Steven Fletcher scores twice as Sunderland grab a win at Palace. Vito Mannone drops to the bench as Costel Pantilimon earns his first start of the season, whilst Fraizer Campbell is in the points for the third home match in succession for Palace.

Fletcher at the Double

The Scotsman took his tally to four goals and an assist in the last four as the Wearsiders clinched a vital victory last night. Like QPR’s Charlie Austin, Fletcher is another forward whose contribution is looking crucial to his side’s survival bid – Sunderland have only scored six goals in the last six Gameweeks and the 5.3-priced frontman has now played a part in five of them. With Everton, City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the upcoming five fixtures, though, few will be willing to consider Gus Poyet’s main men right now.

Mannone Benched in Black Cats Reshuffle

Poyet finally swung the axe on his error-prone stopper last night as Costel Pantilimon took his place between the posts for Sunderland. In spite of his recent poor form, Mannone had proven a reliable source of save points for Fantasy managers, having chalked up at least one point for saves in seven of his nine appearances, but after last night’s omission, his 9.9% of Fantasy Premier League owners will be looking for an exit rout.

Absences Build for Sunderland

The Wearsiders look set to be without a couple of key first-team players for this weekend’s home clash against Everton. Patrick van Aanholt laid on his second assist of the season but was stretchered off with a possible dislocated shoulder shortly afterwards, whilst Lee Cattermole was true to form and fell off the suspension tightrope after earning his fifth caution of the campaign. Poyet is likely to turn to Liam Bridcutt (who grabbed an assist last night) to sit in front of the back-four against the Toffees, whilst elsewhere in midfield, a goal for Jordi Gomez and assist for Will Buckley could ensure they retain their weekend starting berths.

Campbell in the Points Again

The Eagles may be struggling in front of their own fans this season, with just one home win in five, but their 5.2-priced striker continues to benefit from Neil Warnock’s attacking approach. Campbell had scored against Leicester and Chelsea in the previous two at Selhurst Park and grabbed a somewhat fortuitous assist thanks to West Brown’s calamitous own goal last night. With three goals, an assist and three bonus points in his last six now, he looks the man most likely to deliver under the new manager, with last term’s top scorer Jason Puncheon once again overlooked as Wilfried Zaha continued on the right.

Defensive Frailties Continue for Warnock

The Palace boss partnered fit-again Scott Dann with Brede Hangeland in the heart of defence last night, with Damien Delaney – available after serving a one-match ban – left out of the squad altogether. The 3-1 defeat means the Eagles now have just two clean sheets in ten under their new manager and have worryingly conceded at least twice in the other eight matches – 19 goals against is just one fewer than the top-flight’s most porous defence (QPR, with 20) and underlines how quickly their defensive assets have fallen in the post-Pulis era.

Any suggestions on what to do with this?

    Foster Schmeichel
    Ivanovic Baines Bertrand Hutton Duff
    ADM hazard tadic siggy boyd
    Costa pelle welbeck

    2ft, 0 in the bank
Thinking ivan, siggy and welbeck to dummett, sanchez and berahino /sakho for -4?

I need to do Welbeck --> Costa, any suggestion? looks like i will have to take out one of my big midfielders... 1FT, 1.2m in the bank

    Krul (Elliot)

    Alderweireld Baines Wisdom (Hutton Dummet)

    Sanchez Siggy Fab DiMaria (Albrighton)

    Pelle Aguero Welbeck

    Hi Guys,

Sorry if I've missed this discussion elsewhere...

Too early for Walcott? He looked good for his first run out last W.E.

Wenger always brings him back slowly. No rush but defo monitor.

    2. Doolittle

Too early, he won't be getting 90 minutes yet, and Sanchez is on fire. It's a 'wait and see' I think, even as an ardent Walcott fan - could be a lot of rotation in those attacking areas.

Ivan's returns have dried up recently, a lot of people said early in the season he has a pattern of high returns early in the season but then they dry up as the season goes on, seems like its happening again doesn't it? I'd go for Coleman.

Welbeck > Costa OR Chadli / Siggy > ADM ; Head is saying get Costa, I've just topped my ML but everyone below me has him so vulnerable if he starts scoring again but fancy ADM to explode against Palace this week. How do we think Liverpool v Chelsea will go?

I'd wait on Costa unless it's a price thing. There bound to be dramas over the international break.
I'd go ADM. Liverpool will turn up against Chelsea and Mou tends to be tight away from home. Draw or Chelsea to just edge it by a goal.

No imo. Palace just conceded 3 at home to Sunderland and they're travelling to Old Trafford next whereas Sanchez has a much tougher fixture at Swansea.

Fair enough, I guess ADM is World Class too. Might do Fab or Siggy to Walcott instead at some point.

      I did.

Went Siggy > Downing on Saturday night before his first rise, but took a 0.1 hit on Sanchez to wait and see if ADM could convince me to keep him on Sunday.

It was now or never for me with Sanchez and I decided to go for it before I couldn't afford it anymore.

    Mandzukic and draxler ->

    B. Aubemeyang and texiera

    D. Aguero and texiera
    E. Other

These are a bit knee jerky from GW3, but I think that the two Shakhtar players are definitely worth looking at. Although they aren't playing at their own stadium, BATE looked poor.

Reus is on my radar but I wouldn't bother with Aubemeyang

I don't know. Feel bad about not owning Fab (or Hazard) but I need more players on day 1 so Koke is a no brainer for me on WC.
No Chelsea defence because I can only afford one more day 2 defender and I feel PSG has easier games. Still considering Luis tho 🙂

I don't see much upside in Koke - Malmo are strong at home and Atletico don't score many goals.

Picking Koke because he plays on day 1, can't have entire team playing on day 2.

ADM has 3 goals 4 assists with United. He had a different role with Real.

United just drew with Chelsea and almost got something out of a Manchester Derby with 10 men. RVP is looking good, you should at least keep for Palace.
