A disappointing Gameweek 19 comes to its conclusion this evening as Liverpool entertain Swansea at Anfield. Brendan Rodgers’ recent switch of tactics has brought Raheem Sterling back onto our radars – handed the central role up top in a 3-4-3, the youngster bagged the winner at Burnley last time out and, with a plum home clash against Leicester on Thursday, has the opportunity to persuade us he may be worth the investment.

At the back, the Reds have been decent in front of their own fans, earning a clean sheet in three of their last five Anfield encounters and will be buoyed by their visitors’ recent away form – Garry Monk’s side have scored just three goals in their last four road trips. Simon Mignolet returns between the posts this evening, whilst new boys Emre Can, Javier Manquillo and Alberto Moreno are all handed starts as Steven Gerrard joins Mario Balotelli on the bench.

Gylfi Sigurdsson’s away displays have afforded his owners cause for concern – the playmaker has blanked in six successive appearances outside of the Liberty and has failed to earn any attacking returns on the road since the season opener at United. Wilfried Bony’s imminent departure for the African Cup of Nations is also a concern, though with a goal or assist in five of his last six starts for the Welsh club, many owners will be happy to hold until he leaves for Ivory Coast duties in early January.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Lallana looking very good and coulda had a couple more goals.

sterling missed a lot of chances and needs a rest, might not play next game

hendo ticking over nicely too and is in a decent position when Lucas plays

coutinho is very hot n cold

If it was a left footer taking the corner, the goal might've been given. Think about it, how can the ball possibly curl inwards from a right footer on the right, unless it's hit with the outside of the boot which is clearly not the case.

once again so you can read it carefully

"Impossible for an out-swinging corner to go straight in"

is NOT talking about Hendo's corner right now but speaking generally.

You should be the one moving. Cheers.

                        1) either the corner was in-swinging or outswinging.

                        2) in-swing only happens when taken with the outside of the boot.

                        3) henderson did not take it with the outside of his boot

                        4) therefore the ball was swinging inwards

                        5) which means it couldn't have been on target

Good god. Do i need to explain to you what each part means as well

                        4) wasn't swinging inwards*

The corner wasn't goal-bound; Shelvey headed it goal-bound.

A corner is rarely a shot on target 🙂

I don't think it's even possible for a right footed corner to be goal bound from the right

Very conclusive that it was an own goal, those links. It's curling outward towards Lallana's head.

It really wasn't. Shelvey deflected it away from goal slightly

physics and the outside of your boot would wholly disagree with you
