Philippe Coutinho is a doubt for Liverpool’s clash with Spurs. Sunderland stopper Vito Mannone has been ruled out for at least three months, Ryan Bertrand faces a late assessment after returning to training, whilst Arsene Wenger has still to decide whether he will start Mesut Ozil at Watford.

Philippe Coutinho is rated a doubt for Liverpool’s trip to Spurs. The midfielder has picked up a hamstring problem and was only able to take part in light training yesterday. Emre Can (ankle) and Divock Origi (cramp) are also both uncertain to feature. The pair picked up problems during the midweek cup win over Burton Albion and will be assessed, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

Vito Mannone has been ruled out for “a minimum of three months” with elbow ligament damage, David Moyes confirmed earlier today. John O’Shea remains out with a hip problem, though the Black Cats are hopeful that Fabio Borini will recover from a toe injury in time. Lamine Kone will be assessed later today.

Arsene Wenger will make a late decision on whether to start Mesut Ozil in Arsenal’s clash with Watford. The Gunners boss also admitted that Olivier Giroud is “a fraction behind physically”.

Joe Ledley and Wayne Hennessey are “struggling” to be passed fit for Palace’s clash with Bournemouth. Alan Pardew has also conceded that Christian Benteke is likely to start on the bench due to a lack of match fitness, with Connor Wickham leading the line.

Watford boss Walter Mazzarri has conceded “it’s nearly impossible” that he will field all three new signings, Daryl Janmaat, Younes Kaboul and Roberto Pereyra from the start against Arsenal. Isaac Success is available for selection after overcoming a hamstring complaint.

Mark Noble is expected to recover from a knock in time for West Ham’s trip to Man City. Slaven Bilic says “maybe one” of Dimitri Payet or Manuel Lanzini will be ready for the Etihad. Havard Nordtveit is almost certain to miss out with a foot problem.

Nampalys Mendy (ankle) and Jeffrey Schlupp (muscle) are both unavailable for the visit of Swansea. Claudio Ranieri remains optimistic that both could return immediately after the international break.

James McCarthy, Darron Gibson and Tom Cleverley are all expected to recover from minor knocks in time for Everton’s home clash with Stoke. Seamus Coleman has stepped up his recovery from an ankle issue but remains on the sidelines.

Swansea’s club-record Borja Baston remains unavailable for the weekend trip to Leicester due to a thigh problem. Neil Taylor will feature for the Under 23s this evening and will also miss out against the Foxes as he builds up his match fitness.

Ryan Bertrand is back in full training and will be assessed ahead of Southampton’s clash with Sunderland. Jeremy Pied (knee) is ruled out, though Oriol Romeu has recovered from the knock that forced him off against Man United on Friday night.

Hugo Lloris is still sidelined with a hamstring injury for Spurs’ clash with Liverpool, though Kevin Wimmer has recovered from a similar complaint. Mousa Dembele serves the fifth of a sixth-match suspension.

Jack Butland and Glen Johnson remain sidelined for Stoke’s trip to Everton, though Mark Hughes refuses to rule out Xherdan Shaqiri, who has yet to train this week due to a calf complaint.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Hey Mark. Agreed on your stance with this.

One thing I'd like to suggest is making sure we get as much on here as the official site does - there was a lot about the midweek cup games for example that has barely been touched on here. Scout notes/round ups of cup/international games are a key element. Whether they're word for word copies or not, not really bothered - just nice and convenient to only have to visit one site, instead of visiting both.

Fair play Mark. However now that you have dedicated your time to FFS, I'd be grateful if you could improve the members area - by creating a better platform with a members-only chat (so that we can discuss stats). The members area needs a bit more attention, otherwise people will stop coming here.

I agree with this as well. It would be good to have articles where e.g. comments are restricted to members at the very least. It would be good to be able to fully chat about stats etc without the masses participating and clogging up the pages with rubbish

I am as annoyed as the next guy about the "spoon feeding" happening. But this is not an opportunity Mark could turn down in reality and he clearly has our community here in mind. Clearly his focus is not as much on this site at the moment but I'm sure he will bring it back here once he has fully adjusted to the official business that is going on.

Cheers for all the great work Mark.

Thanks for taking the time out to reply Mark.

I get the point that the Premier League are trying to employ a social media team to try and get more people involved in the game, but my question is that why are you providing them information which is based solely on the community's research (*cough cough* the Dembele theory)? Surely that encourages people on here to keep information based on their own research solely to themselves rather than post it on here and expect it to be made public to 3.7 million people with 1 tweet?

What would help me is if there was FFS twitter post or an article on here telling us where we can see the FPL content.

