The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

Here were are on the eve of Gameweek 35 and there’s the small matter of the Sixth Round draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV to deal with. Just 16 Fantasy Managers now remain, which gives us (well, me at least) a slightly startling reminder as to how close to the season end we are.

As always, you can view the full set of results from the previous round with a single click (provided you click right here), as you can with the draw for this round (right here). What follows is a summary and a preview of those two pieces…

Scoring back-to-back top scores isn’t unprecedented in FFS Cup history (remember the legend that was NBJ?), but nonetheless it’s mighty impressive. And that’s exactly what hamyai_hamyai has done, after bashing Green_Libero 99 – 63. That huge win now sets up a Last 16 meeting with the second highest-ranked Fantasy Manager in the competition, Pocket Beatnik (coming in off a 82 – 53 win over milanista).

Perhaps I should have stuck an asterisk after naming hamyai_hamyai as the round’s top-scorer, because it was in fact a joint-top-score. Biscanators also notched a score one point short of a century, despatching Minkfish by 39 points in the process. Standing between him and a spot in our Quarter-Finals is Dame Judi Dench M.

Also one win from a Quarter-Final is SammyC, who was involved in the highest-scoring tie of the round against Wonderboys. The final score in that was 95 – 87, and the victor now goes on to a Round Six match-up with elana_s.

The highest-ranked Fantasy Manager left in the competition (and therefore instantly dubbed ‘favourite’ by me) is 58th in the world daniel.mf. The Republic of Macedonia’s number one takes on Pez in the Last 16.

As luck would have it, the two worst-ranked Fantasy Managers in the Last 16 face each other. 135,758th in the world Joel Farthing takes one 152,081st overall PowerOranje. Whoever advances will of course be named as my ‘plucky underdog’ for the next round. How far will late-season form take them?

All ties to be played over Gameweek 35 and I’ll bring you the results once it has concluded. Good luck to all those competing in the Sixth Round.

Maybe. I presume you are already getting rid of Zamora though?

I would do Zamora to Suarez and get rid of Adam for whoever you can afford to make that happen.

Pratik...Don't take a 4pt hit my friend but change one of your strikers. You have enough cash for Gyan>Suarez or Zamora>Odemwingie

Sorry for replying so late. And btw i really dont wanna remove adam. Really think he is a fpl diamond.

In Fantasy terms I reckon ke's the best/safest of Citehs mids and forwards. Not an exciting pick I grant you but he hasn't let me down the 2 times he's been in my team this season.

    12 point hit>>>

    Hart (Begs)
    Hangey – R.Johnson – Luiz (Kelly, Huth)
    Silva (c) – Lampard – Adam – Yaya (DVD)
Drogs – RVP - The Thing

Right capt choice? right benchers? another hit? if i lose this weekend all over. 4 down against rival ... 4 to go... need to be on the ball more than ever...

any comments so much appreciated! x

Posted this on last thread an got a few replies but if anyone else is willing to help that would be great! 😀

Right got to do my transfers now as won’t be able to get a computer etc for the rest of the week. If you guys could just give me a few quick opinions please?
    Foster (Stockdale)
    Huth Luiz Samba (Walker, Coleman)
Adam A Young Nani Dempsey Lampard
    S.E.B(don’t ask!) Van Persie Odemwingie

Was thinking Nani and S.E.B out for Suarez and Yaya Toure for a 4 point hit, but then I’d have a problem of who to bench?

    Any opinions?

    Morning guys,

I'm trying to jump on the Manchester City bandwagon, preferably Silva, but having a difficult time taking anybody out of my current team:

    Foster (Mignolet)
    Luiz Walker Huth (Evatt Djourou)
Adam Walcott A. Young VDV Lampard
    Van Persie Drogba (Hoilett)

-Adam could score big this week
-Walcott has some nice fixtures after this gameweek
-A. Young will score big this week (really, he will this time)
-VDV has a DGW in GW36
-Lampard is on form and it's crazy to take him out but this would give me a lot of possibilities.

Any advice? Got 0.2 in the bank.

    Cheers

I`d take Walcott out. Or Young, but Walcott really.

The equation is i want yaya in but dont want to take a midfieldes out. I will remove one of my useless forwards for odem/suarez. I also dont want anything to with dzeko but need a city player. So what so i finally do. Do i still go with dzeko cause it is the easy thing to do and then keep praying for him to play ?

I'm in the exact same situation. I think I'll take out Lampard, it's time to gamble a little more and make some ground

Depends on Carroll's fitness. Actually, no or doesn't. Suarez.
