The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

      I don't think you can say that Haz is a punt, we are talking the probable top scoring midfielder by the end of season. If anything Costa is the punt imo, Mou might be careful with the minutes he gets either starting/going off early, starting from bench.

          One consideration I've got is to downgrade likes of Downing / Siggy to Boyd, having 2FT again next week to use the cash to upgrade elsewhere (likely defence / midfield).

            I was planning on the exact same moves but going to use one of my 2 FTs to do PVA > Chambers and will reassess next week what I want to do with Siggy/Downing. I got Downing initially a few weeks back as cover for Siggy's games so trying to stick to that plan for now

              Yeah Downing has been my fifth mid but he's not done anything for me, I'd prefer a decent fifth mid but not viable if I want to upgrade my defence and keep Costa, Aguero and Pelle!

      I really don't want to lose ADM, especially since I have had him since he entered the game.
      But the only other way is to sell Fabs, and I think he is going to score more than ADM over the season. And also had him since gw. 3.

      .. just really need to get Sanchez in, as my ML rivals are catching up with me due to his goals!
