172 atm, hopefully go up a bit with a few to come in tomorrow. How about yourself? The beauty of this game will be when squads get ravaged by injury and have to take out these loans. Should be interesting stuff?!

I'm just hoping the squad holds out til January - the loans confuse me.

The budget striker shuffle, highlights the dangers of buying differentials on the grounds of a few good weeks. Ulloa had scored 26 points in the previous 3 , while Naismaith had scored 24 in his previous 3

    Who did the following?

Start the season with Bojan due to loads of pre season goals
    RESULT 2 0 0
Oh hes no good, Naismith is on fire lets get him
    RESULT 1 0 2
Had enough of this im getting Ulloa in, hes brilliant
    RESULT 2

A total of 7 points from bringing in three players who were scoring for fun in 7 weeks average 1 point per game

Highlights the folly of chasing points from a few good games, especially if the player is not a recognised star. Very few players keep the points flowing for more than three consecutive games

This whole game is about the folly of "chasing points" ADM, Costa, Bertrand, Fabrfegas, Sigurdsson, Clyne, P. Cisse - to name but a few

Some of these things are not like the others. While agree with your point, players like Costa and even Siggy have shown that they offer more than that.

drink was gettin the better of me. walkin in front of cars, out of my mind drunk. got hit by one last year and woke up in hospital. no proper damage thankfully .then, when it almost happened again and i received a summons for being a danger to myself and others-allied to MJ on here diagnosing me as an alcoholic over a computer screen- i knew it was time to quit. ciggies are a recent thing. for medical reasons i was told i cud no longer smoke. anyway. how's your season?

Thing with these type of players is you need to bring them in before their points, however in practice it almost impossible, there are so many budget options that choosing the correct one is very tough.

There is an argument for a budget striker in a 3-4-3, you just have to have the right one at the right time

This is where I think the guy in my ML who has Ulloa and Sakho will start to fall down

Didn't even consider any of them, budget strikers are too limiting.

I have Costa, Aguero and Welbeck now, but would also like Pelle. Can't have them all, and you can only have two if you put a cheap'un in there.

I recall reading somewhere a bit of stats analysis on the folly of chasing points of lower price players. Basically they dont have the quality to continue to run in most cases so it usually ends up being a bust.

      Ancelotti proclaims Ronaldo king: http://www.marca.com/en/2014/10/03/en/football/real_madrid/1412357889.html

Ancelotti thinks CR7 is the best player he has ever coached. That means he thinks Cristiano is better than Fabio Cannavaro, Kaká, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Shevchenko, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and that's only naming the other Ballon d'Or winners he has coached.

hope he's back for WBA. International break could help us.

totally if he can avoid that 5th yellow

I'm looking at GW10 for him so could do without a big rise, so a 5th yellow would be great for me to stem any transfers in

Would you do Moore and Ulloa > Bertrand and Pelle (providing they come through the game against Spurs) asap to catch rises over international period? Noticed Pelle is rising rapidly

Welbz or ADM to rise tonight?

Want to get a close look at them tomorrow before getting them.

ADM especially as EVE present significantly tougher opponents than he's had to face in the league.

http://www.fplstatistics.co.uk is working decently for risers. Welbeck looks certain to rise.

How he didn't notice that it was a yard outside the box I'll never know. His assistant was equally poor.

You can't effectively GIVE a goal to a team if you aren't 100% sure, its just ridiculous

it was worse than one Clattenburg gave v United (the first) and he didn't get demoted

        refs are untouchable these days

I realise they have a really hard job and are only human and thus make mistakes and miss things

but errors like those 2 should not go unpunished

What is your biggest surprise this season?

Filipe Luis for me, rotting on the bench

Luis plays the cup and CL games.

Ivan plays league and CL games

Azpi plays league and cup games.

        Perfect rotation.

      Berahino.
slowly...but surelly...he keeps racking the pts. another goal 2day. mentioned him several weeks ago, but the dude gets no respecckt. 🙂 indeed, lots of cheap forwards make berahino not an option.

      GW8 transfers opinions please

Bringing in Welbeck, downgrading Cahill for a hit (have to in order to make room for Welbeck)

      Bego
      Chambers Clyne Duff Moore 5.3?
      Siggy Sterling ADM Fab\
      Costa Welbeck Aguero

Who would you choose in that defensive position. Considering I have Stoke, Ars, SOU, BUR and LEI cover, looking at SUN, AVL, WBA? The usual names are popping up, Hutton, Wisdom, Dawson, PVA