I liked the two-part show done after week 1 but not sure whether there's more of that sort of thing or where these shows/articles are availble.

For example posting the link to Jonty's weekly radio appearance.

In general the FPL community could now be getting a summary flavour for a lot of the key discussions but I don't see that it can still compete with the minutia and real-time impact of this site.
I mean Wanyama, Fer and possibly Barry are rising whil Mane, Firmino and Tadic fall !!!
We're still in the driver's seat here.

      Best of luck Mark.

There's no problem here at all imo. Loads of our content was on the PL site last season and the season before that, lots of duplication. And I agree It will just make it more competitive in the long run.

Members' site does need some nip-and-tuc and private chat lounge would be good

Thanks for all the work !!

    Annoying RP.

    1) Rondon - Gradel - Evans - Pickford - 4.1 def
    2) Stuani - Redmond - Friend - Foster - 4.5/4.6 def

I have Jaku as 2nd keeper and happy to roll with Pick/Jaku.
    Already have Amat.

I prefer 1 but I think 2 is more balanced (IF Stuani starts)
At least all in 1 will start apart from the def which will be always benched (Assuming Howe realises Gradel is their best player)

1 - gives you Rondon (dont like Stuani pick)
2 - gives you Redmond + better defense

must be 2 out of those but I would think about some other combo.

Now there are two 4mill keepers on show, is it worth getting them? It may not necessarily wreak of clean sheets, but its what you can do with the extra 0.5/1mill that you have to factor in.

They aren't the worst rotations in the world either I guess.

Going with both is a great option.

On my WC next week it will either be Foster/4.0 or Jaku/Pickford.

Cheap GK's are always the best value. The DDG's etc are no good because they hardy ever get save points/baps.

Horribly close to my team. My only difference this week is Shaw instead of Valencia and Targett instead of Friend (And I have Capoue on the bench instead of Watson).

I think Rondon for Gray makes sense, as I posted on someone else's RMT with 2 free transfers earlier. As you have only one free, waiting makes sense too. You might prefer doing Benteke to Gray in a few days when you've seen how this week has gone, and what ban Gray receives.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

With a template forming thanks to the goals of Aguero, Zlatan and the 6.5 forwards the search for a differential is now more than important than ever.

Who is your differential tip for GWK 3 that has a low ownership but will score big.

Here's mine Tadic - a shameful 4.5% ownership, but some of the most eye poppingly good underlying stats of the season and a poor Sunderland side up next.

Here is one, the defence! (Maybe), could be quite a few clean sheets this weak

A lot of teams lacking in goal threat against reasonable defences,

West Ham without a forward against city,
      Chelsea against Burnley,
      A poor Sunderland against Southampton,
      Mourinho against an overreachimg Hull
      Last years champions against Swansea
      Arsenal against a poor Watford
Everton against a demoralised Stoke (dodgy this one)
Even West Brom Middlesborough could be one!

Although he has been around for a while David Silva should
have a field day against My team West Ham. Our defence is just not settled and after a terrible performance in the Europa qualifier our confidence will be at a low. Hopefully i will be proved wrong, but i fear the worst. Just as an aside, he only has 4.8% ownership.

My differential tip may be a little premature as it may not happen this gw, but I have no doubt it will happen given this player's pedigree.

With that being said, if he does play this gw I think Gradel could arrive back into our thoughts with a bang against a struggling Palace defense.

I think this guy could be this season's Mahrez once he gets going, and now at 5.4mil he could be the perfect 4th mid enabler who can actually produce consistent attacking returns like Mahrez did last season.

He may not have pens like Mahrez did, but he is a very similar player in many ways and possesses the same quality, especially with his end product.

A goal in midweek could have been the confidence boost he needed, and I have a feeling all he needs is a couple goals to go on a run.

Watch this space as he could be the perfect wc target if that 0.1mil becomes a block to building your ideal team. 😉

Bolasie. He's gonna be the beast, leaving Barklallas in his shadow.

Rondon. Owned by just 3.7%, up against Boro at home (who have thus far conceeded the joint top most shots in the box thus far.....)

Fabregas. Think he might start against Burnley, as they will control this game. Think he might bring an assist or three.

Llorente. Can see that being 0-0 or a 1-0 win for Leicester.
Leicester haven't given away a lot of chances (total of 1 per game I think).

    Morning All,

Quick straw poll please. Who to start:

    a) Capoue (ARS)

    b) Gray (che)

    2 FT

    Mahrez - Firmino - Lamela - Fletcher - Redmond
    Zlatan - Kun - Gray

Better options than: Firmino + Fletcher -> Barkley + Fer
    And bench gray

    Thanks
