As Tottenham gear up for an eye-catching run of fixtures, many Fantasy managers are lining up a route into Andre Villas-Boas’ attacking options. With Roberto Soldado failing to justify a place in our three-man frontlines, attentions have turned to midfield and, despite the re-emergence of Gylfi Sigurdsson in the last few weeks, doubts over his long-term starting role has seen our attentions focus on a couple of the club’s summer signings.

Paulinho and Christian Eriksen have both been subject to much debate on the site this week, with investment rising across the Fantasy games. In this next article for members, we cast an eye over their respective displays for the north London club and also analyse the Brazilian’s performances with and without the former Ajax man, in order to ascertain just what effect – if any – Eriksen has had on his fellow new boy.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Got a feeling Rooney will be benched this week. Dont trust Moyes. May be more to the injury that he is letting on.

He could be but I really doubt it. RVP playing 90 mins after returning from an injury and playing in ukraine could also be benched by the moyes logic. I am guessing both will start though

Its a kick to the shin.

Of all the injuries possible, this is one of the easiest to call. The alternative is what...outright lies from Moyes (not impossible), or the kick has broken his leg?

The dodgy ones are often where there is no detail or vagueness - Walcott's weird "unknown stomach problem" immediately rang alarm bells for me.

Play Turner (NEW) or Coleman (mci) ?

I'm leaning more towards Turner, but Coleman does offer that attacking threat..

I had a graft taken from hamstring to reconstructe the ACL. But since the op my knee has been grand. Very common injury. I'm always curious to see how other ppl manage wit the same operation.

Decided to do an analysis on the Everton - Newcastle game to calm myself down as an HBA owner

    http://espnfc.com/en/gamecast/367431/gamecast.html?soccernet=true&cc=4716

I watched the game live so certain assumptions are made from the game. If you look at the average positioning map you can see that HBA is basically the only player in newcastle who provided them with some width. Gouffran plays far too central( and Remy Started of as the CF). When HBA got taken off they had no width whatsoever.. cabaye came on for him and they did not really play with a winger on the left. When Cisse came on for Anita they shifted to a traditional
4-4-2 with Remy and Cisse upfront, Tiote and Cabaye in the centre and Sissoko just wasting time in front of them. If as people on here suspect that they'll play with the same team as in the second half vs everton i suspect we'll see the narrowest team formation in history
Sissoko, Cabaye, Tiote and Anita just cannot all play in the same team.. Barfa should start to give them an outlet and some width

Repost as it ended up last on the prev page

*Cisse replaced Anita @ 69 minutes. they played the last 21 as a 4-4-2 and the first 24 as a 4-3-3 with no wingers(? lol) ..
they could however go with a 4-3-3
      .............Cisse
      Remy..................Gouffran
      .............Cabaye
      Anita/Tiote...........Sissoko

but i'd bet tehy go for a 4-4-2 with Remy and Cisse upfront and Barfa and Gouffran/Jonas(thought i read he's back) on the wing to cover the walking mistake Santon

I apologise in advance for how long this post is.

Some of you would have seen my two post highlighting each teams best and worst fixture runs. I decided to put them in one post, and add a bit of extra information.

Using the FFS i came up with a way to pick the good & bad fixture runs.
-Each GOOD fixture run is a run of 6+ fixtures in a row with a maximum of 1 Difficult/Extremely Difficult fixture.
-Each BAD fixture run is a run of 6+ fixtures in a row with a maximum of 1 Favourable/Very Favourable fixture.

    Arsenal - G: 19-24 & 33-38, B: 14-19 & 25-33

Aston Villa - G: 11-20, B: None

Cardiff - G: 14-19 & 32-37, B: 20-26 & 8-13

    Chelsea - G: 11-16, B: None

    Crystal Palace - G: 10-15, B: 24-29 & 31-37

    Everton - G: 16-22, B: 22-27 & 31-37

Fulham - G: 33-38, B: 9-18 & 22-28

Hull City - G: 22-28, B: 29-36

Liverpool - G: 26-31, B: 30-36

Manchester City - G: 25-31, B: 12-21

    Manchester United - G: 7-12, 15-21, B: 28-33

Newcastle - G: 27-32, B: 20-27 & 32-38

Norwich - G: 13-18, 28-33, B: 32-38

Southampton - G: 21-26, B: 12-20

Stoke - G: 29-35, B: 15-21 & 24-29

    Sunderland - G: 19-25, B: 11-16 & 33-38

Swansea - G: 7-16, B: 16-22

    Tottenham - G: 14-19 & 33-38, B: 25-32

West Brom - G: None, B: 7-14

    West Ham - G: 19-27, B: 7-12 & 33-38

To add to this info I came up with a points system to rate each fixture run to rank the top 6 BEST Fixture Runs and the top 6 WORST Fixture Runs.

This post is too long already to put the point system i used in but if you want to know just ask. For those who care, I took fixture easiness/difficulty, FPL relevance and the number of fixtures in the run into consideration.

