have either now. Not a terrible player but not a player for a top quality team.

ok so I have a wee problem

I have double Everton mids and Berba

0 FTs but happy to take a hit to remove one.

    a) Pienaar to Hazard
    b) Pienaar to Mata (though I think Hazard will outscore him in DGW)
    c) Berba to Defoe
    d) Berba to Lukaku

got into it quite late, not seen many of the early seasons, think I got into it around season 5.

Hazard or Mata is a killer. Mata's record v bigger teams is insane. But Hazard has outscored him in DGWs and is better at home (SWA). But I suppose defending from a rival who has Mata is the clincher in Mata's favour, that and set-pieces

Boooo, it became really bad after like season 2-3, the initial seasons were the best 😀

I won't think twice about Mata v Hazard, Mata all the way for me.

it is always repeated over here, but it's on at really bad times for me. I'm waiting for them to get back to the start and I'll just stick the thing on series record. the DvDs are just too damn expensive.

yes but I'm hardly ever on. When you messaged me the other day I was actually at work, I had only gone to use my phone to check on the City score.

Thank you for that, that's why I made it so specific. In one of my leagues only one manager can have Bale, and it's not me.

It's a serious question, since I have those three players and no one better for GW35.

Hazard is so wasteful; he shouldn't be on the "player of the year" list imo

Those cute touches piss me off sometimes, but he's amazing to watch, Should be better, has improved in the second half of the season quite a lot.

Thoughts on the importance of Hart, Vertonghen and Hazard for GW36, especially if you have no city/spurs defensive cover or no Chelsea mids

really want city defensive cover, but no defender is nailed on and taking a hit on changing GK seems criminal

thinking about it, DDG > HART for -4, isnt that bad as i see Hart getting more than 4 points more than DDG for the remainder of the season, especially if Lindegard is given a few, im gonna do it!!! and then Rafael to Vertonghen next week

Shaw has better CS potential. Lost patience on Samba and sold a few weeks ago.

well, as far as CS odds are concerned, bookmakers give SOT a higher probability, but I agree, tough one to call and if you have been keeping Samba for goal threat, you may as well play him every game

It's really frustrating to play Samba all the time for that goal..

Shaw I think, but I'd play Samba. 😉

Only 1 transfer left in my TFF team and need to replace Suarez (other strike is RVP - playing 3-5-2).

Who is the single best striker to own between now and the end of the season?
