Our Monday regular is rolled out again this afternoon, as we scour the Premier League treatment rooms to assess those players who picked up injuries over the weekend action.

Arsenal
Jack Wilshere has been ruled out of Arsenal’s midweek Champions League clash with Anderlecht due to illness, Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier today.

Everton
Antolin Alcaraz is set to be sidelined for an extended period of time after he was forced off early on during the weekend goalless draw with Swansea. After the match, Roberto Martinez went on to say:

“He has damaged the joint in his shoulder. We’ll assess it but he could be out for a long spell. We’ll help Antolin all we can and try to help him back before the second half of the season.”

Hull
Centre-half Alex Bruce missed the Tigers’ 1-0 home defat at the hands of Southampton with a hamstring injury. Earlier today, Steve Bruce rolled out an update on the defender’s likely period of absence:

“Alex got injured in training on Friday, one of the last kicks of the session. It’s a hamstring but we don’t think it’s too serious. It’s probably going to be two, three or four weeks.”

Leicester
Leonardo Ulloa was utilised as a sub as the Foxes suffered their first home loss of the season against West Brom on Saturday. After the 1-0 defeat, Nigel Pearson explained his reasons for benching the Argentine:

“He had a groin problem, which we had scanned last Sunday. It was a case of not really wanting to risk him from the start today. I don’t see that as being anything negative. He was on the bench and had no problems afterwards. It wasn’t worth the risk to start him.”

Manchester City
Eliaquim Mangala missed yesterday’s Manchester derby due to a hip injury, according to reports in the local press. Aleksandar Kolarov was originally named in Manuel Pellegrini’s starting XI but picked up a problem during the warm-up and was replaced by Gael Clichy.

Manchester United
Rafael was absent from the Etihad showdown after picking up an injury in training, United’s official twitter account has confirmed.

Marcos Rojo looks set for a stint on the sidelines after being stretchered off with a shoulder injury midway through the second period. After the match, Louis van Gaal admitted:

“”His shoulder is out. We don’t know how long that will take. I have to wait until Monday. But he shall not play against Crystal Palace, I don’t think.”

Newcastle
Gabriel Obertan could be set for a spell on the sidelines after being stretchered off with a thigh injury against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon. After the 1-0 win, Alan Pardew admitted he fears the worst:

“The only real big problem we had was losing Obertan which was a big blow as he’s been outstanding. It looks like he’s got a bad injury and we’re all really disappointed for him.”

Pardew also revealed he withdrew Papiss Cisse at the break as he reckoned the striker was still suffering the effects of a recent injury:

“I just felt that Papiss wasn’t moving quite normally. He has got this irritation on his knee – he thought he was OK, I slightly disagreed with him and we’ll probably still disagree on that, but only in the right possible way.”

West Brom
The Baggies left-back Sebastien Pocognoli was subbed off towards the ends of the weekend win at Leicester through injury.

West Ham
Winston Reid was forced off early with a thigh problem during the weekend draw at Stoke, though Sam Allardyce confirmed post-match that the injury “wasn’t too serious”.

True if you're looking at it short term, but that's a keeper transfer waiting to happen. Keep in mind, unless Burnley tighten back up happen a la GW 1-5,
those home fixtures won't mean much since they are highly likely to concede.

On paper it looks better, but Brom have the better defense & team.
That + the long term fixtures 'til Jan WC, gives the edge to Foster for the price

    1) What on the earth Kane needs to do in order to start?
    2) How lucky were Chadli owners this w/e? He scored instead to be sent off, minutes earlier..

How often would Fergi start solskjaer?

Rarely. Because he offers plenty as an impact player. Perhaps Kane falls into this mould. MoPo knows neither of our other strikers can provide this service.

I fancy him to start next game. Hope he does well.

Personally I'd be tempted to play LLors, Rose, Fazio, Lamela and Soldado with all of our youngsters. Inject spirit and pace into the team with a core of senior players.

Saving the FT so I have 2 during international break seem wisest thing to do?

    Forster (Gilks)
    Baines Bertrand Wisdom (Naylor Moore)
    Sanchez Sigurdsson Fabregas Downing (Marney)
    Costa Pelle Aguero

Hello gets. Need bit help. My this weeks dilemma is should I do Fabregaz -> Di Maria for a hit?

Hard to drop someone who just keeps on giving but bit afraid those potentials double figures from Adm in those relatively easy fixtures.

    My front7 is:

    Downing-Sanchez-Fab-Hazard
    Aguero-Pelle-Welbz

I know and he should do well but I don't think it's a good hit. Would rather just do it for free next week. But if you have a strong feeling that AdM will have a monster game then do it 🙂

        Foster, Krul
        Bertrand, Naylor, Wisdom, Chester, Hutton
        Fabregas, Adm, Sterling, Sig, Boyd
        Costa, Aguero, Pelle

        0,3 ITB, 2 FT

Obvious idea is to do Sterling -> Sanchez and to enable this i have to downgrade someone.

I thought about Pelle -> Sakho but selling Pelle just before LEI at home scares me...

I could do Costa -> Sakho and bring him back in few gws in place of Pelle but i that case i would lose 0,2 (can sell him for 10,7 - now his price is 10.9)

        A.
        1. Sterling -> Sanchez
        2. Pelle -> Sakho

        B.
        1. Sterling -> Sanchez
        2. Costa -> Sakho and bring Costa after int