    6 BEST Fixture Runs
    1. Swansea: GW 7-16
    2. Arsenal: GW 19-24
    3. Aston Villa: GW 11-20
    4. Arsenal: GW 33-38
    5. Manchester City: GW 25-31
    6. Everton: GW 16-22

    6 WORST Fixture Runs
    1. Southampton: GW 12-20
    2. Arsenal: GW 25-33
    3. Fulham: GW9-18
    4. Manchester City: GW 12-21
    5. Arsenal: GW 14-19
    6. Tottenham: GW 25-32

    Enjoy & use wisely 🙂

Good work, the only thing wrong with this type of analysis is it doesn't always take into account particular teams performance against other styles of play, as in some teams perform better against more attacking teams so what could be a bad fixture on paper is actually decent for that team

GW7 preview - From another FF game I play.

      Manchester City V Everton
Everton remain the only unbeaten team in the league and Man City will have their work cut out containing the likes the Lukaku and Barkley. Roberto Martinez seems to be getting the best out of his players and with Leighton Baines they have the threat of a dead ball specialist. Man City will want to get back to winning ways after the defeat to Aston Villa to keep up with the teams at the
      top.

      One to watch: Yaya Toure
      Score prediction: 2-2

      Cardiff V Newcastle
Fresh from the win at Fulham, Cardiff will want to carry that on against a Newcastle team that look out of sorts. I can see a tight game but with home support fancy Cardiff to get a result. Newcastle do of course have match winners in their team and will be looking for something out of the game to try and lift them up the table.

      One to watch: Whittingham
      Score prediction: 1-0

      Fulham V Stoke
After both of these teams suffered disappointing home defeats in gameweek 6 they will want to make amends. Martin Jol will be desperate for the points after the rumours circulating about his future and he will need Darren Bent at his best. With both teams struggling for goals I can’t see a classic here myself, although I have been known to be wrong on occasion!

      One to watch: Darren Bent
      Score prediction: 1-1

      Hull V Aston Villa
With both teams collecting the wins in gameweek 6 and both in good form, this one will be hard to call. Hull have been playing well under Steve Bruce and home advantage could be the difference here. With Robbie Brady in good form I expect him to put in another solid performance. Aston Villa though showed they can pose a serious goal threat without talisman Christian Benteke after putting 3 past Man City.

One to watch: Robbie Brady (cheers Rob Wright!!)
      Score prediction: 2-1

      Liverpool V Crystal Palace
Liverpool will certainly want to push on and I can’t see past a reds victory. They were stunned at home by Southampton but Crystal Palace have looked weak so far this season. With Suarez back and firing, a Suarez or Sturridge captain has to be on the menu! If Liverpool can get a good start I expect a few in this one.

      One to watch: Luis Suarez
      Score prediction: 4-0

      Sunderland V Manchester United
Managerless and bottom, things are not looking good for Sunderland but with Man Utd having their worst start to a season in 24 years, now will be as good a time as any to play them. Man Utd should have Robin van Persie back to full fitness and with him in the side goals are never far away. If Sunderland can keep Rooney quiet they might have a chance.

One to watch: Robin van Persie
      Score prediction: 1-3

      Norwich V Chelsea
I haven’t been overly impressed with Chelsea so far and with Norwich fresh from a victory at Stoke this one could be hard to call. I, like many others can’t understand why Mata isn’t starting games this season. He came off the bench to set up John Terry for the equaliser last time out against Spurs and with Fernando Torres serving a suspension; he may get his chance here.
      One to watch: Oscar

      Score prediction: 0-2
      Southampton V Swansea

With the Saints riding high in the EPL and very tight in defence, I can see another tight one here. Swansea though have some decent attacking options and with Michu have a world class player. Southampton will want to win as many as they can at home and I don’t expect them to drop points here.

      One to watch: Pablo Osvaldo
      Score prediction: 1-0

      Tottenham V West Ham
Spurs will want to keep pace with the top teams and with West Ham struggling I can see Spurs taking maximum points in this one. Tottenham have so many attacking options and have bought well with the Gareth Bale money. West Ham will need to start picking up some more points soon to avoid being pulled further down the table.
      One to watch: Paulinho

      Score prediction: 3-1
      West Brom V Arsenal

After stunning the champions at Old Trafford, West Brom will be hoping for more of the same but Arsenal will be enjoying it at the summit of the EPL and will not be prepared to relinquish that seat easily. Mesut Ozil has been outstanding since his arrival and Arsenal will need his creativity to break down a stubborn West Brom side.

      One to watch: Mesut Ozil
      Score prediction: 0-2

Davies didn't keep him out. When Taylor came back from injury in the last few weeks, they shared gametime. Doesn't mean that will happen now, and in fact I don't think it will. But it's enough to scare me off.

His average position on the field is similar to RVP, just a touch wider. It really isn't madness.

As Doosra said, his finishing has let him down this season big time!

Yeah that's looks solid my friend. Strong bench. I'd be tempted to play Coleman over Clyne to spread some risk, though (as you've got Boruc). I can't see either saints or Everton keeping a cleanie this week so would be tempted to go for the more attacking one.

            It sure is.

Yeah, I think I agree - RMT says Clyne, but I'm not so sure about a saints cleanie this week. Plus, Citeh's defence has been a bit shaky so hopefully they'll concede.
