As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

    worried about lack of chelsea and united coverage. also no coverage from everton and they have good fixtures coming up. suggestions?

    should i use 1.0 to upgrade fergeson to moses, use it for other upgrades or should I keep it in the bank?

    who should i captain? i'm thinking one of the forwards but i'm not sure who. and is given or hilario more likely to get the clean sheet?

    any advice/suggestions would be appreciated! thanks guys

    Vidic confirmed out fro 4-5 weeks and ferdinand out untill the end of August. that makes Spurs attack look like a good option. I think it coulkd be a high scoring game.

    Thoughts on RVP this season? I have backed him @ 10/1 to be top scorer in prem and also have him in my fantsy team. Do u guys think he can flourish this season without Fabregas and Nasri?

    I got 3.5 mil in the bank for later upgrades - wanna bring in some of VDV/RVP/Rooney/Aguero later, depending on form and availability.

    Do you reckon this is a good squad? Would you make any major changes?
    Would you bring Taarabt in for anyone else?

      iv done pretty similar, only 1.5mil in the bank to upgrade later. i've the same forwards & capt choice, in midfield i have silva in place of young, in defence i have a.cole, brown & enrique in place of bosingwa, senderos & de laet. i also have ruddy in place of hilario.

      im leaving taarabt on the bench also this week.

    I dont understand the 1000's tranfering in Aguro?? Not proven yet at all!

    Yeah he played well....2 goals and an assist!

    BUT they were playing SWANSEA!! A experienced premiership defense would not stand off him like they did for the 2nd goal and the 1st was a tap in??

    Did he do that when he came on against the real Manchester Team in charity sheild? NO!

      To be fair to him, it's quite hard to score two and assist one whilst sitting on the bench for 90 minutes, so you can't knock him for his Community Shield performance. He did sit there very well.

        not proven in the PL is a bit of cliche imo for worldclass international players, if you got that kind of skills like suarez, van der vaart or aguero, you can go straight in a hit the ground burning imo

      He is totally proven in La Liga and for Argentina. He is different class, and the only doubt was whether he will take time to adapt to the Premier League. Not all players do - and all the evidence so far is that he will hit the ground running.
