The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

            Thanks - I'm tempted to ditch Cahill after this week for a cheaper DEF such as Duff to fund for Aguero and with Baines and Clyne playing every game, should have enough covered with Wisdom, Dummett and Duff (for now at least!)

            And yeah exactly, hopefully Berahino picks up a goal, or Kun has a quiet one and his price doesn't rise more, though funding around 2.2 with Cahill --> Duff potentially, hopefully it won't make too much difference!

    That advert for The Flash.

    He runs at super sonic speed to catch a cyclist whose in midair after being hit by a taxi cab.

    Plot flaw straight away there.

    The speed The Flash is going is equivalent to a high speed train hitting the cyclist. The Flash making any contact with him at that speed would surely do more damage to the bloke than a braking taxi.

            I thought that was more of a 'woh what are you doing reply'. Have Costa, Kun, Pelle up top. Costa will get reduced minutes IF he plays. Kun with no Silva and now the only player Manure need to mark. Pelle on amazing form and Hull aren't rock-solid at home, having let in 2 to Villa, Hammers and Toon so far.
            Other options could be Sterling v Toon, but they kept out City this morn... And Pool can't score.

      Inevitable really. We lack an obvious centre forward alternative - not sure Long is up to leading the line for us at the Britannia and Mane's still recovering from international duty. We have virtually no cover at right back - it would've been Cork probably which isn't ideal. And we don't have a creative force like Tadic.
