KPI Analysis – Defenders, Last Four Gameweeks

Having previously assessed the form of forwards and midfielders across the last four Gameweeks, our third Key Performance Indicator (KPI) article of the international break casts an eye over the defenders.

For the unfamiliar, these Key Performers Indicator (KPI) tables use a series of key stats to allow our members to track a trend in player performance as a guide to their form. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics, such as minutes per chance, and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain patterns of improvement or decline in these areas. For those unfamiliar, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

Saw Chinmusic on the previous page although I don't see him one here as much these days.

Checked his team as we play in a H2H this week.

Five 4 point hits in a row. 74k -> 687 in those 5 GWs 😯 Well played sir!

I'm sure most of the players who have got injured / doubts over the International Break are in my team, how is this possible? Or am I just overlooking others that I have forgotten about? Seems a bit coincidental otherwise!

Five defenders you would want to have on your WC team, excluding Baines?
I'm currently on Azpilicueta, Neil Taylor, Chambers, Hutton and Yun.

Dummett seems more nailed but I don't really know. Depends on your rotation - duff / wisdom could be the answer even if the rest of their fixtures are horrible.

How's people's perspective on Rooney ? He proved to be vital for the national team, he's Man U's captain and he's on corners, free kicks and penalties. I'd say he's great value for 10.2, but what do you think ?

I think Rambo will come good. Should have had an assist for a Welbeck goal last week, and almost scored with a volley..

I'd downgrade Hazard to Oscar persoanlly, just so you can have that 6.9 for a good starting mid.

I've never played a WC at such a short notice, but just too many injuries.
Will need you lot to help me here, so that I can do it well.

    My first stab looks like.

    Adrian, Jakupovic,
    Chambers, Taylor, Dummett, Hutton, Suk-Young,
    ADM, Hazard, Sanchez, Sigurdsson, Boyd,
    Aguero, Costa, Austin.

    0.0 ITB.

Hazard not really earning his 10.0 price tag is he?

You can't rely only on cheap options...you need someone better than Chambers who doesn't even have great fixtures. You should downgrade one between Hazard and ADM and upgrade Chambers at least.

Sakho, Milner, Clyne, Marc Wilson to.....

    A) Ayoze, Chadli, Azpilicueta, Yun

    B) Ayoze, Downing, Azpilicueta, Neil Taylor

    C) Just Clyne to Azpilicueta....

Just keen to do more as Di Maria, Fabregas, Sakho + Marc Wilson all doubts!

My luck with third strikers this week.

Initially got Austin. Missed pen, missed game, sold.
Then got Diouf. Missed game, blanked. played 26 minutes. sold.
Then Welbeck. Got an assist in midst of a lot of blanks.
Then Sakho. Blanked for the first time in weeks, then injured.

If you already got the hint, please don't buy Austin. 😉

    Aguero - Costa - SAKHO

I'm not, but also own all 3. I think it's a good option for a few reasons. One of which was a bit of stattage I did today which showed that of 25 goal involvements (goal and assists) strikers versus west brom had only 2.

      Personally I'm going Aguero.

I guess it's fair to say Aguero safe captain and Hazard for the punt probably no need to take a risk at this stage.. I'm 3rd in my mini league 11 points behind and the only team with Hazard..

I submitted a member article but know the table I had didn't come out looking that good. Not sure if it can be salvaged or if you want me to send again separately or if you don't care because the article was rubbish?
