As if out of sympathy for the Fantasy Premier League, or podcast recording software crashed at the death this week. Finished. Kaput.

Panic ensued – hands on head there were cries of “I can’t go through that again” from host Mark as I desperately attempted to recover our lost words. Luckily, temporary files restored, our fifty fourth episode was rescued and rebuilt like Ledley King’s knee. Hopefully it won’t collapse again next week – like Ledley King’s knee.

Within it you’ll find unusually muted tones as Mark and I dissect the events or rather “non-events” of the weekend. Frustrations vented, this week’s broadcast picks up to its usual pace and departs on an optimistic note.

Gents, i am torn with this Bosingwa thing. I swore to myself I wasnt going to get caught up in last years rotating full back scenario - I feel he may get game time hit when Ivan is back (this week maybe???)

So, do I stick with Cole, and a lighter mid or uprgade and try bos (plus it enables me wes brown)?

Simple option of A or B

A - Cole / Gabbion / Moses / (pretty safe at the back for the year)

OR -

B - Bos / Wes Brown / £6.5m (Tarabt / Ramsey?)

  Im having my head turned on Bos as well. Just dont see why he'd be rotated for now - two home games etc. He's also a good amount to be able to straight swap with someone. I'd almost go with B (and look at Sessengon for that 6.5m spot).

    If I go for option B, with Bos it does help my mid and give me Wes Brown to help at the back. I think mid is little weak?

    Sess best for 6.5m? Didnt notice him much V LFC?
    
    For you, I wouldnt touch Mal with a russian barge pole!!! He was pants last week, and I think he may wel lose out when sturridge comes back. I think better options for cash e.g. Young.

      hmmm...cheers...but i've got Rooney so think that's UTD covered. Think with Mal is that Stoke away just isnt his type of fixture. WBA, NOR at home however....he could get a couple of his usual tap ins! (sturridge not back until after NOR?) I can worry about him after that!
      Your team is looking good. I have however just got rid of Silva - love him as a player and he'll make city tick but with the new bonus point system i worry that he wont be rewarded for it. Im thinking of having Aguerro as my main city cover (in a couple of weeks)
      Let's both go with Bos and screw Baines!

        I just updated my transfer planning spreadsheet, hopefully Bos will figure in next few games - so I am switching.
        
        Brown is useful to have, rotates perfectly with Simpson(if I ever play him) plus cover my other 3 nicely.
        
        I am keeping Silva (for now) will look at aguero GW4, with RVP as big 2 uptop.
        
        Decision now is for my £6.5m mid...

  id be tempted to punt bos over cole, esp now cech is out cleanies more at risk anyway so prefer to punt 5.5 def and reassess when cech back.... also potential bos keeps his place and cole is not worth 2m more if bos nailed on imo

        Yeah probably, it was wierd though. It wasn't a "f**K ye I won it two years ago I know what I'm talking about" kinda post it was just "I like to spend money on defenders who are sure of clean sheets, that's what helped me to win FPL 2 yrs ago" that's when I hit him with the "Are you Reeson in disguise" response but got nothing.

I always enjoy the podcasts, but anyone else missing the fixture review? I love my friday mornings at work, quiet day, turn on the podcast and just take note of the score predictions. Then have a quick look on the Internet for other predcitions and then make a few transfer plans.

The replacement segment highlights cleansheets etc and that's already covered by the paddy power stuff on a saturday.

Can we please have a return of the fixture review/predictions? For me, they are the highlight of the podcast, and I feel it isn't as good without them.

Which team would you go with? Not too happy about downgrading Suarez & Cole but the second team certainly gives a stronger squad, although I do love the first team's strikeforce

I am hating the prospect of seeing the new team of a main rival tomorrow. He had a poor team in my opinion, a dodgy first week and an awful one for gameweek 2 with plenty of surgery needed, I’m sure he would have had a trigger finger.. Whereas I had an average to good start with no transfers needed this week, sitting pretty. Now he has a second chance.

I am bitter. Gameweek 2 needs to hurry up so I can attempt closure 🙂

    I was thinking that but he has tough fixtures ahead of him. and my team is completely lacking a united player which would make nani/young appealing. however if i went with dempsey I could use 1.0 to upgrade ferguson to moses and keep .5 in the bank but not sure if thats worth it. pretty much clueless on this decision...
