The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

@Beavis. He's nearly 3, he's brilliant and funny. I look after him every minute I'm not working. We also have a 10 month old, he's so easy going and fun to be around. Hard work but worth it.

The flip side is relationship deterioration, couples counselling starting next well. The joys of life.

Check my history. I'm hardly ever here nowadays. 4 months of shit. She's out and I've had the kids from 5am to 8am, then 1pm until bed. If I'm not with them I'm working. Responsible parent, doing what's needed and keeping my chin up, especially when it's tough.

In case people think that they should sub out Aguero to accommodate Costa based solely on the fact that Silva is out...

PL games Silva missed last year:
    GWs 4-6, 11-15, 20, 26, 36

Aguero featured in all but 2 of those games, for a total of 9 games and his stats for those games:
    6 goals and 1 assist*

These games also included the 4-1 thrashing of United where he scored 2.

*note this is from transfermarkt so maybe he had other FPL assists as well (non-Opta accounted for)

    Don,
You have for 5 seasons been average at best (like many of us on here), don't turn into a complete prat or insufferable troll because you've strung 9 good gameweeks together.
Put 2 or 3 good seasons on your history and people might listen, trust?...... Na.

City are a different proposition with 5 in midfield and Aguero up front. 4-2-2-2 never looks good for them.

          - You'd lose value on ADM providing you didn't just buy him
          - ADM could easily do well this week, City's defence is shaky
          - QPR will be high on confidence after last weeks win
          - Everything United does goes through ADM
          - Hazard has shown flashes of brilliance but that haven't been translating into FPL points
          - It's costing you 2 transfers, something could pop up this GW that requires you to make a transfer, so your plan would be ruined

          Enough? 😉

I don't understand these Pardew comments. Newcastle fans wanted him sacked, and for good reason. Their results have been woeful for a long time. The only way for Pardew to get the fans back onside is to win football matches, and he's starting to do that. They deserve to see their team win a game like this, celebrate while you can, I say.

2-3, but will be an open game (if united unlucky and Aguero can play 60+ mins then any score with 6-8 goals are possible)

Aguero with a double before he is subbed off. Rooney volley, ADM free kick and Fella on the head.

              Maybe because of this.

NOTE: You must use the numeric key pad; if you use the number keys on the top of the keyboard, the characters will not appear.

Plus your obvious hatred of Costa for a FPL team shows how little you really know and how your decisions are based solely on emotion. Costa is training and will be declared for on Friday. 'Only shot against City, that's against Maribor. Been used for his width creating overloads on the wings, not even in the half space , runs don't equal points, neither do successful dribbles. He is not cutting in and getting shots away like he was last season. He did this once against palace, he has been infuriating to watch as an owner .Two goals he has scored have been penalties.'

if I had a dollar for everytime someone said "explosion imminent" about Haz...

the man is not FPL relevant if Costa is on the field. he doesn't cut in NEARLY as often so as to not encroach Costa's space. expensive penalty taker more or less.

Hazard is a flat track bully tho.

Same thing last year Hazard didn't start to great then everyone ditched him.

last year and this year are NOT trendable. last year there was no Costa, Hazard free reign of the field. look at his performances without Costa and then a performance like United where he was everywhere.

fact of the matter is, Di Maria was the 2nd/3rd best player at REAL MADRID last season depending on how you rated Modric's season. the man is electric, drop at your own peril. I'm keeping him and Cesc until GW38

City and Arsenal aren't consistent. these are not bad fixtures for attackers.

Di Maria has 6 more points than Hazard despite missing the first 2 matches and ISN'T the penalty taker for his team..Hazard is too expensive for what he offers with Costa on the pitch. Cesc is the better pick over the course of a season.

Don't ask. Terrible season so far in terms of TV.

0.2 on Davis, 0.5 on Costa, 0.1 on Diouf/Austin/Eriksen/Rooney, and now, 0.2 on Sterling.

You still have Costa and Sterling. So you can value back from them.

I'm talking about the ones that you have sold already for a loss.

Oh yes, 0.1 on Mata, too.

Since TotalFPL and FISO went boink, I've pretty much been ignoring the rises and falls.

Maybe to my detriment but I'm enjoying just picking the players in form and the players I want instead of worrying about the money.

I have only lost .1 all season , and that was on Sterling this week. I expect to lose another .1 on him this week and also on bego.

Of course the sterling one is just giving back profits , hes still higher than i bought him for

Are you into book-keeping by any chance?
I don't think about prices I think about points and, not making a transfer is underrated.

Team value = points after the second wildcard. Wish I'd jumped on a few more bandwagons at the start of the season.

Is that written in FFS folklore? Second wildcard? I've still got my first

January wildcard. There's a reason everyone does so well on here in the second half of the season compared to casual players. It's because they have about 3m extra to use.

0.1m on Caulker, Powell, Mata and Falcao...oh and Shane Long who was a panic purchase as I was sure Bojan was going to drop after GW2.

Looking at those picks I question my mental state.

I'd question the state of my pants if I had made your transfers.

Bojan to Long? I assumed Saints had spent 10million on a player who might get a game.

Powell was my 5th mid, got him in on my GW3 wild card, again looked like he was signing to get some first team football, apparently not.

Had you ever seen Long play before? That should have been the warning you needed

I'm not wealthy enough to have a full scouting team dedicated to providing in depth analysis on every player I'm considering for my fantasy league team unfortunately.

But Southampton probably do, and they agreed to pay £10m for him so can't be too terrible.

0.1 on Rooney, Mata, Dzeko and Marney. 0.2 on Caulker.

Only lost 0.1 on mata early on.
However, i sold costa for no profit when he was supposedly injured after 2 gameweeks. Then he scored 5 in the next 2 games and 4ose to 10.8, which is when i pirchased him again. Would that be considered a 0.3mil loss?
