We delve into the Gameweek 5 data this evening in our first members article of the week. Wayne Rooney’s new role for United comes under analysis, as do Burnley and Leicester’s displays up front, whilst a couple of north London-based frontmen are also placed under the microscope after their contrasting weekend performances.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

that makes sense, tempted by that as well as I already have Gilks, so a swap to Heaton = no rotation worries, and Burnley aren't scoring enough to warrant attacking interest

Yep. I've had them from the start. Burnley conceded 37 goals in 46 matches last season. And 3 clean sheets in a row in the last 3 weeks puts Heaton up as the highest scoring goalkeeper so far.

The one differential that's paid off for me.

I like Schmeichel as well, but Burnley look like a better defensive unit

In the opening match against Chelsea, Heaton should have been sent off for bringing down Costa in the area and Burnley should have been awarded a penalty. Costa was booked for diving, but it would have been so sweet.

Guys I'm in a bit of a panic over Mata dropping either tonight or very soon.

    My team:

    Forster, McCarthy

    Ivan, Chambers, PVA, Duff, Moore

    Mata, Sterling, Siggy, Tadic, Boyd

    Aguero, Costa, Pelle

Only £0.2 m in the bank. Mata to Ramsey?

Ramsey isn't dropping, he's already dropped last night. I don't mind if he drops but still plays for me. I'm not touching those Spurs players mate with their next 3 games. How about Silva?

Ramsey's a decent long-term pick - but would you go for Di Maria or Fabregas if you could afford them?

      1. Brutus619

I would go for them if I could afford them and if Chelsea's immediate fixtures were much better. I just don't see anyone in my team worth downgrading to afford them though.

It's the cost of owning Aguero, I suppose?

I'd definitely take Ramsey over Silva.

Currently my team is ranked 1212 globally. Captain selection has been on point so far but this week is tough.

    Would you pick:
    A) Di Maria (Home) vs West Ham
    B) Chelsea (Home) vs Aston Villa
    C) Anyone of the following:

    My team:
    BEGOVIC
    BAINES - BERTRAND - DIER
DI MARIA - SIG - STERLING - RAMSEY - FABREGAS
    WELBECK - DIEGO COSTA

    Bench:
    MYHILL, VLAAR, BOJAN, WISDOM

Chambers is incredible value, but why get Chambers when I can afford Baines

Indeed, GB, just might wait one more week for Chambers though as if I need a hit for a defender Baines is the one more likely to repay it

      7-8

    Forster - (Gilks)
Terry - PvA - Moore (Coloccini) (Ferdinand)
Fabregas - Sterling - Ramsey - Siggy (Marney)
    Costa (c) - Rooney - Pelle

    1 FT - £1.0 in the bank

Think I need Di Maria, Ramsey the likely transfer out
Would you take a hit to upgrade Ferdinand/Coloccini to Duff or is my defense okay for this GW?

Ramsey out before the derby is madness.

Yes ozil took his place last game but that's no guarantee he won't be put back next game.

Not owning Di Maria is scary, but your right Ramsey has the potential to score a decent amount of points on Saturday

On Wildcard lads, some final touches

    A) Baines, Azpilicueta, Moore/Wisdom

    B) Jagielka, Lovren, Azpilicueta

    C) Baines, Lovren, Wilson

Schmeichel / Foster (very good rotation)

Chambers, Duff , XXX, XXX, XXX

ADM, Fabregas, Sterling, Siggy , Ramsey

    Costa, Welbeck, Ulloa

    Thanks

Im having the same problem. The problem I think with this choice is that every week you have a benching issue.

      See my proposed teams above

with injuries, cards, rotation issues, last minute injuries (like sanchez this week) a strong bench is a must

Could disagree more! I hate an a benching dilemma, what's more I can count on two fingers in eight years playing this game when I'd wished to have 'strong' bench. You want as much as possible in your first 11

u mean too much money in defense? i was to consider kun but then he is an injury waititng to happen i dont want to go through last year's mess. Only other striker i would consider is falcao

You need a saints defender in there. Clyne/Bertrand, Azpi, Moore. Baines is good if he gets you attacking points (penalty this weekend) however Everton have been swiss cheese for clean sheets. Liverpool, Man U and Aston Villa up next. Would be surprised for a clean sheet against any of them.

I had double Southampton all last year with Lovren/Fonte and they raked in the points for me. Ride it until it slows. Both Clyne and Bertrand have proven to be an attacking threat too. Clyne with the wingback and Bertrand with most touches in the offensive third of a defender. Otherwise I think your team is very strong. I don't think this issue will make or break you. Take a chance.

    *Any Transfer to do?
    *Lineup like this?

    Mannone

    Ivanovic --- Clyne --- Wisdom

    Hazard --- Sterling --- ADM --- Siggy

    Costa --- Rooney --- Naismith

    Subs: Krul, PVA, Dummet, JWP

Almost with the same team…I'd do Naismith to Ulloa. Don't take a hit, ride out Balo. I'd play Wilson over Moreno this weekend. Everton will score on Liverpool and not sure if he's got any attacking points in him.
