Isla or Caulker?Jovetic or Adebayor. Could anybody shed any light on this matter?

I think Isla is an absolutely brilliant signing. Very tempted to get him in. The extra .5 vs Rio is a tough call though. Plus he may not start straight away.

    THOUGHTS ON UNITED v VALENCIA

 United looked comfortable in the first half defensively, as Valencia sat back and looked to counter, but were opened up too easily in the second half, when the opposition started to press higher up the pitch. Jones was the official Man of the Match with a good performance, and Tyler Blackett was also excellent, a more than capable replacement if Evans is injured.

 Herrera was excellent in the first 45, and he, Fletcher and Mata played several dangerous through-balls for Rooney and Hernandez to run onto. On another day, United could have been 3 up by HT.

 Rooney had 3 good chances: the penalty, failing to control Fletchers pass when one-on-one with the keeper, and a shot from the edge of the box which went just over. While he really should have scored, it is encouraging that he is getting opportunities and I just hope that he can convert one or two come Saturday.

 Ashley Young may not be a great footballer, but he is a wonderful crosser of the ball. He played in 3 or 4 brilliant balls and also took a few corners. He looks a genuine short term prospect and is surely nailed on with fitness doubts surrounding Rafael, Valencia and Shaw.

First pre-season friendly at the Bridge since 2006. Easy 2-0 win.

Costa is a machine. Great finish for the first and great reaction for the 2nd. Dangerous in all situations.
Hazard played 81 minutes and was very lively created chances. Looking sharp, ignore anyone on here who says he won't be fit. Oscar on the other hand looked off the pace.
Fabregas played deep along with Matic. One would stay and one would go forward (certainly wasn't always Fab)
Ivanovic had an excellent first half at RB. (switched at HT to CB)
Luis and Azpili came on at HT. Luis always looking to get forward and overlap. Put some decent crosses in the box.

Overall some of the first touch passing and movement was a joy to watch at times. Only Jose knows the back 4 line up fr Monday. I suspect it will be Luis and Azpili myself in the fullback roles.

Kind of disappointed Evans couldn't wait one more week to get injured.

After all the horror experiences with him, i thought it would only be fair if others tasted the same feeling while i sat with jones' 15 pointer

Good luck with Jones. He could easily have put himself out of the opener tonight with some full blooded challenges.

Ridiculous isn't it. I was so settled with my team before this now can't decide.... I think he's a must though, particularly with nearly 30% ownership

What do people think of Caulker?

Top scoring current 5 mill defender. Scored 5 goals and surely will get more than Cardiff's 7 clean sheets with QPR this season?

I think Clyne and Curtis Davies are better shouts at that price.
