Having previously assessed the form of forwards and midfielders across the last four Gameweeks, our third Key Performance Indicator (KPI) article of the international break casts an eye over the defenders.

For the unfamiliar, these Key Performers Indicator (KPI) tables use a series of key stats to allow our members to track a trend in player performance as a guide to their form. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics, such as minutes per chance, and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain patterns of improvement or decline in these areas. For those unfamiliar, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

What's City's lineup for Saturday? I don't see them playing two defensive mids as per predicted team. Jovetic upfront with Aguero, or Dzeko?

      citeh fan
I would expect both ferns to play-the monk was very cute when he played arsenal
dzeko is believed to be injured
4231-nasri,milner,yaya would be what i suspect with jove subbing for nasri/milner

had a look on blue moon to check other views
-fairly similar, general view not confident -but isn't that the traditional citeh view!

Swansea at home. They'll have to play a rookie centre half. Pellegrino should play two strikers and take advantage. But caution seems to be his default mode.

yes i'd play 2 strikers but he's awful cautious ,bartley's okay but not that good agreed
          watch out for barrow-very handy....

for citeh all eyes will be on midweek-he still wont save his job....
i'd have kept guidetti and negredo ...but these are other stories....

I'm swerving this match in fantasy terms

    Damn international breaks

    Have 6 players flagged with injuries & 4 players on 4 YC's

What to do? Please advise. 0.1m ITB.

    GK - Heaton, Schmeichal
DF - Chambers, Clyne, Saylor, Naylor, Wilson
MD - Fabregas, ADM, Siggy, Schneiderlin, Mane
    FW - Aguero, Costa, Welbeck

Presume a lot of players in similar situations. Any suggestions would be most helpful.

I personally mooted a -12 hit but was argued down to a -8. However, there's every chance most of the injuries will pass - wait until Friday pressers then hit panic mode.

Fab > Haz seems to be a popular move with the latter's injury/ suspension looming. Maybe switch Mane to someone cheaper as Saints fixtures take a southern turn soon.

You know what would be funny?

If all player I have - which all of you have as well - is not injured this week and actually scores well.

So the likes of Baines, di Maria, Cesc, Sakho and even McCarthy would all score at least 15 points.

    Yes.

    Not delusional at all.

    Worth wildcarding from this:

    FORSTER - HAMER

    Baines - CLYNE - Chambers - WISDOM - MOORE

DI MARIA - Hazard - Chadli - Sigurdsson - MARNEY

    Aguero - Costa - SAKHO

    .
    .
    .
    to this:

    GUZAN - GIVEN

    Baines - AZPI - Chambers - YUN - DUMMETT

    SANCHEZ - Hazard - Chadli - Sigurdsson - BOYD

    Aguero - Costa - AUSTIN

Just wait on injury news on Sakho and ADM. Dont need a WC imo

    Assuming Sakho is out,

    Sakho----->

    A) Austin
    B) Ayoze
    C) Diouf/Bojan
    D) Do Marney---->Walters, and just bench Sakho and play Walters.

    Cheers 🙂

Quite surprising that my TV is decent without taking any hits, it shows the importance of picking the right players!

I've got Baines, ADM, Downing (?) and Welbeck (who I'm selling anyway) all potentially injured. Got Moore too 🙁 I'll probably be relying on Naylor away at City 😯

Downing isn't injured! Ya I guess so. I got hurt without picking Fab the whole season.. Hopefully half my injury clear up so that I won't get a massive red arrow. Ya your TV is massive without taking a hit. I've been curbing taking a hit but I guess I've to take 2 over the course of the 2 gwks to come.. Swansea vs Manchester City. There's always a shock somewhere 🙂

Yeah I lost heaps of TV selling Fab and Siggy too, so it could've been even better 😉 I think this GW is going to be a pretty bad one for everyone with the majority of people having injured players, so I doubt we'll see a major swing in the ranks for either of us 🙂

Yeah. I wished I used Fab for the prices. Lost a lot with Sterling.. Held him for way too long. Ya I'm expecting a low gw score.. Which makes taking a hit kinda scary. I think you would maintain your position throughout the whole season! Mine fluctuates wah too much, which shows how close everyone is!

Ha, I haven't been this high in my FPL career so if I can keep it up I'll be really surprised. I'm gonna sit tight and not take a hit this week, hopefully that will be a little differential in itself. If you pick the right captain you'll get a green arrow IMO 🙂

I think you have enough skill to finish higher than your prev few years! Anything better than last year for me will be an achievement! Yeah I guess I'll wait till Friday and make a decision. I still have to get rid of players next week. Yeah that's true 🙂 Aguero vs Costa vs Sanchez for that!

Absolutely not no. Fixtures are starting to work in the former's favour somewhat. Why would you get rid of Hazard for Oscar? Also, Ameobi is a striker and a guff one at that isn't he?

Foster, Duff and Hutton can be kept. You can also hold onto Clyne for a couple of weeks, easily. If you are playing safe, you can work the rest of the moves in over a couple of gameweeks.

Like TT said, it all comes down to has who. Costa w/ the higher ownership will win at the end of the day, still not much in it on who's the better option.

      Kun at home against Brom
Costa at home vs a more sturdy Swans defense (albeit w/o Fernandez)

    Cahill, Clyne, Chambers, Wisdom, Naylor
    Sanchez, Downing, Mane, Siggy, Marney
    Aguero, Welbeck, Costa,

    1ft, 2.8m in the account.

Thinking either Baines in for Clyne (5.3) or Oscar for Mane.

Should I wait another GW to make any change?
